I inherited a long hair cat who had been groomed before but was moved 300 miles from "home". He had some matting on his bits that was urgently needed to be cleaned up by a pro. Unfortunately with a new groomer, new home and a lot of scary changes, he had anxiety but instead of forcing him through it, they did what was necessary to get rid of the matting and invited us both back after a break. What was done was done with care and also looks good. You can tell he is feeling better.We'll be back as soon as possible to finish the rest after he chills out a bit.

Left my furbaby on time for complete grooming .Came back 2 hours later to to hear her crying and barking and they still hadn't done anything!I decided to trust them to say she's next and all they did was give her a cut that looked like a Weed whacker was used. THAT is All they did and still charged me ! I think they took advantage of me being a male owner that didn't want to cause a scene and insist on giving my furbaby back after being left in the for over 4 hours. Yes! I was intimidated by the all female staff being a male owner of a Yorkie and let them do whatever they wanted. I can only say it will NEVER happen again!

Be cautious! The staff may tell you they found fleas on your dog to make extra money. They did this to me and was very rude when I questioned it. They insist I pay an extra $25. I knew my dog did not have fleas, so to be certain, I took my dog immediately to the vet and was told there were no signs of flea bites etc. Not sure why they like to scam their customers, but it happens at Clawson Paws Pet Grooming.

If you're looking for a great place to take your furry friend, look no further than Clawson Paws. This place is simply the best! The staff is made up of super nice ladies who are incredibly gentle and caring with all the dogs that come through their doors. I've taken my dog here multiple times and every time he comes out wagging his tail and in great spirits. It's clear that the team at Clawson Paws truly loves and cares for every animal that comes through their doors. Poor communication and follow-through all around. It took several times reaching out for them to call me back for an appointment. I took my Blue Heelers here before and they called me to tell me their power was out and I had to leave work to pick them out. They promised they would call and reschedule and give me a discount on the next appointment. I never heard from them. I just tried to make an appointment for my dogs today and they said they don’t have anyone who can handle dogs of this size (both dogs under forty pounds). The pictures they’ve posted have dogs much larger than mine. They were very cryptic about timeline and said several times “We won’t be able to take care of them for a very long time.” I would have thought the person on the phone would lead with that statement as opposed to going back to the groomers and returning with this verdict. If I had been going to them for years and had some sort of history I might wonder if I had done something wrong to offend them but having only been there once I think I’m dealing with a poor business owner/operation. Find someone else to take care of your pups.

Wow. Just fantastic. I had to take my cat to them because she had severe matting all around her body. I was super worried because my cat has anxiety and doesn’t love other people. When I got there, everybody in the building was so friendly. The owner is one of the nicest people I have met. And they did a fantastic job on my cat. The appointment maybe took 45 minutes at max because my cat loved the owner so much. When I got my cat back, all the matting was gone. She looks fantastic. They were also super considerate. I had to reschedule because I had to get my cat her vaccinations and they were super understanding and I booked my appointment within a minute. They also gave me a call the day before my appointment which was extremely helpful. I don’t usually leave reviews on places but this place was so good I had to. Just an all around wonderful place that does a great job grooming with friendly staff and reliable service. Love this place!

My cousin recommended I try out this groomer. She was very pleased with how well her long hair cat was groomed so I wanted to give it a shot. This is the first time I have ever taken my black long hair cat to a groomer. He needed a sanitary trim and a nail cut. I have never been able to trim his nails either. Michelle and Kate we're able to accomplish the impossible and all without harming my cat one bit. They kept offering to do even more than what I asked for. Excellent service. I was very anxious and the friendly staff here did everything possible to ease my nerves. My cat is happy, well trimmed, and his nails are not bleeding at all. The price was also extremely fair. Michelle, the owner, said to contact her immediately if anything is not to my liking. Nice to have such a great groomer so close by. Will for sure spread the word. Thank you!

Wonderful place and very nice women work there! I took my cat in to have some mats taken out under his arm pits. I truly didnt know how she was going to do it. I stayed there and my young and spunky cat just fell into a love spell and let the lady shave his pits and trim his nails. Wonderful experience. I was going to take him in today to get his nails trimmed but its sunday.

Amazing groomers! My dog is 15 years old and it is hard to find a place to get him groomed that I am comfortable with. I never feel that they will be mindful of his needs such as his weak back legs. I called this groomer and the owner took the time to talk to me on the phone for 20 minutes regarding Ringo and his needs. My husband brought Ringo in today and they were expecting him and made him feel very welcome. I believe it was Heather who groomed Ringo and this is the best haircut he has ever had; I am so happy with it! He literally looks like a puppy again; she did a great job trimming nails, cleaning ears etc and informed us of everything. I would highly recommend this groomer. Friendly staff, organized, clean, meticulous, greatly run and great owner!

Wow I took my cat Sterling here today and was very impressed. He’s very anxious and I was afraid that he wouldn’t do well, but the owner was great, and very fast (which is good because cats can only take so much of someone pestering them)! She gave my baby a sanitary trim, clipped his nails and shaved around his face. Sterling looks like a new cat! He looks so handsome. And I thought he would be frazzled and hide once I bought him back home. But instead, he was calm and in good spirits! I was so shocked, because in the past his grooming experience traumatized him. They must have taken very good care of him. We will definitely be regulars here!

I struggled for months trying to find a cat groomer in Metro-Detroit for my long hair domestic cat. Every groomer I called either did not groom cats or were booked up for months. THANKFULLY I found the kind and professional staff at Clawson Paws. They were able to get my grooming appointment scheduled in a timely manner and we’re incredibly helpful during the scheduling process. My cat now has a beautiful haircut!

Wonderful staff, very friendly and accommodating ! I bring my dog and cat here and have only had amazing expiriences. My dog is very anxious and they take the time to groom her and make her feel comfortable. I unfortunately wait too long most times and she is very matted when I end up going in and they send her home looking like a brand new dog! I also bring my cat here for his nails to be trimmed and bathing. He tends to not be very nice to others but has never had a problem with them! They do an amazing job and I love how accomidating they are! They always get my dog and cat looking perfect even if it’s on late notice. I would highly recommend them!!

Great groomers. I have a cat who really doesn't enjoy having her nails clipped, other groomers have tried and failed. I brought her here and I was finished 5 minutes later. Price was what you would expect for a cat trim. They even offered me a towel to carry her home in to help keep her calm. A+ service and I'll be back.

We took our dogs to Clawson Paws last week and they came down with Kennel cough. I called to let them know so they could take some extra cleaning precautions. However the owner interrupted and talked over me non stop.Per Akc.org, kennel cough is easily spread from dog to dog through aresol droplets, direct contact or contact with contaminated surfaces like dishes blankets and crates. Our pets have had no contact with any other dogs and we have a privacy fence. I just called to give them a heads up, I’m not sure why they were so nasty to me. I wasn’t even upset about it. Again I was just trying to give them a heads up so they could take extra precautions. We have been taking our pets there for almost 2 years. But after how the owner talked to me, our dogs will never be back. Take care

I called on Saturday morning and the owner fit me into her already full schedule, which I appreciated! She personally groomed my chihuahua corgi mix, combing his thick undercoat, trimming his nails and rear, and brushing his coat. She tied a cute bandana around his neck and when we picked him up, he smelled so good! Munch was a happy camper and we'll definitely come back again.

I can’t say enough GREAT things about Clawson Paws Pet Grooming! I was new to the area and had a hard time finding someone to groom my Persian kitty! I’m really particular about who takes care of her and Michelle exceeded all of my expectations! She was so patient with me and listened to every word. I got my baby back looking FIERCE. The cut was perfect and her coat looked the shiniest it’s ever been! I’m so impressed with how healthy my little kitty’s hair looks. 10/10 recommend and I’ll definitely be a life long customer.

They are "okay". They told me basically they can't cut my dog's nails anymore because he was "screaming". Even though I've brought him here before and there was zero issue before. They only told me how good he was. Groomers are supposed to be able to handle dogs that are upset... he's not aggressive or anything, he just whines when he doesn't like something, hes just a small puppy. If I had to guess I think they were rushing because I was told earlier in the day they were short staffed. I would of rather come on a day that they could have spent more time and care easing his anxiety with the nail trimming, especially during a pandemic where we are not allowed into the groomers. I really really miss my old groomers that closed and thought id give this new place a try but im thinking its not going to work out anymore. Per your request, I will take my business elsewhere.

Took my dogs in for a bath. I'm elderly and am having much difficulty with the task since they are large. The owner even requested to have a visual look at my dog for accurate pricing. I brought him in and was given a price. The next day I brought them in, provided all documents they required to be filled out, even provided a muzzle for 1 dog since was newly adopted and I wasn't sure how he bathes. I was told they had everything they needed and that they would call in about an hour when they were done. I was called within 10 minutes, said the one dog was barking too much and I had to come get him. They reassured me that he was clean and had received all services. However, after 2 or 3 days he developed a slight odor, which progressively got worse as the days progressed. I ended up giving him a bath in my bathrub to eliminate to offensive order. The other dog I was told bit one of the workers when she attempted to clip his nails..I belive the dogs received substandard service. The other dog was brushed out very well, I can give them that. All services should have totaled 130 dollard, however was charged 10 dollars exta even though all services were never rendered. When asked why the extra the girl said, that's how much it cost. Will never go back

Have gone here in the past with our current dog without issue. Their pricing is on the high side and I frequently found it difficult to get an appointment on the weekend. Their week hours are not practical for someone who works out of the area, so I have used other groomers. The times we have been able to get in, they did a great job and since my teenager was home, I called ahead and made arrangements for my teen to drop the dog and pick her up. Arranged in advance they would call me for payment. My daughter dropped the dog (they seemed confused that she was dropping) and fifteen minutes later I get a call that the dog is aggressive and they can't groom her. She is a big dog and I understand that can be frightening to some people. I asked if my daughter came back up and put a muzzle on her, would they then be able to groom her. They instantly said, "No!" I arranged for my daughter to come back and pick up the dog. When my daughter went back to get her out of the crate they had our dog in, our dog was not growling or aggressive. She made a dash to get out of there. My daughter put the leash on and walked her home. The people asked my daughter a number of questions insinuating the dog had left a previous groomer because the dog was aggressive. I do not appreciate those comments. The dog has been groomed many times by various groomers (including this one) and never had a problem. I do not know what has changed at this shop since the last time we came, but I will trust my pet's instincts of feeling threatened here now and take her somewhere else in the future.

We picked up our dog today from getting her nails trimmed and a hair trim. Once we get home we notice six of her nails are bleeding from being cut too short. There was no indication they did anything to stop the bleeding. Our dog was hiding once we were at home nursing her paws. They did a poor job on her trim. It was uneven and one side of her butt looks like it wasn't touched at all. I can understand a nail or two being cut too short but not six. That's just somebody not caring. We will never go here again.
