We were from out of town and needed something to weigh our art panels down for the art show that was the following morning. We showed up at 6:58 pm, not knowing they closed at 7 pm. They never rushed us, the manager of the store came over and listened to our problem, directed us to a few options, and then even carried the sand bag to the car for us. Everyone was kind and patient, never once seeming irritated that we came in right at closing. Thank you for the incredible customer service.

You need it they got it and advice to repair it. I think they have more employees than a massive home depot. And they want to actually help you fix your problem, not just sell you an item. Multiple employees helped me find a very specific tool and made sure it fit before purchase. Great shop I actually look forward to going to.

Very helpful and accommodating staffUpdate 08/23/23 - after a long and tiring week, the staff could tell that I was worn down and not my usual self. The staff noticed and attempted to raise my spirits through upbeat and jovial conversation and friendly banter. One staff member named Hunter, even stuck a 9 volt battery to his lip piercings in attempt to brighten my mood. I left the store in a much better mood thanks to the kind and devoted staff...and thanks to the effects of a simple 9 volt battery.

Great customer service. We were camping nearby and needed a part for our camper just before closing. Not sure of the name of the guy I talked to but he offered to let me stop by 10 mins after closing to pick up the part I needed.

I mainly shop ACE hardward wherever I am and was vacationing in Charlevoix so I Placed online order with this location. Said it was in stock and available for pickup. Got the email saying it was ready, BUT when I arrived, they said they might have it, but it's in the back somewhere waiting to be unpacked. Told me they would locate it within an hour and call me. 3 hours later, they called and said it couldn't be unpacked. Happy to give me a refund... No joke! Get it together Charlevoix ACE.

Ace Hardware in Charlevoix is a great, organized store. Everyone who works there is so friendly and very helpful. Mike recently helped my husband and I regarding a part for our grill. We are so grateful and we highly recommend their store.

Iv been going to this Ace for years and after dealing with this older guy with a ponytail today I won't be going back. Rude, unhelpful attitude.Mr ponytail guy if you don't like working around people and can't be polite go find a different job maybe like at a junkyard or cleaning porta johns or something.I can go to homedepot and get no help but at least they are polite.

Great place filled with service oriented people. They have just about everything you could need, even lumber! Some things are a little pricy (especially the lumber) when compared to the big box stores, but the staff is always very friendly and can help you find what you are looking for! i love our local ace!

Great store, with great selection - pretty much anything you will need. The staff is there offering help within a minute of you walking in the store. I have to give a special shout out to Mike who took time to help me find the faucet fitting I needed even though it was at closing time. They always go the extra mile to help!

Not very happy with my recent experience here. I had to make some emergency safety critical trailer repairs while on a fishing trip so I thought that I could come to Ace and the people there would be helpful. They were not very helpful and were in fact quite rude. The staff I asked for help just told me what aisle to go to (3 times it was the wrong aisle) except for one gentleman in the fastener aisle who actually helped me but he quickly disappeared after I told him I needed to buy more stuff.A different gentleman recommended that I try a hacksaw to cut through several 1/2” steel sections when I was looking for an angle grinder. He said he did it all the time. I seriously doubt that was the case. This same gentleman after I had gathered $600 of items to purchase asked me “if he could help me find any more stuff I didn’t need”. His boss was also very rude and refused to help me at all.I had to make the trailer repairs in the parking lot to ensure that I had access to additional hardware if needed. Almost all of the staff came outside to help other customers while I was toiling away on the trailer for the next hour or so in the rain. None of them offered me any help or asked how it was going except for the young kid who was a actually a nice guy.The older gentlemen on staff just looked away to avoid eye contact when they walked by (ace is the helpful place right?). I didn’t need any help making the repairs but if your slogan is “the helpful place” maybe offer just to be nice?The unhelpful manager rolled down his window to yell at me from his car on his way home for the day while I was frantically working to repair my trailer. He said “I know you just bought $600 dollars worth of hardware and tools from my store, but make sure you don’t leave any of it in the parking lot or people will get flat tires. Ace is the helpful place right? There was no mess at any point nor did I put a single piece of hardware on the ground at any point.

One of everything you might need. This ACE has bailed me out many times as o have done projects. From tools and blades to concrete blocks, piping and electrical, they have it. Prices might not be the lowest but their service, knowledge and product variety is outstanding. You will spend any difference in price on gas going out of town. Great hardware store.

I've been shopping at my local ACE for years and have spent alot of money there despite having cheaper alternatives. On this day I was treated like a homeless bum or something worse. I explained to several store employees that I needed to compare different items so I could budget what I could buy then or wait until I had more funds. There was always someone coming up to me or watching me from a distance. Finally an employee came up to me telling me I couldn't write down prices from the store. I was about to pick out a respirator and had an appliance bulb that I needed and was ready to purchase. I kept this item in plain view at all times. Why was I treated this way? I will never stop at your store again. I have receipts from purchases going back some years and they total up to over two thousand dollars.

On a very busy day they went out of their way to help me find an item from the warehouse. Loaded the mower in my car and smiled all the time. Best service in the north. And the price was less than four other places including the box stores.

Note we delete all bad reviews this place sucks. rented a log splitter one time and bearings were bad told to haul it to house anyway. told them it won"t make it and went to family farm and home to repair on side of road .Then they tryed to charge me for 24 hr rental because I had to repair their equipment. Be all you can be a lifetime loser at ace hardware.
