My Mini Australian Shepherd, Benji, is smart and learned basics quickly, but he reacted horribly whenever he saw other dogs and he jumped on people to greet them. This behavior led me to sign up for pet training classes (level 1 and level 2 classes) with Nancy Oliver at Cadillac's Petco. Nancy is wonderful and so positive, and I am so glad I decided to take her classes. Nancy helped ME learn how to behave and react and train Benji. She helped me learn the body cues Benji was giving and what to do about them. I was so impressed with Nancy and the research she does above and beyond the face-to-face class to help you and your pet. She offered tips to things I was dealing with at home. The in-store photo I included was from Nancy filming how Benji and another dog reacted to each other. She provided so many articles to try different things at home but most of all she gave me confidence to make life with Benji so much more enjoyable. Benji behaves so much better now because Nancy trained me (and Benji) to make it happen. Benji loved his weekly trips to Petco for training, and he gets so excited when he spots Nancy and co-worker Dona in the store. All of the Petco staff were wonderful. I highly recommend Nancy Oliver and her pet training classes. Without Nancy, my biggest concerns about Benji would not have been resolved. I am so glad we took the classes at Petco.

Brian was super helpful with our hermit crab questions and finding solutions to our issues. He really took a lot of time helping my sons and I figure out what would meet our needs for the crabs without breaking the bank or running up the electric bill so high it makes dad angry 😅 Tracy was wonderful to direct us to Brian and amazing at the checkout. Give these guys a raise. They truly go above and beyond. Thank you Brian and Tracy. The 2 new crabs are fitting in with the original just fine.

I am highly satisfied with the dog training I received from Nancy Oliver at Petco. She knows everything there is to know about dogs and you can tell she’s been doing this work for a long time. Not only does she provide the face to face training, she also provides other articles and worksheets to help you navigate more training at home with your pup. I will be signing my dog up again for the next training.

A very clean well organized pet supply store. Food, toys, litter, medicine for cats and dogs. Fish, reptile, birds, hamsters, and turtles available. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My dog Hurricane loves petco! He picks out his own treats, and toys. The toys are very nice because Hurricane (a Boston Terrier) can chew any toy to pieces fast. But not with these toys..he's still got his chewy ball..which is surprising!The workers there are so sweet! They always give Hurricane a little thank you dog treat. He loves all the attention he gets! It's a great store and I would recommend going and checking it out!They have very healthy dog food too! I also bought salmon oil and it helped my older dog in a lot of ways! But to say it all will take up too much space.Thank you petco for moving to Cadillac Michigan! We needed that!

Nancy has been a fabulous trainer! She is thoughtful and encouraging. She has been very insightful in how to better respond and cue our puppy. I love the positive training methods that she teaches. And the best part is seeing how happy my dog is each time we show up for class and she realizes where we are heading! All the staff at Petco have been kind and helpful.

We took our grandson and his dog for dog training at Petco. Nancy Oliver is an excellent trainer. She made my grandson feel super confident and more connected to his dog teaching them how to work together. We went through 2 courses and Nancy was very patient and supportive making the whole thing a positive experience.

My first time in the new store. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. When we checked out she didn't even put my items in a bag, she didn't even offer a bag. Thanks Angelica 😒I usually shop at Pets Naturally in TC, but was in Cadillac and thought I'd check it out. Very disappointed, I won't go back.

I enrolled our shy rescue Butters in the orientation class and Adult dog fundamentals with Nancy Oliver. Butters was six months old when we adopted her in December. She spent her entire puppyhood in kennels or shelters and was afraid of everything and everyone. I wasn’t sure she could handle a “group” training class given her anxiety. Nancy was patient and understanding. She never pushed Butters. Slowly, she came out of her shell and had more confidence by the end of the six weeks. She even allowed Nancy to hold her leash at the end. Nancy provided guidance to deal with issues faced at home and took special care to match Butters with a friendly, outgoing friend in the group class. I also learned a lot about how I interact with Butters. She is especially afraid of unleashed dogs but I now realize my anxiety was contributing to her reaction. Everything is improved as a result of Nancy’s guidance.

We went through classes with Nancy Oliver. She was amazing! Not only did she work on teaching my 4lb yorkie to not be afraid of everything. She taught me as dog mom how to be a better pet parent. Charlie and I highly recommend her.

The cashier “Dona” that helped us was very sweet. But the person who helped us with getting our fish and shrimp was very rude and didn’t care for anything we had to say, we asked for specific ghost shrimp and she completely ignored our request and grabbed whatever ones she felt like grabbing, she didn’t even try to get the ones we asked for like they were hard to catch. We were waiting for her as we were picking out aquarium plants and we had our new betta sitting on the shelf next to the plants and she SHOVED the cup out of the way and completely shook him around, she did not care for the care for the animals. She was very rude, disrespectful, and didn’t care about anything we said. She gave us very irritated and dirty looks when we asked for help, stating she was just around the corner but didn’t ask if we needed help?? The cashier was very respectful but the help with the fish ruined the whole mood for me. Definitely changed my view on that store and for who is caring for the animals, i feel so bad.

My husband and I stopped here on our way home one day to get our 3 dogs some food as they were out. We purchased the Wholehearted brand. They love it! It's the only thing that they will eat at this time as they get bored after a certain period.So, we drove from Mancelona to Cadillac to get them some more. The store is always clean and the employees are very helpful with any questions you have about a product or item. They were also having an adoption event there, which naturally I had to stop and look at the fur babies. I love that this store is somewhat local for us and it's the perfect pet stop, after shopping at Ebel's in Falmouth.

The store is clean, and my kids and I enjoy browsing the store. However my son got a Beardie here a couple months ago, she's healthy so far. The issue is that I signed up for their "vital care" program for her, but every other time I stop in for crickets they don't have any, and the times I have been successful in purchasing them from here they die within a couple days. The ones that are pre filled in containers are mostly dead already. The crickets I get from the reptile store close to downtown typically live for over a week in the same conditions.An employee at this Petco told me I just needed to "call the number" to cancel my membership. It took me over 45 minutes to get a hold of someone, to be told I "committed to a year monthly paid membership." Needless to say I escalated it and got it cancelled. What about their "commitment" to having the food our Beardie needs?

Nancy Oliver is my class instructor.I have a 10 month old airdale. Our first session he was a young nippy, high engery dog, we finished just before the end year holiday's. We are back again for his 2nd round of classes he has showed so much improvement..thanks to all the knowledge, care and attention we received from Nancy, teaching us how to train/love our dogs all being different, all with different needs and traits.Any one with a new puppy, I have recommended her.Great classes! Great Instructor! Great staff in store !

Attended fundamental class with my very stubborn dachshund. I truly believe Nancy O. is a dog whisperer. Watched and learned so much from her. Zoey was immediately a good student for her. The training really starts with the owners which by observing I learned so many basics.

Awful. Got a tortoise from here probably 40 days ago, come home to him unresponsive. When he was just fine an hour prior. I call to see about replacing him, I get smacked with the only 30 days. Yeah thanks for the 300 dollar tortoise that was probably sick to begin with. Not only that, they didn't sell food, heating setups, or anything that a tortoise needs to thrive. We most definitely will find a better place that actually cares about their customers and animals.

A while ago when I was buying another hamster a while ago I was not 18 and I don't know if they changed the rule but there's a rude woman in there whose side and gave me a face when I asked her if she worked there and if she can help me out and she said hold on a sec and she was ignoring me a little bit and she was talking to other person so beware of this person

I have shopped at Petco in several cities. I like the fact that they donate to local animal shelters that have a no kill policy. I recently visited the Cadillac store. I couldn't find a specific food bowl for my cat. The associate not only came over and offered help. She helped me find what i needed and checked me out. I was in and out with in 15 minutes.
