I have to say amazing place! We got a snake just the other day and it was friendly when they just take took it out the little home they had for them. I have to say just my tanks alone even though I don’t have much money I’m still able to get everything for cheap. I also can find things that are friendly to the species, being a dog, a reptile and also any of the little other animals you have or big too!

Best pet store ever. Ducky is such a wonderful person and helped my husband and I figure out how to help our gecko after she stopped eating. I come here every week for cat litter and gecko supplies and I’m always satisfied when leaving. The staff and animals always make it worth the drI’ve. My daughter loves to go and visit all the animals at the pet store when we go in.

Awesome store, nice selection of reptiles and exotics. Lots of terrarium and aquarium supplies. Workers are friendly and knowledgeable. They sold me my favorite, most docile ball python I’ve had so far. And he’s a beauty too!!

I posted a review earlier but these corrupt animal abusers deleted it. This place BOXES AND TAPES THEIR PETS BEFORE THEY HAND THEM TO YOU!! THEIR CAGES ARE OVERFILLED, THEIR MICE AND RATS LIVE WITH DEAD MICE AND RATS AND THEY KEEP 3-4 GUINEA PIGS IN A CAGE MEANT FOR ONE. keep deleting my reviews because my next step is the animal abuse hotline of Michigan. They treat their animals like garbage and it's obvious. Our guinea pig was taped in a shipping box for about 15 minutes before I was allowed to take the tape off and now we are finding that our guinea pig is sick and malnourished from the treatment of this store. Not a good look.

This is where I buy all my pet foods. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They really care about animals. They also sell a variety of fish and other animals, no cats or dogs but everything else practically. You don’t get knowledgeable personal attention like this from a big chain.

They treat their reptiles so bad! They’re just in tiny cages with nothing. I understand this is a temporary home but they need to be able to survive! The store doesn’t even try to meet their minimum requirements for quality life. When I was there one lizard (a uromastyx) had absolutely no heat or lighting on. When I asked to hold him he was ice cold and couldn’t even pick up his head. The worker acted very embarrassed and said ‘Whoops! We must of forgot to turn his light on.’ This could of easily killed him. Even the care sheet suggestions for most of the reptiles are wrong. This is a place that should not be able to sell animals.-From a reptile keeper and Veterinary student.

Vary awful your better off going to exotic expos or reptile expos dont ever trust pet stores there info on animals is usually vary inaccurate the care and health is awful I've seen reptiles with bad stuck shed and vary dry set ups housing animals together that shouldn't be housed together the list goes on inaccurate morph labeling for reptiles or just called "fancy" because they dont know what it is when usually its something easy any breeder can recognize plus the prices are outrageous its better to go to expos they'll actually sell you the proper price of reptiles and other stuff anyway like i said the list goes on i could keep going but this all should be enough of a red flag

Very nice small pet store. With pretty much everything you need and more. They only sell small pets like hamsters, birds, lizards, etc no dogs or cats.

So we had purchased bulbs on 6-2 for our tortous. I had told them I wasn’t sure if these would even fit no one said you can’t return these after purchase because I wouldn’t have gave them my money. The bulbs are untouched still in the box! This is bad for business because I can go to pet smart get the same bulbs and can make a return. Shame on me for trying to give a small town business, business! I will be advising my family and friends to go else where.

Special ordered 1000 crickets, picked it up Monday at 6pm. Got home around 6:15-6:30, opened the box to maybe 150 crickets. Called today to talk to someone got attitude, got told to bring the BOX in on Thursday. Highly disappointed with customer service.

We got parakeets! The employees were very nice & knowledgeable. I've even called them with questions since getting them & they remembered who we were & we just great to work with. I was a Magoo's shopper for 10 years & wish I'd have given that business to Dotty's but they've got it now! We have fish, 3 birds, a cat & 2 dogs. We'll keep them busy. 🙂

Got a few animals from them now, the workers are very nice and know their stuff!!! The prices are very good. They have some pets there for sale from tarantulas to birds , bunnies, ginnipigs, along with other pets.

One of my rats died recently and his brother was understandably very sad. I looked into it and decided to get him a couple friends to help with the grief, and so the new ones won’t be too upset when the elder passes. I went to Dottys and the sales associates were incredibly helpful in helping my choose the right age group of rats to pair, and allowed me to meet all the rats before choosing the ones that would be a good fit. I was a little worried that the elder would feel threatened by the babies, but they’re getting along great ❤️.

I’d highly recommend doing research on some of your starter kits for your animals that you guys sell because all of them are like throwing an animal in a box and calling it good. You set beginner pet owners up for failure by not even having a proper starter kit available to them.

I went in and I was greeted by a very friendly and happy employee, I looked around for awhile until I was asked if I needed help. Melissa which was the one that helped me was very helpful and had a lot of knowledge to give about dog food, She even said that I was getting a good bang for my buck! I’ll see if my dogs like the Diamond naturals that she suggested but I’ll definitely be coming back for customer service!
