Quiet lake, clean and nice for swimming. Beautiful sunsets. Very peaceful with multiple spots to sit and relax. All the of front porches of the cabins have a beautiful view. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the cabins! The owners are so nice and easy to talk to, and very attentive to requests and maintenance. This was the perfect spot for our large family to rent the whole group of cabins. We enjoyed gathering for meals at the picnic tables, going out on the row boats and sitting around the campfire. It was awesome to be so close to Mackinac city and the island. Hope to stay again some day!

We try to visit this place once a year, especially when it gets cooler in the fall, we enjoy it with its close vicinity to wilderness state park and the dark sky park. We prefer to stay at the log cabin.

Amazing place! The owners are so sweet. Cabins are modern, spotless, and have everything you could need. Close to town but far away from the craziness of it all. Amazing place for kiddos too. Fishing, swimming, tons of clean sand :) We booked for next year on our way out! Can't wait for summer!

We stayed in July and had a wonderful experience. Cabins were clean and just beautiful. Peaceful and quite. Beach was perfect for small children and very clean! We are looking forward to a return visit next summer! Close to the UP and Mackinaw, but also perfect if you just want a peaceful retreat. Caught my first fish since I was a child too! Loved it!

My family and I have been coming to this resort since before I was born. It is a weekend getaway that we look forward to every year. The owners are friendly, the cabins are rustic, but have all of your modern conveniences, and it is a wonderful way to enjoy the great outdoors. We look forward to seeing the wildlife, fishing, and relaxing in the great outdoors.

Great place to stay, cozy cabins right on the lake, clean everything you need modern appliances just bring your own sheets and towels food of course.A very relaxing environment surrounded by woods and water.I would recommend this resort as a peaceful get away.

Great location to everything at the tip of the mitten. Easy day trips to all the sights, Mackinaw city, the island and the U. P. Great fishing and lakes everywhere, just a short drive. Owners are great and seem to be always available, comfortable, quiet and convenient! Love, love, loved it!!

Actually, it is really a 10 star rating! This is our 7th consecutive year staying at The Maples. Just a slice of heaven...clean, location is ideal, lake is large but not too busy to take kayaks, wave runners or skiers out on the lake. Dawn & Vance are wonderful people and very accommodating. This is one of my favorite vacation spots to just relax. Near so many areas of interest in the area...highly recommend. Diane Callahan

We stayed here in June 2014. We loved, loved the place! We stayed in the log cabin. It was more that we expected. Beds were comfortable, wonderful kitchen with new appliances, great shower and a screened in porch which is where we spent 90% of our time. Decorated in cabin style.lake is clean with sandy bottom and great fishing. Highly recommend. Thanks Dawn and Vance !

We had the best 2 days rest. Very quiet and very clean and comfortable! No television or Wifi. It was good to be unplugged and just relax!The owners are very nice people.We would love to go back again sometime.
