Great little hidden spot! Workers are so nice and welcoming. First come first serve bar incase you don’t wanna wait to get a table, the food is cooked right in front of you, the french toast is amazing. They make the bread themselves it’s truly great, they have a butchery inside where you can buy the food you just ate and cook it at home, I reccomend the holiday bacon!!! The gas station next door is great to, it’s not like any other big city chain gas station, they sell their own milk products, have their own prices, and have souvenirs! And they still sell products that normal gas stations would have. It’s everything you could want. It’s a refreshing change from what you’d normally see in urban living.

This is a great kick back to the old school gas stations that had it all! Fresh meat available to take home, delicious smoked meat with plenty of seats to dine in. Wings, sandwiches, BBQ pulled pork, chicken thighs sandwich, breakfast is served in house as well!

Found this place on sheer accident, and will most likely drive out of my way at some point to find this place again. Food was awesome. First time I have had actual homemade corned beef hash in years. Pretty interesting place, highly recommend.

Ownership has an unhealthy obsession with former employees. One opted to make his own meat packages which he sold to friends and family. The owner when hearing this went to a friend of his while worked for the health department and asked them to shut him down. For selling to friends and family. We only confirmed because he bragged about it to employees. Even if the breakfast was good, or the location ideal, why would I support someone so petty?

The Deli is awesome! Some of the best food around! They have the best cuts of steak around, and at a reasonable price. Anytime I’m having people over I get everything from here. The hot food is also SOOO SOOO good! The smoked Chicken Wings are hands down the best wings in town! The deli staff is also great! Marc is very knowledgeable, and so helpful! If you don’t know about this hidden gem, I very highly recommend it.

Great breakfast and service. I have also purchased brats from the deli and everyone loves them! The market is helpful for those last minute items you need. I highly recommend a visit and don't forget to pick up some spinach dip! Delicious!

Crazy good breakfast foods here. It's located a bit in the middle of nowhere, but worth the drive if your coming from the city. It's a restaurant in the corner of a butcher shop and general store, so obviously they know their way around some meat. The servers all seem on top of things, and most like they've been in the business a long time.Try the biscuits and gravy, you won't be disappointed.

Visited on 8/17/19 for the first time at around 10am for breakfast and received terrible service. Our waitress pretty much ignored us the entire time. We had to wipe down the table, wait 25mins for waters, and since we never seen her again I had to walk up and grab the bill. The food was actually pretty good, so we're willing to give it another try. Hopefully, it goes far better than the service we received today.

I'm so sad to give this review but.... the food/deli has gone so downhill in taste. Before, I didn't mind paying $2-3 more for potato salad, coleslaw, etc.because it was so good. Now, it's worse than a Meijer brand....I don't understand, the food used to be sooooo good! I thought I heard that the manager of the deli retired? If that's the case, please bring him back! I'm so sad about the quality now, and I'm so sad to give such a negative review, please just go back to how it was before😢

I rated them a 4, only because most of my rib was fat. I must say though, it was still tasty and I ate it! The Greek style pasta salad was amazing!!! I will return soon and hopefully give them a 5 🙂

Edited per the response from the owner, very quick response, thank you! We had the burgers at the inn and are excited to take some of that delicious bacon home from the Mill.Stopped at Honey creek inn for a bite to eat, got a $5 off coupon to use at the Grist Mill, and was told at the register that we couldn't use it until June, after we already had the fresh meat ordered and in hand. No indication on the reciept of when the deal started.

**update**Over the past couple of years I’ve really enjoyed going to the deli and getting all sorts of great smoked meats from pulled pork, smoked chicken wings, brisket and much more!Today I went in to place an order for a Christmas Day gathering and asked for their great smoked wings. I was told they were not smoking meats tomorrow (Christmas Eve), so I made sure to order wings today to pick up this evening as the man told me too. He wrote everything done and we agreed to a time of 7pm pick up.I went back to their store around 7pm and was told my order was missing and they had no wings available to cook. I was told the person I gave the order too isn’t very good at writing down orders and tends to forget even though he wrote it down. They checked with the Manager and the lady told me they could give me 50% off any smoked meats they had today but when I was in there, not much left and no smoked wings.I do really enjoy this small hometown place but I’m very disappointed they can’t keep an order that I placed in person and almost felt like it was my fault.**Update***The Manager Ethan made everything right and cooked us some wings. Thanks! Christmas Miracle!

My family and I have been going here for years. It’s got a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and some of the best food I’ve ever had. We always make it a point to grab a few pounds of the holiday bacon whenever when have guests! They usually grab a pound or two before they head back home themselves.

Excellent lunch sandwiches, if I'm in town I'll eat lunch there, cold or hot!! My wife was in town there last week and I asked her to pick up some steaks for a Sunday night grilling. $60 dollars worth and the steaks were all pinkish/grayish. Not even red or marbled. Very disappointed.

This cafe is reminiscent of days long past. Enjoy tasty barbeque ribs, smoked riblets, and short ribs for dinner. If you are an early riser, enjoy a delicious omelet, or a plate of waffles and strawberries. The cafe is roomy and tucked in the back of the store.

New year's day. 40 people being served by one waitress. Every weekend. She carries herself very well but clearly cant do the job she would like to be doing. It's unbelievable management is allowing the restaurant to be run this way. Of course the food is on beautiful here but painful to watch out the place is managed. The crooks & deli staff occasionally help.

Review only concerns Habanero sticks purchased 08/10/18. The stick was totally lacking in spiceiness. What they weren't lacking was salt. They were so salty that after eating part of one, I tossed the rest in the trash.On top of that when I looked at the label, I noted they were 3 days past their sell by date. I remembered back last summer when I was in the store and another person was complaining about outdated beef sticks. I would hope they monitor their products better.

I understand that you are busy on a Sunday morning, the least you can do is take names when new people walk in the door. After standing there for 10 minutes and having open seats the waitresses couldn't be bothered to take any more names, just worry about the people that were already on the list.
