Pharmacy at this CVS is horrible. My wife received a text saying med was ready to get picked up. We were out of town, and 5 days later, we got back to pick it up, and they said it was not there. My wife showed them the text, stating it was ready. They had no explanation of what happened to her shots. This is the 2nd time running into this issue, we get a text show up before the alloted time (14 days), and it's not there anymore. They never have any explanation, except they can sell this shot for $1100 if it's for weight loss instead of the insurance amount. I would never recommend this pharmacy if I could give it 0 stars I would.

I admit I am a little disgruntled at the moment. I had rhino enterovirus On the 8th of December after a flight home from California, followed by a UTI on the 10th of December and I had trouble with the Pharmacy filling my prescription through my VA medical. They tried to tell me my antibiotic wouldn’t be covered. Whoever was working though at least listen as I explained that the paperwork I gave them, had a number to call the VA who would authorize the med to be filled. It was a rough bump but it got through and I got my med. Then for Christmas my husband got Covid and gave it to me and I got sick the night of the 27th and spent the 28th at the ER. Then the 29th the uti came back with a vengeance and here we are at this CVS again. The one difference is the staff is NOT using good customer service. Perhaps they have never heard that you should listen to the customer which means you have to STOP talking in order to hear. I just need you to call the number on the sheet of paper I gave you! They will give you the authorization. Hello….stop telling me I am discontinued in the VA because I KNOW I AM NOT! I am a 100% service connected Veteran with 21 years of service and If you just stop talk and listen you can still keep my patronage because my VA care IS NOT DISCONTINUED! After they finally listen to me and called, CVS staff was able to discover my VA CARE WAS NOT DISCONTINUED! The VA was able to let the CVS know that the Urgent care was supposed to go in and get the authorization for the medication s they were prescribing. So the morals of this story are Listen to your patient or customer because they might have the answer you need…and you might learn something. And treat someone like they’re your mother or grandmother.

My son was in need of a prescription. It was called in the morning and by the afternoon it was still not available. When I went to pick it up, they told me it was out of stock and offered no options to help any further. No one contacted me to let me know it was out of stock. The customer service was not helpful. I understand that they are probably overwhelmed, but not being of more assistance to your customers in a time of urgency, was very saddening. We'll be moving our prescriptions immediately.

I've gone to CVS all my life but three months in a row now they've been out of my medication. Each time they're out they tell me when my meds will be back in stock, then I call and CVS assures me that yes they have them now. Then I go there in person, which is not easy for me, and then I'm told "oops they're all out after all". This forces me to try to scramble to get my meds from another pharmacy while being completely out. I don't know if they intentionally lie over the phone or if the employees just don't care, but after the third month in a row of this I won't be using their pharmacy again.

If been a customer of CVS my whole adult life. It is time for me to switch. I was treated extremely unprofessional tonight at the late shift at CVS. Basic customer treatment missing. Very rude and even angry. Looks like he had a really bad day, don't let it out on customer that great you nice. Will not go back.

The doctors called my prescription in 30 minutes before I arrived. I arrived 30 minutes BEFORE their lunch, so I was told I had to come back in a hour and half after lunch was over. I came back to pick up my prescription and they did not use my insurance, they told me it would be another 30 minutes. I usually use my small town pharmacy in Dexter with great service. Thought since CVS was close to the hospital I would give it a try. I learned my lesson.

I'm surprised by all these negative reviews, particularly about the pharmacy. Apart from a couple of occasions where I was served by someone new, I have only ever received friendly & professional service. Mark & Patrick have kept that pharmacy going though COVID shutdown & thereafter. For that they deserve a huge bonus.Yes, there are times when they are short staffed but other stores have the same issues. Everyone needs to have some patience & more tolerance.

I understand things get hectic when people are waiting in line and you are "understaffed". Everyone there heard that excuse many times that day. There were 3 associates in the pharmacy both times I visited while attempting to pick up a simple prescription, several hours apart. Regardless of your staffing issues, that is no reason to treat your customers rudely and make them wait solely for the purpose of inconveniencing them. Your staff could use some training in professionalism and customer service. There are other pharmacies in town that I am sure will appreciate my business.

Never go here , they had a medication I needed today, and they said it would take 3 days to call the pharmacy next door to transfer the script . They informed me they are so understaffed that they don’t have 3 min to call my pharmacy ( my pharmacy was expecting there call). Unexceptionable

Never ever use any CVS they are unprofessional and don't ever have the meds you need. They say they will transfer to another CVS and when you drive hours to pick up a med they never actually transferred

Worst customer service ever! Was in twice for a prescription, was given a pick up time and also had to leave my insurance card to “speed thing up” and upon returning half the prescription was still not ready. Wasn’t even told had to pull away and come back because I wasn’t even warned they didn’t fill everything! 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND wasting your time with cvs! Chelsea pharmacy is the only place I will go from her on out…

Says there short staffed but there’s 6 ppl behind the counter. Had multiple problems with insurance on cvs end. After fixing it multiple times and then being told it was a dosage problem I just paid cash and will be taking my business to another pharmacy in town. Good luck to those who choose to use this location it’s a circus and I suggest management sends them back to customer service school.

It's pretty much like most CVS but a lot more busier due to its location. The store is always clean and well stocked and the staff is friendly. The pharmacy employees are very nice and Ali did a great job giving me my vacinne, which they had in stock while most pharmacies within a half hour area did not.I recommend this CVS

First off this CVS is BUSY. Chelsea really needs another pharmacy like Walgreens to offset the insanity of this store. I've always had good interactions with the pharmacy. They are nice and helpful. Other than that it's absolutely chaotic. My photo order is always wrong. They are always out of stuff. Staff is super grumpy. Understaffed and underpaid, I get it. They get yelled at by old people a lot I'm sure. Butttttt I would avoid this place like the plague if you can.

As a medical provider, I can tell you this is the most infuriating pharmacy to work with. The amount of times I've tried to speak with a pharmacist and left on hold for more than 10 minutes is unacceptable. When I leave a voice-mail attempting to call in a prescription, more than half the time I get contacted by the patiet saying the pharmacy never recieved the prescription. Not only is this unprofessional, it results in a delay in care. I always recommend other pharmacies to my patients.

Had a similar experience with another reviewer in that one of the pharmacy personnel said she would not scan two other items in addition to the prescription I was there to pick up. Rationale was that they were 30 seconds from lunch and phones were ringing off the hook. This was after they failed to communicate that they did not have the dosage that was prescribed by our pediatrician. Thankfully, one of the other pharmacy employees took care of the checkout process and had me on my way.

Very frustrated. Needed a prescription & the price doubled. My husband was there to pick up & verified they had my discount card on file to hopefully explain the price difference. They said yes. He didn’t pay as something seemed very wrong with the price. I call & the lady who picked up confirmed my discount card expired even though they earlier said it was active. I asked if I could give the new number to them over the phone as we live in another town & I’ll have my husband circle back as he just left there. She explained she could not she was very short staffed & behind but I reminded her they made the error & she could have literally written it down in a few seconds. I told her I’ve been a loyal customer for years (36 mind you) & she hung up on me. Happy Holidays

I've been coming to this CVS my entire life. I always have a great experience. The staff is always nice and polite. It's always nice to go in and be remembered. Right now their staff is low so know that everyday from 1:30-2 they are closed so their staff can have a break. I think it's awesome that they care about their staff enough to close for 30 minutes a day.

CVA Chelsea. I was next in line. The cashier (the only employee there wearing a Covid mask) if you could call her that, in an intentionally rude manner, basically just shoved a register closed sign in my face, then turned her back on me and walked away without saying a word or saying she was closed and I needed to go to the next register. I have to reiterate again the extreme rudeness of her manner was completely uncalled for, as if she had some kind of personal vendetta against me for being a customer in line. I have many year’s experience in management, and if I was thw manager in charge and saw her extreme rudeness towards a customer like that, it would be at the least three days off and possibly a review of her job status. I felt fortunate she didn’t go as far as to hit me with the register closed sign the way she was acting. CVS definitely needs to look into their customer service training.

I tried to have a perscription filled at this location several times on 4/29/23 starting at around 12:30pm.Every time I went to go pick it up it wasn't available.Even though my Neurologist sent it in a couple of different ways. On one occasion I could hear someone from my Neurologist talkimg to CVS. After several different attempts to pick it up. I decided I'd try the next day.An hour or so later I get a phone call from CVS informing me that that it was being worked on and would be ready at 7 o'clock.A few minutes later at 5:34pmI received another message saying it was ready & to pic it up.I drove there once again and the same thing, no perscription. I offered to play back the messages and the pharmacist it didn't matter what thier voice mail said.I got a little upset and was asked to leave or they would call the police.

Terribly slow! The script was sent over at 9AM. After work I waited in a 20 minute, 5 car line outside, I was told it wasn't ready. "Give us 15 minutes". After 30 more minutes inside, I had to inquire about the status before I was given the script. It was sitting on the counter, filled. This is why I switched to Chelsea Care Pharmacy in the first place. For some reason, IHA decided to send it here. Ugh!!!

I have dealt with this pharmacy for two years for two elderly parentsCommunication with them is terrible. They have lost records of prescriptions since June 26 and today is July 19. I have been waiting for 5 prescriptions confirmed to my doctors office only three are filled and now they tell me a record of the fourth. My doctors office has their confirmation of receipt.

I have never met a more rude and unhelpful staff while talking on the phone. I asked about a medication of mine that wasn't in, and whether or not it was available at other locations. She replied and said that I would have to call around to the other locations because she could not see what their inventories were (Not true, I have had them do it for me while I was in St. Paul before) because they were narcotics. So I asked, if I found another location whether or not if I could even pick the meds up there, and she said that she would not be able to transfer the script. So then I asked her why I should call around to other locations and waste me time. And the she said, "Is that all? Bye." CLICK.And this is not an isolated event. If you live in Chelsea and want a great pharmacy, go talk to Joe and James at Country Market Pharmacy inside of Polly's.

For my own physical safety, and sanity, I had to take the CVS pharmacy managers advice and take my business elsewhere. As an RN of 23 years myself, I have an idea of the standards of practice necessary for a healthcare institution. These high standards are absolutely necessary to assure public safety first, PERIOD.Nothing is more important.CVS, however, has exceeded my worst expectations. My Story:I recently had to switch pharmacies. I decided to switch to CVS Pharmacy for it's convenient locations. It did not take long and my faith in CVS Pharmacy completely eroded. The most unacceptable instances were when two different CVS pharmacists, at two different locations, provided me with FOUR TIMES the amount of opiate medication that my doctor normally prescribes. When I approached the pharmacy manager about the mistake, I was met immediately with major defensive behavior. The manager claimed that my doctor "definitely ordered it that way".I knew that the chances that my psychiatrist, also a university professor, who has been prescribing me the same medication and dose for years, made the mistake were minimal. I also knew that the chances of a busy pharmacist, who has never dispensed for me, having made the mistake were much higher. This conversation, that I intended to problem solve and correct the issue, turned into a confrontation, and that made me very upset. The seriousness of the situation could not have been greater. If it were someone other than myself (a nurse trained to pay attention to detail) the consequences could have easily turned fatal by opiate overdose.Unfortunately, the above situation was just one of a few other errors and unprofessional attitudes that I experienced with CVS pharmacy, over a short period of time.Errors such as:A. Being given medication in the wrong form than usual.B. CVS pharmacy staff refusing to follow up with my insurance provider, or physician, when the information they had was obviously wrong, and required confirmation or correction. I was once told to "contact them yourself", which served no purpose because I cannot legally take an order for myself!I could go on, but I just left. Stopping short of reporting these grave patient safety issues to the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), which could immediately open an investigation of CVS Pharmacy, having the power to close them down in order to prevent serious harm to the community.I hope that this review serves the purposes of informing CVS Pharmacy customers to be very careful and critical when using this pharmacy chain, and informs CVS Pharmacy management itself to immediately re-evaluate their dispensing procedures, and train their staff in proper communication techniques designed to serve the customers best interest, and to de-escalate conflict, instead of feeding it.

Awful customer service, pharmacy opened at 8a, I arrived at 8:06a - apparently that was too early because the pharmacy technicians didn't acknowledge me until almost 8:20a. I received a notification stating that my rx was ready online but when I got to the counter the rude tech informed me it was still pending. I will be switching pharmacies, CVS chelsea is the worst

Walked in to get a flu shot and to make reparations with a failed passport photo taken at Chelsea CVS. The experience at the pharmacy was delightful. Easy in and easy out. The passport fix was complicated. Let's just say without the help of the manager...I had my picture taken 20 more times with zero success. Despite the manager telling me she couldn't refund me for the passport photo the lovely lady trying to help did give me a refund. Manager stated I needed the receipt...even though the envelope in which I was provided with my original September 2021 photos taken at the Chelsea CVS had all of the data necessary to provide non manager my refund. So I walked out with a flu shot, a refund for the photos, no refund for my failed postal expense and a loss of 45 minutes of my time. The best part was that the manager went to complain to a teenage cashier about her interaction with me.So I headed to a west Ann Arbor location to get another passport photo. I went to the cashier where there was a sign indicating that they had a passport photo service only to find out that they don't due to their camera being broke! So his recommendation was to go to another CVS location.Hmmm

Went to go fill two different medications today on 03-31-2021 and I was quickly informed that one of the prescriptions I had was not valid and I told him that it was indeed valid as I just got it today from my dentist and that I have filled a similar prescription like this before at the SAME location. He proceeded to tell me that it was illegal if someone had in fact filled it due to how it was written he said. I told him that what he was saying was false and I left after being told HE will NOT fill it. I went to another pharmacy who was willing to help and they were not able to help due to not having the medication in stock. I then went to one more pharmacy which was a CVS but at a different location (Over 45 Minutes away.) I asked to speak to a supervisor to ensure I could fill it. I was told there was absolutely NO problem filling it. So, I finally got what I needed after driving around for hours. Your CVS location in Chelsea is by far one of the worst. Whoever the younger guy is with tattoos that was working today needs to simply be fired for refusing to do his job and having absolutely NO IDEA what he was talking about. Worst experience ever. I will be placing a call tomorrow to talk to someone in charge. Did you guys just randomly hire him of the streets or what?

Worst Pharmacy around. They will receive your prescription but not contact if they don’t have it or if it has been denied. So when you show up they just say sorry we can’t fill it. Send your prescriptions to any other pharmacy.
