We have been going to Countryside Vet with our dogs and cats for 8 years. The small animal veterinarians were always wonderful, compassionate, and always gave their time to answer all questions for clients. The new vet, Dr. Davidson is outstanding. The staff are great! I cannot say anything positive about the owners after I got a rude phone call from one of them scolding me about keeping the small animal vet on the phone too long. He reminded me that they were a business, and time is money. My time on the phone cost them money. Not once did he show any understanding or compassion. He billed me for the call, informing me that it was a Consultation. He never told me that I would receive a bill. Nor was I told how much the consultation fee would be. Needless to say, I was surprised and shocked when I got the bill. The only reason I go back to Countryside is because of the staff and Dr, Davidson's compassion and care.

We have been going to countryside for the last six years. We have seen quite a few different veterinarians here and I think with Covid things just got a little hectic but the care we received was always wonderful. Currently we have been seeing Dr. Davidson and I have only good things to say about his care. We recently had to put down our baby of 12 years and he and the staff were incredibly compassionate with us and gave us a truly peaceful goodbye to our girl. You can really tell that they care about your pets and it isn’t just a job to them. We have had a very tough year with our pets health and I trust Countryside to give my babies the best care. Highly recommend

I am very displeased with the vet. I called right before my appointment to make sure that I was only paying for what I was told. I get to check out and I was told I would have to pay a tech visit every time I go to the vet. I told them I couldn't afford 300$ all at once but I also was not aware if I spread out the payments I would have to pay an extra 50-70$ for seeing the tech each time. I was not told I would have to pay each time. I was also told since I was going back so much I would not have to pay it. Next timeI will have to record all conversations. Also when I was checking out the guy with blond hair looked at me and smiled and kinda laughed at me. It was pretty rude. He told me I just told you over the phone that you would have to pay that. I was not told that over the phone. Also the red head girl at the desk is always rude as well. Allison is always nice, but should have been more clear to me about the price. I was only aware that I would be charged for shots. I also spoke with the owner. They both continued to tell me I had to pay the tech visit arguing with me and telling me pretty much the same thing over again. I finally had it and paid it. I won't be going back. the owner also told he appreciated my review also rude what kind of business owner is happy about bad reviews.

Dr Davidson and the entire staff were great when we had to recently put our chocolate lab Denny, down due to a injury he sustained. The whole team showed so much compassion to us and our pet. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They always take care of my animals and make sure I am well-informed of what is going on and what my animals need. They will give my dog his shots when they come out to my farm for my farm animals. They are good about contacting me the day of my scheduled farm appointment to let me know when they are heading my way and about what time they will arrive so I'm not out at the barn waiting for hours. They are pricey and I have had a billing question or two that needed clarification. I'm also not crazy about them taking my dog into the back for his work.

I wish I could give ten stars! Dr. Simkins was wonderful with my draft horse Rayne. My horse was very comfortable with her and she was so kind and reassuring. It was a wonderful experience for us, I knew we were in excellent hands.

Was referred to this facility because my regular veterinarian was on vacation, this place hands down treated myself and pet as if we were long time clients. They spent over 2 hours on my dog all staff attentive, caring and supportive of what my dog had experienced. Had X-rays done and had a few possible diagnosis. Left with meds and referral to a neurologist. I would highly recommend Countryside Veterinary to anyone in need of a great reliable team!

Dr. Simpkins came out for our first farm call for our two goats. She was very personable, knowledgeable, professional and answered all our questions. The cost was really reasonable for coming out to our home. I'm so glad we chose Countryside!

First visit here to get a second opinion on some issues with my fur baby. They were recommended by a friend. We had a very pleasant experience. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The place was clean inside and out. Wasn't crowded. What got my attention most about my visit was the attention from the tech and the doctors taking the extra time to fully answer my questions and concerns and allow me to understand what could be going on with my canine. Showing love and care towards my canine is also a plus. With that being said, I will most likely make this my primary veterinarian service from this visit forward.Have a blessed day

I think most people think if Vets as hard core animal lovers, and these folks seem to take it to the next level! We visited to get our lamb's leg checked out and the Tech's spent the whole time loving on him and giving him scratches while he was getting casted up.It sounded like they are near capacity on clientele, but I would still recommend this clinic to everyone!

I am always extremely satisfied with the level of attention & care given at countryside. The staff showed great attention to any concerns I voiced, treated myself & Apollo with respect, & had fantastic bedside manner with Apollo. I did not feel the staff was trying to rush us out & made sure all questions were answered. Apollo had records from his old vet faxed over & it was clear the staff reviewed them & was keenly aware of his history. While the appointment did not result in good news, I left feeling that Apollo was in the best hands possible for his care. The follow-up call I received the next day was a pleasant surprise & allowed me to ask questions I thought of following the appointment. I will always recommend countyside!

Kept calling at 7:30am on the second that the phones became open and every single time for around 5 days straight (Wednesday, Tuesday, Monday, the Friday and Wednesday before) and they would say the appointment had been taken even though there is absolutely no way anyone beat me to being the first call because I would call multiple times from when the answering machine picked up at 7:30 (saying they were open from 7:30 to 5pm) to the time I would finally get through to an actual person after redialing multiple times in a row. Got to the point I don't actually think anyone called before me, but instead I truely believe they were saying so to get out of an extra appointment that day.Called a different vet in Chelsea and got an appointment for the next day within 15 minutes with much kinder and more caring reception. Definitely taking my animals there from now on, and I would definitely suggest to anyone that they read all the negative reviews for this place before they book their appointments and consider making an appointment elsewhere.

Always on time or early, professional and friendly. Our horses remain calm well being worked on. The Dr. gives risks, benefits and alternatives for treatment and answers all your questions and concerns. Then you decide on the treatment you want for your horse. We are extremely happy with the Dr.’s and have recommended them.

Straight forward. Do not sway your decisions, nor rush you to make them. Informative, knowledgeable, accommodating, compassionate, and do NOT nickel and dime you for EVERY little thing. I didn't get charged an office call when requesting a med and/or refill. Spent as much time as it took over the phone even days/weeks AFTER my appointment. Although my visits didn't have a happy ending, my time with them short, I'm so appreciative of feeling like they walked beside me. They provided the facts and knowledge as well as the risks involved with each. I felt comfortable knowing that the decisions that I had to make were informed decisions. -Maddie Lynn's Mom-

I had such an excellent experience with Dr. Quinter and her staff for a pre-purchase exam! She was patient, thorough, and collaborative throughout the exam, even adapting some components to better respond to the horse's training level and age. She caught subtle exam findings, explained her observations and recommendations thoroughly, and took plenty of time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. Though I'm not local, I wish I was because Dr. Quinter would absolutely be my horse's vet. Those in the area should count yourselves lucky to have such a skilled communicator and clinician to care for your pets!

This is hands down the best vet clinic I've ever used. The staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and compassionate. The prices are comparable to other clinics this size in most cases, and more affordable in a few. The facility is clean, and they really care about your animals! They call just to check up and see how the animal is doing after a visit over a concern, and don't try to push expensive treatments when it's not the best option. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would!

They are amazing. They have been caring for my Milo since we brough him home and they have cared for all of our other dogs and the dogs from my boyfriends childhood. We travel an hour to see them rather than finding a new vet closer to home because they have a great staff and we feel cared about there and never pressured for unnecessary tests or procedures. We will go here as long as we live in MI.

I highly recommend Dr. Quinter for equine veterinary services! Her and her staff were flexible when we hauled in two horses to have gastroscopes performed. We were given the option to stay in the room with the horses while they did the scope, and Dr. Quinter explained everything as it came on the screen. After, she explained several different recommended treatments and why she recommended them- I wish all vets did this!! Plus, a very thorough exam beforehand detected a heart murmur in my horse that had previously gone undetected. I am especially pleased with the service we got because we had visited another vet for this same gastroscope, and they had never seen my horse's condition before and could not identify it. However, Dr. Quinter seemed familiar with it and confident in her assessment of severity and chances of recovery. I am grateful to have found this wonderful vet, as it's been one of the best experiences with an equine vet so far! Not to mention, I was supposed to call the day after to pay the bill, but forgot all about it for like three weeks and was not penalized when I did call to pay. Thank you Dr. Quinter & staff!!

The tone of staff changes & customer care goes out the window when you ask them to help you; apparently "business protocol and procedures" take precedence over your animals care. I would strongly suggest looking for other services as Countryside has proven not to be there for their clients when they are truly needed.

Had an evening equine emergency and my regular vet had no emergency number. A friend recommended Countryside to me so I called and they came right out to see my horse. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and gentle. I couldn’t of asked for better care. I will be making the switch to them for all my pet care needs.

They have cared for all my cats and save the life of one of my kitties. The staff goes out of their way to help and are so kind and carring. I live in Jackson and make the drive out to them because they are that good.
