Nice and quiet, romantic getaway. Simple living. Very nice. Back porch view of sunrise on beautiful Carp Lake. Everywhere we went locally, people were very friendly.Host was more than accommodating and very friendly.P.S. If they don't have fire wood..... take a right out the drive and a little over a mile down the road past the marina...Ricky has good wood for sale by the road.Excellent stay.Thank you Carp Lake and Lakeside Cabins.

We loved our cabin at Lakeside Cabins! It was very clean and warm upon our arrival. The cabin had all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay. Cross country skiing and snow shoeing on the frozen lake was a highlight. The wifi and smart TV added a nice touch.Food & drinks: There is a great local bar across the street, Clyde's Place. We got pizza there our first night and had to go back again later in the week because it was so good!

My sister and I had a wonderful time! The cabin was so clean and the bed comfortable! The view of the lake was amazing! I wish I could have stayed longer. It was quiet and peaceful. I will go back again and will probably try to go every year. We arrived later than expected but he waited for our arrival and greeted us warmly! I am handicapped and was able to move around easily. Thank you for such a great time and vacation! It was everything that was stated on the website. There are two great restaurants and a cute store. I cannot say anything bad.

My wife and I shared a little cabin here. The guy that checked me in was very accommodating and very knowledgeable with the surrounding area and what stores would be open and which ones would best suite your needs. The cabin was really clean only found one tiny spider which is great considering you're in a wooded area I actually expected more.

Found these Cabins by the Lake luckily as everyone was booked. Its a nice little cabin one roomed with comfy bed a TV, Internet, little kitchen area with a stove, refrigerator and a sink for washing. Small bathroom with hot water shower. Very clean, theres a neat little screened in porch and a picnic table and campfire pit. And a fantastic view of this large beautiful lake.

The cabin was cozy and warm after a long day of ice fishing. The owner was super nice and welcoming. The area itself is also nice with a bait shop convince store and 2 local restaurants within 2 minute drive from the cabin. I had an excellent stay here. My one and only gripe that I have was the shower head. Change the shower head to a traditional one and you have checked every box on my list lol. Will be back again.

Absolutely loved these cabins! It had everything we needed and was right on the lake. Perfect for an outdoor or fishing enthusiast. We were only staying for one night but I wish we had stayed longer. The screened in porch and the firepit make for wonderful hangout spots and the cabin itself was cozy and comforting. The host was also very accomdating and communication with him was a breeze. 10/10 would recommend!

Right on Paradise Lake. Back porch is a Nice place to sit and enjoy the Lake view. Our cabin was rustic as advertised. Parking right in front of the cabin. Maitenance and renovation going on in front. Right next to the Harbor Lights Grill and a block from the General Store. Clyde's bar and grill walking distance. Peaceful area and safe.

Cute little cabin. Perfect place for a getaway from the Mackinac crowds. Close enough to drive in the city for shopping, dining, etc. I would definitely stay again.

We had great vacation at the cabins. They were clean and comfortable. The manager was very helpful and really nice. I would definitely recommend this place. The lake is literally 10 steps out the back door and there is a fire pit for camp fires, picnic tables and chairs are also provided. It's pet friendly too! I can't say anything bad about the place at all! Looking forward to going back!

Thank for the cute little cabin with sand beach and allowing our two dogs. Late check in was nice after traveling a long ways. Cabins were cozy but could use some different lighting options other than the overhead lights...maybe a bed lamp or table lamp in the living room. Water in the lake was warm and clean. Would stay again if in the area.

Loved this place! Just stayed one night on a road trip but would come back for a week of rest and relaxation. Cabin had all the necessities - even wifi - with basic furnishings. For a longer visit, I'd bring my own linens. Porch out the back, right on the lake. Every cabin has a fire pit. A bar, a restaurant, and two general stores within walking distance. Across Hwy 31 is the northwest Michigan rail-to-trail trail and a signpost showing Mackinac City to be less the 8 miles away, an easy bike ride. I had thought maybe to go to the Dark Sky Park that is 15 minutes away by car, but it was dark enough on the lake and the sky was clear enough that I could see the Milky Way right there.

It's a dump here. Cabins are very old and there is little to no maintenance on them. Our cabin had a broken screen door and a window with a gap to let all the friendly bugs in. Cabins aside, the area is not taken care of. Grass isn't mowed, lots of junk sitting outside, and lots of other eye sores. The pictures should speak for themselves.Location is the only good thing about this place since it is 10 minutes from Mackinaw City.

We've stayed here twice now and have been very pleased. The views are beautiful, the beds are comfy and the staff is helpful and friendly. Even though the cabins are close together it is a very peaceful place to stay. It is close enough to Mackinaw City for a quick trip, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. The cabins are on the rustic side but warm, dry and clean. We will be happy to go back often.

This place is marvelous. It's the old time cabin by the lake your grandparents went to as kids. It's got everything you need for a weekend or a week. The lake is right outside the backdoor. The owner was great and the cabin was very clean. I'm definitely making plans to come back many times and hopefully bringing friends to. Clyde's Place is just short walk for awesome food and drinks. For being just a short ride from the bridge Lakeside Cabins as that small town feel for a fantastic getaway.

It was beautiful, the cabin was as described. I had cabin 2 and there was a family that had cabin 1 and 3- 7 my only issue was they kept cutting through at least 50 times. People should respect other people's privacy and pass by cabin on the front side. It's kind of annoying enjoying a great view and little kids and adults cutting past your cabin . Other then that it was beautiful. The owner was great and always available

True old school cabins. Love the back porch right on the water. Perfect for watching the sunrise. The photos I posted are not altered - no filter used. This is an absolutely gorgeous spot. So close to Headlands and a few other nature reserves are within 30 minutes of the cabins. These cabins are for those that aren't looking for frills. They are equipped with modern TVs, microwaves, coffee makers, but they retain the characteristics of cabins from the 1940s. I loved it. Honestly, I think the TVs should go - but that's because I feel like the whole purpose of vacations to a cabin on the lake is to disconnect from technology and immerse yourself in the natural beauty you came to see! To each their own. If you go, I hope you enjoy the cabins for what they are - a trip back in time in a beautiful place.

I love this place! I came every summer as a pre-teen, then 25 years later, I brought back my husband and 3 sons. They loved it too! This summer my 18 month old grandson came also. Three generations! I love the rustic feel, nothing fancy, but clean and well kept! Ritchie is friendly, helpful and at your service. Shallow, sandy beach bottom to walk into. You dont have to walk down steps or a cliff to get to water!! The sunrise view over the lake is phenomenal! Close to Mackinaw, but nicely placed in Paradise Lake. Neat little crossroads to ride your bikes. Never ending memories to be made here!!

Awesome quite place to stay. Cabins right on the water of a beautiful lake. Every day we were out there the lake was almost entirely empty. There are some weedy spots but also some sandy ones. Definitely a rustic cabin, but perfect to disconnect and recharge! Kitchen utensils leave little to desire so if you are planning on cooking, bring your own stuff. There are two restaurants within a less than 5 minute walk as well. Cheesecake is to die for at the harbor lights inn. Pizza is good at Clydes. There are also like 2 outlets in the entire cabin. Mattress aren't great but we made do. A mattress pad may help. Like I said, definitely rustic, but every cabin is on the water and has their own fire pit! Water out front is shallow and sandy for a long ways out. Our boat docked fine, but we had to drift in as it was too shallow for the engine. Public boat launch is right next door to the cabins. Will for sure stay here again if we find ourselves in the area.

Summer 2018. A true lakeside cabin experience. Arrived late at night when it was dark so took a while to get settled. Rooms are decently sized for a small cabin. Bathrooms could use a little more work to make them more comfortable. Bathroom water had a funky odor to it. Had a couple beers with the owner late night by the campfire. Overall a great experience. Try to spend some time there to really enjoy the place. Something we were not able to do.

Such a charming place, and so reasonable! It is rustic (well water, no AC, rustic cabins) but if you know that going in you will not be disappointed by anything. Cabins are clean with everything you could need: clean sheets, towels, full kitchen, fire pits, cheap fire wood and kindling, TV with Roku, boats available for rent...seriously all the things you could possibly need for a great weekend or week. The cabins face a gorgeous and quiet lake and the owner is such a gem (so accommodating and helpful without hovering). We will definitely be back, I imagine it's gorgeous in the fall/winter.

My husband, nephew and wife spent a week at Lakeside cabins summer of 2018. We rode all the way from Iowa on motorcycles and found the cabins to be clean, comfy and a really friendly new owner. Across the way is Clyde's. Really fun place, excellent food. The pizza was awesome. We really enjoyed our visit. Super close to Mackinaw and St Ignace. The lake is beautiful!! We'd stay here again! It was super relaxing. The owner was super accommodating and is always on property but doesn't bother you. Super cool guy!!

The cabin #5 was perfect for me.. I needed a place to prepare meals as I am on a strict low carb diet... there were sufficient utensils and dishes etc.... and appliances ... the cabin was clean and comfortable..as was the bed... the bathroom was clean and modern... it has the cutest gas stove for heat... I enjoyed eating most of my meals on the porch...My vacation (too short) was nice and relaxing.... I plan to return next year again in October... Thank you for this nice rustic place to stay! This was our first stay here and the owner was very nice and respectful. The cabins are clean, and well maintained, no funky mildew smells like some cabin rentals. The water has a funky smell when you first run it, but that's to be expected up north with the well water. The Furnished kitchen was convienient. The other cabin guests were very respectful and quiet which we appreciated, we wanted a quiet getaway from the city and this was it. No parties or any dogs barking. The view of the lake from our cabin and beachfront was fantastic. The cabins face the sunrise which was beautiful above the lake. The lake has a lot of seaweed in the middle areas but the owner says the county is working on airating it. We would stay here again and recommend it for a quiet getaway with a great scenery!!
