I went to the Dollar General on 68th street in Caledonia. To find just 2 balloons for a haircut client of Mine. She has very severe cerebral palsy and her favorite thing is balloons. So I went inside on my way to her house and decided I would get her a couple of pretty balloons. The lady that helped me. She told me her name, but I forgot it. Unfortunately at this point. She gave me the balloons for free.She thought it ⁸was a wonderful thing that I was doing and she would cover the cost for them That was such a sweet thing to do , and that's a way of paying it forward

Today I witnessed a vendor get belittled, talked down to, and just downright disrespected by the woman who seemed to be the 'manager'. The vendor just wanted to get his job done and move on with his day, but the woman insisted he didn't do his job correctly. I felt so bad for him because she was so rude and condescending. The lack of professionalism on the manager's part really rubbed me the wrong way. If she acts this way in front of paying customers, imagine how she treats other employees. I won't be returning to this location.

I was just told to leave the store as soon as I walked up to the register with what I was buying. When I asked the lady who seemed to be in charge why she would not give me and answer and threatened me to leave. I then asked the other employee why and she gave me a look implying she had no clue why either.All in all the store was filled with trash and entire boxes of product were all over the ground.

They make up there own hours they are supposed to be open until 9 pm and I went there at 6 one day and was told soon as I walked in we are closed and to leave then went there today they are supposed to be open from 8-9 but there doors are locked and says open at noon -9

Pretty standard for a Dollar General. Employees are more friendly than other stores I have been to. Good place to pick up some essentials but get what you pay for. Kitchen utensils for example do not tend to last long but priced so can be affordable.

The staff is always friendly, and helpful. The store is always clean, and stocked. When the parking lot has wrappers, or litter, someone always comes out to pick it all up. My favorite store by far. Thank you for making your store MY Dollar General. Thank you for all of your hard work.

Super quiet everytime I go in here. Hardly no wait in line. They always have my favorite coffee in stock. The staff is very very pleasant. Really good deals. Really clean store. Over fairly decent as far as smaller stores go.

It would be nice if it was open when it should be. We enjoy popping in for quick needs, but sometimes the door is locked during the day. Staff is friendly and the store is pretty clean. But these things don't matter much if the store isn't open...

Shelf Spaces we're cramped and disorganized, items placed in the wrong spot. and the worst part is this petite, brown haired girl, (hair was in a pony tail)wouldn't let us through isles when trying to get late night shopping done. and was rude and arrogant, like doing her job was a bother. and not to mention stares and me and my friends kid. Dany, the assistant manager was really nice however, but we won't be shopping there again.

Every local DG has empty shelves, and every aisle full of boxes with the things that should be on them. Most stores stock at night, but they just have the cashiers do it all. They never appear to have more than 1 employee in the store at a time and frequently close early from lack of staff. Why keep building more DG's when you can't staff the ones you have?

The food was not good. Didn't seem fresh. The egg rolls were overcooked and the fried rice was way too salty. Broccoli seemed old and hardly any meat in the beef and broccoli. Drive thru line was very slow.

Fast. Paper goods are riced reasonablyOur in and out. Don't have to walk through a huge store just for everyday items. Prices are comparable to Walmart

Disorganized, big messy clearance tables down the center isle and cluttered shelves. They carry a wide selection of items, but the high price for their generic items doesn't match the cheap quality. I would rather shop at Meijer or Target for those items and anything that you need on the cheap could be purchased at Dollar Tree. It is conveniently located for me so I will shop there occasionally.

Convenient place where stuff is generally not a dollar but they generally have everything I'm looking for and then some. Check out is long, the register person is off stocking product most times and those in front of you are stupid slow.

I dig the place because I can quickly get basics like water, milk, butter.Why only 4 stars? They need to relax with the Holiday Merch... Not even 1/2 way thru August and Halloween stuff is up already.

I had applied for a position at a Dollar General location within Grand Rapids but the manager saw my application and asked if I was interested in an interview but the location was way out in Dutton which is off the bus line which is my mode of transportation. I wanted to see for sure where it was located and it was way off the bus route for me to get to. Sorry.

This place makes up their own hours everyday is different nothing on the shelf's and cluttered. Horrible when they ate the only big store in such a small community.

I go to the one in dutton and they are very nice and friendly. I find alk my Disney yard ornaments their. I have all of snow white and the seven dwarfs.

Visited many many Dollar Generals in the last 2 days. This store on 68th St. Was a total disgrace. Shelves were empty, so many boxes in aisles, could not walk.

Great , I hope you open one on Whitney ville road in Alto Michigan , we need one really bad . We are about 8 miles from a grocery . There is a gas station on the corner of 68th and Whitney ville with a small convenient s area but it is so high in price . There are so may prove that would visit from the small lakes around here and many house develop ments , plus Whitney ville is a high traffic road . You guys would do fantastic ! Please open please

Usually a long line at peak times to check out (12-1, 5 to 6 pm). Otherwise the store is fairly well kept and organized.

It's a convinience store. The people are nice enough. Not a huge variety of food, but considering it's in the middle of nowhere, I'm thankful to have it around.
