After bringing home a new kitten, our one year old cat started having some digestive/urinary problems. We had a terrible experience at a different vet and so we were very worried about where to take her. Not only were we traumatized from this experience, but our cat was now terrified of the vet. However, Country Side exceeded our expectations. Everyone in the office treated our cat like their own. They were warm and welcoming and were very gentle with her. They allowed our cat to become comfortable first before doing their exam. The staff here were amazing with her and I can’t speak highly enough of them. They even had our cat playing and eating treats out of their hand!! They also answered all of our questions and concerns and made us feel welcomed as well.

Doc is amazing!! Payslee is our "problem child", she has extreme reactivity issues.. I've never seen her get this comfortable with a "stranger" so quickly before. Doc sat on the floor with her and spoke in a soft, sweet voice, it was like our girl immediately knew she was safe with doc! ❤️ She was able to give Payslee a full exam, which completely blew my mind.. I've had to try 4 different vets within the last 5-6 years, because no one has made me feel comfortable enough to be around Payslee but, I think I've FINALLY FOUND THE ONE!! We will definitely be coming back! She even gave us information to be put in touch with a trainer who specializes in working with Border Collies. 😊🙌

Dr. Lisa has been our vet for nearly 20 years. She is the best and most caring that I have ever encountered. She has a thorough knowledge of animal medicine, and her number one concern is the care and comfort of the animals she treats. That said, she is also very sensitive to the people who own those animals. She takes the time to explain exactly what’s going on and what options you have for treatment. She is particularly excellent with older animals who have a lot of medical issues. I have sent a number of people to her, and all of them have been thrilled with the outcomes they have had. I simply can’t say enough good things!

We’ve been going to Countryside for 10 years and this is the best place to take your cat or dog! Dr. Lisa Hutchins and the staff are very loving and accommodating. Whenever I take my dog in, I can trust that he is getting the best care. If a specialist is needed, they have the best contacts. Countryside has very reasonable pricing as well as a virtual storefront to purchase supplies/medicine online. After caring for my dog (who is 16!) for all these years, I can say they truly are family.

You can't ask for a better Vet! She has taken the best care of my dog Tip, gone above and beyond!When your vet will get down on the ground to sit with the dog, you know you have someone who cares about animals!So long as I live in the area and Countryside remains open it will be my vet of choice!Edited in January 2024 to add: It's been years now since our boy Tip has passed. We now have another Dog, Maverick, who has had to use Lisa and teams services a few times. Still remains the best vet in the area, no questions! After a visit today for one of our cats, I was reminded why we continue to choose Countryside! Excellent service and even better employees 🙌

I'm always blown away by how caring, kind and professional the staff is. My cat has a very hard time going to the vet and they do everything they possibly can to calm him and make him comfortable. Moving out to the area has been such a blessing for our family before of this amazing vet clinic. I highly recommend them ❤️

The entire staff is highly skilled and compassionate. Dr. Lisa is an exceptional veterinarian. Unbelievably caring and knowledgeable. She didn’t give up when my dog was very sick. I had my Libby for an additional happy 6months due to Dr. Lisa’s close monitoring and treatment.

We have used lots and lots of vets over the years. We are so glad and so thankful we met the wonderful vets and staff at countryside. They 100% treat you and your pets like family. Their prices reflect that. They are not there just for your money. They are so nice and so friendly. We have an absolutely amazing visit everytime. Our pets are extremely fond of them. Diagnosed my dog, who was obviously in pain and bleeding from his nostril, as being allergic to storage mites and having thyroid issues even tho thyroid tests didn't indicate it. Took him somewhere else where they immediately x-rayed the dog's head and found a tumor in his snout. The prognosis was very poor.Countryside called a week later to find out how the dog was doing when I told them "their services were no longer required." A week or two after that I got a card welcoming me to their practice.So they have poor diagnostic skills and don't recognize when they've been fired.

We took a stray kitten in that was pretty sick and they took wonderful care of him, cleaning him up and taking the time to really look him over. Our 1 lb little boy will now be healthy thanks to them. I think the whole staff stopped in to see the little guy. Such a sweet staff!

I LOVE this clinic. Dr. Kutchins is the best vet I've ever been to. She's informative, educational, kind, compassionate, personable and all around awesome. I took my elderly dog here. Shes arthritic. Instead of lifting her onto the exam table The doctor sat on the floor with her and pet her and made her feel comfortable. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!

Very rude and care was not explained well (surprise charges on bill that were not discussed at visit). Unorganized as nothing was written down and we were not allowed inside (doctor thought our cat's eye was infected for 6 to 9 weeks when she told us her diagnosis and it was really only cut 6 to 7 days previous and just starting to show sign of infection 2 days before appointment, yet the doctor didn't change her diagnosis, which ended up being wrong). Was switching to this vet since I recently moved here. Priced very high compared to my previous vet, which I have decided to make the 40 minute drive to continue care there instead, since I can get better care for half the price and be treated with respect. We also tried to call back after appointment and the phone calls would not go through at first. Then we left a message and never received a call back. When we finally got through almost a week later they asked why we didn't call sooner (with an attitude of course).

An outstanding clinic for pet needs. Dr. Kutchins is knowledgeable, compassionate and dedicated. It is obvious that she has the animal concerns as a priority. She thoroughly explains her diagnosis and recommendations but listens to you and your questions. Your pet is treated with respect and dignity and kindness. Yet she doesn't sugarcoat a situation and will you an honest opinion. Her staff reflect her caring attitude and are competent and well trained. It is worth the 35 mile drive for me to go there even though there are many vets closer to me.

We were loyal customer of over 12 years, but the clinic has changed. Due to price gouging and deceptive business practices, we won't be back.After expressing my concern, the vet called me, chewed me out, then hung up on me. I didn't get to say a word. Rude and unprofessional.

My boyfriend and I brought home our Goldendoodle Buddy. We reached out to Countryside Veterinary because it was close to our home. We definitely hit the jackpot. Our visits have been easy and Buddy gets excited seeing the entire staff. Today I wanted to find out what his current weight is and they were so accommodating to have us stop by to find out. We really appreciate this business! Dr. Lisa loves our lab, Chessie, and Chessie recognises her when she comes to the car to talk to me, barking her head off with joy!Our Chocolate, Aubrey, had fluid on her liver and her cardiac sac. I contacted her after hours to tell her we were going to a hospital with a cardiologist in Southfield. She recommended MSU - we didn't know they had a 24 hour hospital. Got the best care there, too! Saved her life!Aubrey is doing great, will take her soon for a follow up as well as Chessie with Dr. Lisa. Icing on the cake? We get a lab puppy, same breeder as Aubrey and Chessie on 6/28/21! Dr. Lisa and staff will care for her, too. Can't go wrong with this clinic!
