Nearly $5 Cherry shake... Definitely not with real ice cream. I couldn't even drink it. The worse shake I have ever purchased. I won't go there again.

Stopped here on a whim after some polite conversation and some suggestions from a kind employee. Every one of the workers/owners seemed very personable down to earth and polite! While being a malt shop with great shakes as well Their burgers and steak sandwiches were a instant hit with crispy yet flaky onion rings and doggie sundaes for your furry friends this is a must for future trips to the area very please with our experience on a busy holiday weekend!

Only picture I got while eating inside but I’ve never had a bad experience while either in the showboat restaurant or the malt shop. The cottage cheese is one of my favorite side dishes at the showboat and highly recommended. The Malt shop is a great place to visit during the summer months and definitely the best place to visit in the small town of Chesaning. Give it a try if you’re ever in the area.

I give 0 stars! Absolutely horrible experience!! I will not be coming back. Not handicap accessible to get a wheelchair in their doors let alone anyone help you to get into their facility. It was about 90 degrees inside and I had to ask if they had any air conditioning! Having a special needs child who is wheelchair bound and who cannot sit in a 90 degree room, this was completely ridiculous. I asked if they had any air in there. The girl reluctantly grabbed a remote and pressed some buttons. Not only that, but the young kids running the place proceeded to tell us they couldn't cook any chicken and then started laughing. Needless to say we left without spending our hard earned money on a place like this so we left immediately! I will never come back here! Horrible customer service and they need to make it handicap accessible!

Worth the wait! Food is delicious and made fresh. Onion rings and fries are hit and crunchy. Great local business that serves a wide menu of fried foods, burgers, and about 20 choices for ice cream, shakes, malts, mixers and more.

These people...could there be any nicer folks??? I took a nasty tumble on their steps, my face hit the door and my glasses and lunch and face all took a major hit. These people helped me up, glued up my glasses, made me new lunch, and one of the owner's, Bob, walked me and my new lunch down the street to where I work. And by the way the nachos were very good. Go here, These are some of the good people.

Food is always amazing and is priced great. In my opinion the best burger in town! Staff are always friendly and eager to wait on you.. the ice cream selection is amazing . Not a bad thing to say about this place !

The best fries i have ever had. Continuous attention to quality food keeps me coming back well over a decade since i was a child! The burgers are juicy and big. Great ice cream selections and a friendly wait staff that bring food out are icing on the cake. Good decent prices. If you are ever in the area immediately go here for a bite or two. Its locally owned and has been around for decades a true landmark in this small town. My only gripe would be the fried chicken, as it can sometimes be a little too oily and chewy.

it's was a surprise find on our way to find a new fishing spot. We got 2 shakes and some fried green beans only cost $12. Shakes were pretty good with the big straws and green beans were fantastic and hit the spot.

Expensive for small portions of food, and I ordered bbq boneless wings and they gave me NO sauce : ) friend had a ginormous hair in burger also. strawberry shake was bomb tho. Come for ice cream not food

Had a “chef salad” this last Saturday. The only adjective I can think of is pathetic. The ice berg lettuce was crisp and fresh but the rest of the fixings were sorely lacking. No turkey, no hard boiled eggs, they used shredded deli ham that may have equaled .75 ounces. The cheeses were shredded like for tacos. The portion barely covered the paper plate, not piled on either. Then the dressing options were French or ranch. This was approx $7. What a rip. I pondered whether or not I would say anything and so I waited 3 days to see if I calmed down. Guess I haven’t because here is my posting. It was clean, my friends had breasted chicken and said it was OK, the fries were good.

Ordered a large blizzard. #1 it was about $7.00. #2 the cup was barely 1/2 full. I know I should have looked at the price 1st so my fault. But when it came out 1/2 full I was to mad to say anything. Plus the fact the kid at the window was less than talkative. Not rude but it was almost as if he was scared. This used to be a decent place.to get a quick lunch or dessert at a fair price. I don't know what has happened but I likely won't be back.

Ordered the steak and onion sub. They brought us out two wrong orders while we waited. The sandwich was on a four inch sub bun that was crushed in a tin foil wrapper. The bun was soggy from grease. It tasted as bad as it sounds. Ordered a large side of curly fries. I find it hard to believe what I got was large size. They tasted fine but are very over priced for what you get. I wouldn't waste your time going here for a meal.

I've been eating at the malt shop ever since I can remember. And my dad was eating there long before that. I love the food. The people are nice and for me it brings back memories of being a kid and taking our dog to the walk up window for a hot dog. I love the place.

Food is great, only downside is there is a service charge if you pay using a card. She did not notify me and there is no visible sign explaining this. The person did apologize for this. Also the bacon mushroom melt was a delicious cheesey mess!

My wife and I stopped in - our first time trying out this place - to get a couple of flurries. When we finally received our order, we found that the girls who made the flurries had shredded the Styrofoam cups but, instead of remaking them, just double-cupped them and served them to us full of chunks of the cup. We literally couldn't take a single bite without getting a mouthful of Styrofoam. Such complete disrespect for their customers will ensure that we never, ever go back.

For the last 6-7 times I've been there, they've screwed up my order. One time, they completely forgot my order.I've gotten stale chips for nachos and stale buns for burgers. I ordered a frozen lemonade once, and found burger meat in it.We got ice cream there, one person in my party ordered a chocolate cone dipped in chocolate. It's a simple order, and we've ordered it before, what the girl (who was obviously confused and didn't ask us to make sure) came up with was a hand scooped ice cream cone with hot fudge falling off of it.Needless to say we will not be going there again.

I really love the olive burgers here!! My kids enjoy coming here to get one of the many kinds of soft serve they have!! Great little place for our little town!!
