Wish I could share the enthusiasm and good words. This store is needed by the community so much. The store itself is well stocked and reasonably priced. However, the owner, acts like he is so inconvenienced by customers and is unwelcoming. I have been here 7 times since it opened, always purchasing something. When you have a small business in a smallTown you are so much more than eggs and milk, you are the face of that community. Be kind, be grateful, be welcoming.

Magical! My entire life changed after one visit. My boss gave me a raise, the dog started cleaning up his own poop, and the cats personality changed from neurotic and dominant to friendly and down right helpful. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot, somehow my truck's steering was re-aligned. An hour later I got a call from Harvard Medical School letting me know I received a full four year scholarship (I never even applied). When I went fishing that evening, I caught a fish that tried to grant me three wishes if I agreed to let him go. Life was so good already I ate him with a nice brown butter and dill sauce. A couple months after I returned home I noticed the grass had stopped growing. It didn't die, I just didn't have to cut it anymore. With the money I save not having to water my lawn anymore I was finally able to afford that Millennium Falcon Lego set I always wanted. My cat even helped me assemble it. Who knew cats could assemble Legos even without opposable thumbs. So anywho.. shop here it's good.

Excellent little store with a great selection. The team running the store are experienced and have passion working their craft.They have an amazing ice cream selection for take home pints and in store option.Beyond great local meats. Beautifully created countertop as well.They’ve helped me several time and prevented several trips to Mac City or Cheboygan.Thanks for working hard and rebuilding!

The new owners did a great job with the concept and execution on the re-build and re-brand of this general store. Great grocery selection for travelers and locals in a pinch, very nice local fresh meat/deli items, hand dipped Hudsonville ice cream, wide selection of drinks, and sundries!!

Real classic little convince store. Anything you might have forgotten and need in a pinch while on vacation. They also have some groceries for sale if you're looking for dinner options. Super nice owner too. Real good local feel on a snowy day

What a great little place, I highly recommend it! Really nice, quality selection combined with helpful and friendly local owners brings back to Carp Lake a much-needed asset. The owners have redesigned and rebuilt this store into a real gem for the local and repeat visitor community.
