In the last 6 months I have noticed the store get very clean, and put together. I know that they are short staffed, but it is amazing how only few staff can get that much done! Kudos to you guys. I've started going in every Monday to grab some beverages for work, Michelle is always there with a smile on her face. And it's very fun to talk to. I've never seen her nasty or unhelpful. She always tells you right where everything is, she is a gem!

The employees are cool, friendly always helpful but obviously overwhelmed seriously and understaffed. I've been going to this location for years and it most definitely gets neglected by the higher ups. Starting wage is $10 which is unbelievably disrespectful. The store is very unorganized. Always carts of product in the main isles, shelves empty. Isles fully blocked with carts. It's become a joke. Also the pictures posted aren't this store.

The new manager at this place has got this place looking better than it has in a long time. She is very nice and helpful. Hope she stays. I would like to say also this new person who works there is very rude not happy with her job . Tag on shelves are all priced wrong and I am sick of paying way to much. . I feel bad for that new manager

In all honesty, I have nothing good to say about this store, they’re a joke. They are never stocked, the shelves are pretty much always empty. There are carts of boxes in front of some shelves, blocking people’s way to getting to what they need. It’s very annoying to push these carts out of the way. Not to mention, they close about 20 minutes early, doors closed and everything. With my experience working in retail and fast food, we actually closed at the time that we were supposed to and we counted the drawer afterward, not 20 minutes early. There had also been times where they would close during the day just for restocking, very annoying and inconvenient.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is disgusting. Not to mention a huge hazard to anyone trying to navigate the aisles. Tons of carts blocking the aisle way. Broke down boxes laying all over the floor. There were multiple aisles that I couldn’t even access because the amount of carts blocking the way. Shelves are half stocked and what is stocked isn’t even neatly done. I feel bad for the employees who work in this work hazard of a store, it’s unsafe and I’m sure OSHA would have plenty to say about it.

This store just had a beautiful remodel. However, it didn't take long for it to be a mess again. You are unable to get down most aisles due to carts full of stock waiting to be put away. This is impossible for a handicap person and ultimately a fire hazard. After the remodel, they had the freshest produce around and now the cooler is broken and all the food is sitting there to rot.

Horrible! I need one thing and was met at the door and not allowed in because the two guys working said they have to take care of three carts of new stock and the manager won’t respond. I just needed coffee. Unreal! This store was great and I wish higher ups cared enough to notice!

Can barley get down any isles because of stock carts. Stores an absolute mess and products are rarely on shelves. When they are actually on the shelf they’re typically blocked by product carts. Completely stressful to try shopping here.

Good store since manager changed her attitude from bad to good. I always thought this store was clean and organized. They have alittle bit of everything here, and great location.. I just pulled out all my Halloween decorations from last year and the year before, and they are still in good condition.Best prices for seasonal items.

It's an ok store for quick shopping. Store seems a little cramped at times with people conversing in the aisles then stock carts left all over the store. Some staff are kind and helpful others just seem like they are just there for the job, depressed and not talkative while others seem cranky all the time.

Always busy and clean, we love the coloring book selection and often stop in after preschool. My son had a bathroom emergency and the cashier immediately helped us even though she had a customer with a half checked-out cart.

Since I moved to the area, this was my 2nd time here. I am Happy the place is spaced out, clean, the young lady working by herself was happy and Friendly and was doing a Great job stocking up and helping customers and the vendors. I am looking forward to more visits.

This company needs to step up with security and getting these employees some help. They have too many responsibilities that keeps them away from the door which makes them unaware of who comes into the store.

Not exactly a dollar store since some items are very expensive there. A UBS port was $8 dollars there. For all I know it might have caught on fire using it in my car. I'll take my chance buying a UBS port from a store more reputable like Best Buy.

If a young lady is employed there by the name of Lacy, I've a complaint. As an otr truck driver, I'm on the road most days, having been home for the second time this month. I called and explained my situation, and spoke with Lacy. Very kind, helpful. I was informed there was a truck, which had rubbing alcohol on it, but may not be off truck until sunday morning. I was told to call back in 15 minutes. I called back, and having taken a screen shot of location, on pretty sure I called back correct place. The person who answered sounded exactly like the Lacy I originally spoke with. I was told no Lacy work there. I mentioned the conversation from the first phone call, to be told, "yeah, everbodies looking for alcohol, you got the wrong store!"If I'm right, shame on you, being a trucker is difficult during this time. If I'm wrong, I truly apologize.

The cashiers are very rude and unhelpful they make you feel like you are bothering them if you ask them for help finding something or need them to get something for you that's out of your reach. This is the closest Dollar General to my home but I refuse to go there I'll drive 15 miles out of the way to go to a different one

I work there and everything a $1.00 come visit us back to school items folder crayons pencils ,rulers, pencil ,bags ,magnets for there lockers mirrors paper note books calenders pens 12 pks blue ,blk calulater, calenders ,date book's. And lots of everyday items . We even have a freezer section and eggs 18 ct for only $1.00 bread, buns come give us a look.You will be please on our selection.

The girls that work at Carleton DG put a smile on the faces of my Wife and I almost every morning. Awesome staff. They are almost always understaffed it seems; yet they are as prompt and courteous as possible.

Cashiers are very rude and disrespectful.. They treat everyone especially Senior Citizens very disrespectfully.. They don't know how to use simple math, such as adding and subtracting.. Looks like the New Family Dollar will be running DG out of this town.. BOYCOTT DOLLAR GENERAL in Carleton MI.

Not an "everything is a dollar" store. More like convenience stor. Good selection of things for when you just need to run in and grab one thing. Something have a better price and some are more pricey for the quantity.

My go to for household supplies but they never seem to every have all the stock on the shelves. I think the stores are built to small and they need more staff in the afternoon 1 or 2 ppl is not enough

This is the second time in a short period of time that this store has locked the doors early. I'm hearing this is ongoing. Very frustrated when you just need a couple items. This is a small town with not many choices. A shame you can't what you need here.

I agree with the previous review. This store gives Dollar General a bad name. I will drive out of my way to go to another DG, even though this store is less than 2 miles from my home.
