Jays is my favorite sporting good store. I go there every year even tho I live hours away to buy my hunting gear. Recently ran there to get a pocket knife get there and find it on Clarence for half off.. staff is amazing and recommended anyone to go shop or just tour there hundreds of mounts. It's amazing.

Surprised at the amount of assistance I received from a few of the guys working today. Very happy customer. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to get but they had the patience and perseverance to stay with me till the end and I'm picky and indecisive. I left a happy customer and got what I wanted along with some added fiahing knowledge I didn't have before going here. 2 time customer at this store. Will be going back.

Visited Michigan from Texas and wish we had a store more like this. Great selection and everything's priced very reasonably. Definitely recommend visiting if in the area.

My family and I have enjoyed and appreciated supporting this business for decades. They have definitely been our “go to place” for outdoor type activity purchases, even though it’s a trip to get there. In general the folks who are employed there are welcoming, pleasant and attentive to customers. Recently I observed quite the opposite in the female employees in the area behind the counter where they assist in purchasing guns. They seem to be having some workplace challenges between employees in this department that qualify as “a toxic work environment”. From my perspective, in a retail setting the comments, facial expressions, anger, passive-aggressiveness, and hurtful feelings can not be covered up or contained from affecting potential customers and the atmosphere of the whole establishment. Before my last few visits I would have rated Jay’s at least 5 stars.

This is an absolutely enormous sporting goods store! Hunting, camping, fishing-guns, guns what appears to be annsmmo tower. Bows, accessories, kayaks, shoes boots.While they do have a huge selection of everything outdoor, they’re also the only big sporting good store in the area. That being said, I think their prices tend to be mostly in line with other sporting goods stores & slightly higher on some merchandise.The store is very clean, I was asked several times if I was finding things ok. Easy to find your way around. From the outside, it’s easy to see from the road. The parking spots seem to be a bit snug for full sized vehicles.

Don helped me in the guns dept he was very knowledgeable and showed me several models. For me it all came down to the grip and the on that felt best. He is top notch!

They have dog carts! We used one. The staff kindly got it for us. Our dog loved it. So did everyone who saw him in it. And they have lots of nice clothes and holiday household goods.

Amazing place to stop for any of your hunting adventures needs or fishing, bbq smoking and lots more they have so much stuff I can't even say it all I love the gun Selections they offer also the camping gear is my favourite I always gear up here before I head out Customer service is excellent Going above and beyond to help you out.

The best place for all your outdoor needs. I stop in every time I head north to my in-laws in Boyne. I purchased a Smith and Wesson J frame a bit ago. The staff at the gun counter and archery department are very knowledgeable and helpful. Gun prices are a smig higher than other gun shops, however, you can't beat the vast selection and educated staff.

They don't like Canadians here. Just before the pandemic hit I brought in a deer hide from them to tan for me and I paylid in full up front. I never did get my hide. They straight up stole it from me. I will never bring my business to Jay's again!

Absolutely amazing experience! Brought in my bow just to have my site adjusted. Turns out everything was out of wack. He not only adjusted my site but also fixed my draw length and peep site. Huge shout out to Ted for your information, patience, and professionalism. Highly recommend, and I will be back for all my compound needs.

Great guy at ammo counter and found my pretty hard to get ammo fast. Bought a doe tag and the lady let me pay for ammo and tag. Easy peasy and parking was good pulling a trailer.

We decided to take a fall color drive, so we drove 3 hrs to come to the store only to be told our service dog had to go into a canine cart. The cashier said "no exceptions, those are the rules!" There are plenty of other sporting good stores that allow dogs. To bad, the store seems to offer lots of good items.

Jay's is a great place for your outdoors needs. Hunting and fishing supplies, guns and ammunition. They always have the new clothes and gear right when it comes out. But what they don't carry much of anymore are sports equipment. When I was in school they always had a huge selection of equipment for the current sports season, football, baseball, basketball and track. Now I have to go elsewhere for my kid's sports equipment.

First time to Jay's. We drove an hour and a half to try on Gregory and Opsrey backpacks because of the assortment, and they are supposed to have someone there that can help measure you, etc. to make sure you get the right pack. That was not the case. Not only were the packs all over the place, you had to dig through every peg to find the different sizes and packs. We tried on packs for over an hour and no one came to help or say hello. They only greeting we got was when we were leaving, at the door. We left without buying anything.
