From extremely high prices to poor management of food. This place isn't somewhere I'm fond of. We have bought thing a few items from here to bring it back to find out it expired 1-2 years ago! Things cost 3 to 4 times as much as they would anywhere else. This place is the reason I can't stay in this area, it's to expensive to shop here on a monthly basis. you'd think with premium prices, their services would reflect that. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR EXPERATION DATES BEFORE YOU BUY FROM HERE! I've also got different brands of frozen pizzas from here and the pepperonis taste spoiled, their obviously not storing their food correctly or not in a timely manner. The only cool thing about their store is the kid carts, that's it!TLDR: Expensive, poorly handled food.

Been shopping here for about 5 years. And I have received a terrible attitude from the employees. If I wanted someone to be rude I would go to Walmart self check out and not deal with a person. And the prices are very highZ but I usually try to support local buisiness. Pintown, showboat, ace , blush, all of them really. And this is the rudest in town.

Went in right before closing to return bottles so I could buy diapers, they did not make me feel bad about it whatsoever. One of the workers actually helped me return the bottles in a very polite manner. The whole staff was full of smiles and seemed happy and polite.

3 Stars not because the store isn't well stocked, clean, and an easy to find location. But, the check out employees just grind me....so 3 stars for my local supermarket.*Update* the check out peeps are getting better. Adding one more 🌟

Good selection, pricier items but that's usual for a small town grocery store. Has almost everything you need. The bakery/deli section is my favorite, their food is awesome! Their employees are usually nice and friendly and helpful. Large liquor and beer section too, which is always a plus!

As good as can possibly be for a small town grocery store. Clean store, very nice staff, great liquor section, bakery and deli. I try to always get my grocery shopping done here. Great meat dept too. Bonus is that they also give back to our community too. You just can't get this from any big box store. I love our Frank's Market.

Everything was easy to find and decently priced for small town shopping... The cashiere was definitely enough to bring me back. Thanks to Haley for being cheerful and pleasant, attractive and good 30 second conversation. Would definitely recommend anyone in the area to go here and I will for sure be returning for all of my quick shopping needs.

Most part people were pleasant however at least 3 employees were not wearing mask which indicates to me their overall concern for well being of the community isn't very high. These folks touch the products and should be held to a high standard.

Look up at the ceiling tiles and you think you're in a poor run down ghetto store. The layout, equipment, and overall appearances looks like you took a step back to the 70s/80s. I would think being the only store in the town they would take better pride in appearance. It looks like the only thing they care about in the store is the liquor shelves.

A very nice store! Fresh food meat/deli with a very large selection of lunch meats etc. almost any type of salad you can think of spaghetti salad, potato salads just a couple examples. They also have food already made right their if your in a rush for example fried or baked chicken and much more, if you needed food already made and ready to eat when you get home or on the road w/ no cooking involved!! From my perspective and anyone that lives in Chesaning I talk to they thrive on how fresh the food is and how well the store is taken care of, other words the store is very clean!! The only con is that idk if Frank's knows there the only store for a good 20 miles or more, but most things are priced higher than anywhere else I've seen atleast in a 30-40 mile radius.

Nice little local store. It is very clean. Small frozen food section but totally not a big deal because they have a great bakery with lots of muffins :)

Nice country style little grocery store. You could always call this place a Ma and Pa type store, but it feels just a little too franchised for that. Nice store, prices are a little high

Nice store but prices are way to high.. For what you pay there you could get (2) at walmarts or Meijers..for there price. To bad would like too support our home town but can only get sale items & may as well get the stuff when running to Owosso..

One should always shop local. Support ur community. Frank's prices are a little more expensive than say, Walmart, but I'll save more in gas as I'd have to drive to Owosso....... jus sayin

Overpriced for what you can buy elsewhere. Everything in the store costs much more added up compared to aldis, meijers, and walmart. Youd save more even with the gas it would take to drive to owosso for the bigger stores. Other than that the employees are fast but the baggers need more training. They will stack food on top of produce and breads all the time.

Frank's is my hometown grocery store . They try to carry a good selection of most items you would find at the superstores, but on a smaller scale for a fair price. Whether you're just traveling through Or you live here year-round Frank's should have what you need.

It's nice a good place to shop The variety of items offered has increased over the years however I question that they have their employees work for the entire day on the 4th of July which is a national holiday in itself and of course there are still many items that end up being cheaper even without being advertised or requiring a coupon. For people that live around here they know that it's only takes about 10 to 12 minutes to get to Meijer from Chesaning; you only need to take state Road where the Lions Club used to be to do all of your grocery shopping and they have everything. Frank's needs to compete more on some of the things that we need more often like milk, liquid coffee creamer, cottage cheese, sour cream, individually wrapped sliced cheese and don't even get me started on canned food items all one needs to do is stop at any one of two of the local dollar stores. Considering that there are two national chain dollar stores like Family Dollar and Dollar General that are both within three quarters of a mile of Frank's Supermarket which for example which will sell brand loaves of bread starting at $0.99.This includes hamburger and hotdog buns too. I could name many other things that are at a higher price point than Frank and even when we talk about non-food items like paper towels toilet paper napkins and I would go as far as to say things like light bulbs dog and cat food and even little small house appliances and gadgets and utensils that you would use in your kitchen for the preparation of food. If you've never been to a dollar store I know and would guarantee that you would not be dissatisfied to check them out at least once. And I like most people are the kind of Shopper that would stop and look at the circulars or the weekly advertisements for all three stores and do my shopping according to that. And the last thing I have to mention which many many of us by and enjoy getting every week is our favorite pop or soda many times over you can find one liter and two liter bottles of Coke and Pepsi products along with even 7-Up products for a dollar or a or a 1.29. Lastly if you need home and Health Care items such as over-the-counter products such as aspirin and all the things that go in those categories including vitamin supplements and all of the different ailments we might have 4 things that don't require a prescription by far you're going to find those items less expensive as well by visiting either Dollar Store that being Family Dollar or Dollar General my last comment pertaining to those stores is I would say if you're looking more for food items meeting anywhere from snacks to canned items two enough types of food to prepare any number of complete meals I would check out Dollar General first but both of them are worth checking out for example and this will be my last example a full court size liquid coffee creamer that would be 3 to $4 or more at Frank's Supermarket will be a dollar 49 at Dollar General that's less than half the price in most cases so if that is any indication on the kinds of money you can save take the extra couple of minutes and check out these two stores in Chesaning which haven't been around for as many years as you would actually think and perhaps over time more people going to the stores will make it financially in the best interest of Frank's to lower or at least compete with some of those prices you would think that perhaps that grocery store lives in its own bubble and doesn't compete or care about prices at other stores.

Prices are outrageous, food is usually on the brink of expiring, and poor selection! They charge top prices for generic brands! Deli and hot food is great! Convenient!
