The way they package their ground beef is awful! There was blood leaking out everywhere. We picked up our cow, and by the time we got home, there were pools of blood on the top of the ground beef, and the beef itself was still rock hard. We tried to clean them up as we put them in our home freezer, but inside our freezer, now is covered in blood. It's going to be a pain to clean out unless I deforst my deep freezer, which would mean taking all my meats out... super annoying. We'll get out cow processed somewhere else. The other meats were packaged in a way that was leak proof.

Great job on my pigs dropped off 4 . 1 for me 3 for customers smoked and Italian sausage seasoning. Everyone received their cuts correct. 9 day turn around great place! Will send all my livestock to them. Thank you

I really love this place. We've gotten two cows from them from scales prairie and love every bit of beef. They are very kind and are willing to help with any issues you have at all! Would recommend to anyone.

We're farmers and normally don't have time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. The folks at Caledonia Packing know their stuff. All 18 of our cut and wrap orders were correct. Nice evenly cut steaks and chops, superb trim and vacuum seal. They really make our home grown beef and pork shine. Great bacon, hams and sausage. Totally dedicated to customer service! Check then out whether you are looking for some nice steaks out of their retail case or a reliable outlet to process your meat animals.

We take our meat into Caledonia for a couple years now, and this weekend we had the WORST experience with Mike!! He is extremely rude, doesn't care about anything, does't want to help!He called my husband about one of our cows and couldn't give us any information on what was going on other then one wasn't getting up (which they were perfectly fine when we dropped them off) , didn't keep us updated on anything, just decided he would get "rid" of it without talking to us about it. I'm extremely mad at them! Unprofessional

I can not describe how amazing the people are here. Long story short, I needed liver for my dog who has anemia due to having a mass on his liver that may or may not be cancerous. When I called to get information (the lady, i completely forgot her name since I was so upset about my dog and working on 3 hours of sleep for the last few days, was so sweet and informative) she was closing in 10 minutes and I was in Grand Rapids, and she decided to stay open until I got there. Had everything I needed ready for me. Words can not describe how sweet, amazing, and appreciated that was. --oh and she was 100%correct my dog loves the liver and gobbles up the bone shavings in his food - it has given him enough energy that he can actually stand again. Here's hoping and praying that it isn't cancer.

They kept most of the good cuts. We brought a huge steer in for processing. Was charged over $800, we got tons ground beef, stew meat, pot roast meet and soup bones. Got a few pieces of filet, some delmonico, new York strip and a few ribs. No signs of Prime rib roast, no Tbone or porterhouse steaks. So very disappointing, will never use again.

Low percentage yield (extremely low) on a lean cow with bone-in cuts, gave a HALF POUND "brisket." Our invoice was also wrong. We've purchased a quarter cow before from another butcher and it was nearly double the size of what we received with a similar hanging weight.

Very low yield, at least 13% short or 125#'s per cow. They've changed cuts of meat offered. Not the cuts offered I would have liked.
