Dunham's does not care about their customers or their employees at all. Waited 25 minutes to look at a couple guns and when the lady finally came she says "not right now I'm too busy" I guess they don't want my money very bad. Not impressed.

No one offered any assistance, not even a hello. Nothing…The store is cluttered and the displays are not out (boots).Finally found what I was looking for. Checked out and the man ringing me up didn’t check my boots or ask if I found everything. Customer service zero @ this location. 😔

There is no fitting room here! You know that sometimes clothing looks better on the hanger than on a real person even when it's the right size. Of course, you can return what you don't want but its very inconvenient and wastes your gas and time and impossible if you are just passing through town on vacation.I can order online and return if I want that experience. .If you like trying on clothing before you buy, dont go here!

Went in bought a knee brace for almost 70 dollars got home and it did not fit went back and wanted to exchange and was told no go without receipt. Was pretty much dismissed after being told. Said that employee that waited on me was still there. They said they could not go on word of employees. Don’t trust your employees? Went out found said receipt. Got refund. Not going back.

Great little sporting good store. They didn't have exactly what I needed to scare away mosquitoes, but they have an excellent selection of all kinds of gear here. We found some great stuff for the camper. The staff is really friendly, helpful and very nice. This store has the feel of the small town hardware store, where you are greeted on the way in and helped the while time you are there. Definitely stop in to find what you need.

Dude Alex for guns us someone who shouldn't be in guns, told me last time didn't look like I could afford a $1000 gun, which he was proven wrong, this time I asked about Hellcat which he told me were not hellcat mags, till I pushed the issue which he seemed a little frustrated with, then after picking up the mags it was once again confirmed he was wrong, and they were in fact hellcat mags, you should get someone who is more personable, and customer oriented and not quick to jump to conclusions. Unfortunately I think this will be the last time I shop here frustrated once again with the experience, it's to bad it's a local store.

They are fairly priced I suppose but they need better educated personnel. My wife went in to buy some 357 magnum ammo for my new gun. The person behind the counter said they have 1 box of 357 left at $53. My wife explained that I have a s&w .357 model 586 that takes 357 magnum or .38 special. The guy behind the counter GUARANTEED the 357 SIG ammo would work in my revolver. So she bought it.I looked at the ammo when I got home and realized it was SIG and not magnum. Wouldn't work. When I went in to return it the cashier stated their policy is to not take back ammo and informed me that if I can't use it, I should sell it online. Its prohibited from selling firearms or ammo online. So now I have a $53 paperweight.

So I live locally and have appreciation and compassion for the people who work in the businesses. My husband and I were checking out and there were three bottles of hand sanitizer on the counter, and I used the one that had a pump (the other two were sprays) and the cashier said, “that ones not for you.”. Surprised by the response, I immediately apologized, and then she said, “you’re the third person who’s done it today.” Like ummmm maybe you should move it then?! I just thought it was rude and unnecessary. I realize everyone’s fuse is short, but it was poor customer service in a time when we all should be a bit more understanding of our new reality.

The answer I got to the question I asked I felt as if I was annoying the worker. I just wanted to know if a store could ship an item from one of their other stores to the Cheboygan store and the guy flat out said no. And was slightly rude about it.

Had to get a fishing license and the ladies here were awesome. As well, we looked around the store to waste a little time and they have everything a sporting guy needs. 👍🏼

A typical Dunham's Sports Store. Has all of the things you need and want. This store offers great up North service. Ed. Justin and all of the staff assist you with all of your needs. Hunting licenses, shells, fishing licenses, fishing gear, camping equipment, and of course all of the apparel you forgot or need on your visit to Cheboygan.

Cashier with no mask and a serious cough proceeded to do so for quite some time into her HAND. She made no effort to clean or sanitize her hands or work surface afterwards. I stepped into the line with a different cashier. She said, "I can help you here". When I explained why I didn't want her checking me out she said, "It's just a smoker's cough". I said, "No thank you and you shouldn't be coughing into your HAND then checking people out afterwards. She rolled her eyes, got out hand sanitizer and used it. The other cashier and a woman who was working at another counter overheard the entire exchange and neither would acknowledge that they heard or saw our exchange. In fact I could get no eye contact from them afterwards, they looked down or away whenever I made the attempt. Pretty scary, especially with a deadly contagious virus prevalent in our country right now.

I entered the store and went for the kayak section to look at ores and I was approached by an employee and asked to remove my bag and check it at the front I thought this was very odd as I seen women in the store wearing purses and I was told that some kids came in and stole shoes so I was being accused of possible theft I did not appreciate that and I was not offered any help to find any items in the interaction

Nice store, staff was very helpful, and friemdly, only downside was very few choices in size. Needed mens XL or XXL, Next to nothing. Needs it's own store, cramped there is so much inside to look at!

Dunhams is one of my favorite sports stores in Northern Michigan. From sports, hunting & fishing, weights they have everything. And at reasonable prices. Highly recommended

Good sports store, excellent variety. They even have a go kart!!! Store is a bit over-crowded, prices a re a little high.
