We just moved to the area, with 2 healthy dogs, a beagle and a Lab. We intended to establish with this practice in the spring, when they were do for shots...Our beagle became very ill on a Friday AM. He had a piece of bully stick that gave him severe gastritis. I called the clinic, and although completely booked, they were able to work us in.Blaze received excellent care. all the staff, Doc, and the clinic staff were amazing even though they are obviously working very very hard. I really appreciate the attention and care given. Blaze healed up nicely. This small clinic was able to perform all necessary testing and labwork as well. We will be back in the spring and hopefully will not need emergency care ever again!.For those complaining about the lack of emergency vet services in the area ( this is a very real issue!), this happens downstate as well. We moved here from a moderate sized town on the west side of the State, with many vet offices. However, none provided emergency care at all! the closest Animal ER was 1.5 hours away.Really appreciate this vet clinic. They are doing a great job with a small crew.

Dr. Griffin is great, she has always treated my dogs well and on a very busy day at the clinic, made time to treat my puppy for an unplanned visit even though it was close to the end of the day. Dr. Sturmer does an excellent job as well, he has done beautiful dental cleanings on my senior dog.

What an excellent group of people. Wouldn't trust my pets' health with anyone else! Make sure you schedule early with a standard appointment because they are very busy, but if you have an emergency they get your pet in asap, and the care is top notch.

Deep woods vet clinic offers no emergency pet care to non-clients, and when called to ask if they could see our pet due to what we suspect was a seizure, they said that do not see non clients after hours and when asked what we should do about our troubled pet, they said that ‘unfortunately they do not see non clients and that there was nothing they could do.’ This is appalling as, we have no vets within 2 hours of us. I do not recommend this service.

My girlfriend and I raise and breed dogs we have been a customer for over 5 years at this Clinic spent 5,000-7,000 dollars a year here on our dogs. We moved last October and out of the blue 5 months later and in the next year we get an 1100.00 plus bill that we never knew we owed the vet blamed it on anything from power outages to having over 3000 customers. My girlfriend and I used to be friends with Amanda and used to be asked to take care of her chickens while she was vacationing. We are no longer friends and will never use this clinic again! If you want to be lied to your face and laughed at behind your back these girls will take great care of you.

I ended up going here since they were the emergency vet that was available, and was initially doubtful about having to drive an hour each way to see a vet, and was moderately annoyed. However it was very worthwhile since this vet listened to me, and understood my concerns, and took appropriate measures to help my cat get better. They were far more diligent than my regular vet who my cat had seen just 2 days prior for similar complaints, but her regular vet deemed there was nothing really wrong, but I could bring her back Tuesday for tests. I brought her in on Sunday because she had gotten worse, and Amanda Griffin agreed that there was something wrong, and listened to why I felt there was something wrong rather than dismissing it. She also ran appropriate tests after doing a physical exam and finding that there was indeed something wrong. They managed to get her feeling better and were very good at communicating throughout the entire process. They also had very fair prices in my opinion, and I would honestly consider using them as my regular vet despite the long drive.

We are full-time rvers and my basset hound got sick over labor day weekend. I was able to take him to Deepwoods vet and they were so kind and understanding. They called later in the day to check on him. Thank you for your commitment to the health of our pets.

Great vet! We were traveling through the area when our mini doxie experienced some medical issues. They fit us in for an appointment that day and the vet listened to our concerns and helped us figure out a course of treatment that eventually got our doxie back to good health. All the staff we met were friendly and genuinely caring and they even followed up with us twice in the next week to see how he was doing, which was very much appreciated! It's stressful when your animal has medical issues away from home and away from your own vet, but the caring approach at Deepwoods put us and our dog at ease and we can't thank them enough!

I go here for all of my animals.Very friendly, and they take care of our pets like they would their own.My dog hates nail trims and they do her no problem.I was so surprised at how fast paced they are!

Dr Griffin is the most compassionate veterinarian that has cared for one of our pets. We are traveling from Florida and our senior Maltese got sick. She ran tests, provided us with detailed information and recommendations. She called several times to follow up. If we lived anywhere near Bruce Crossing, she would definitely be our vet of choice. Not impressed with the time it took for emergency services to answer and then call me back. In all I waited for three and a half ours to get help from their on call veterinarian. Once I did get them on the phone they were kind and helpful.
