Besides not knowing how to run a store the management and employees are slower than molasses in January and I don't mean movment wise they are brain dead. They freeze meat that has started to spoil then reduce it .50$! Slap a manager special sticker on anything just to sell then argue about price not being changed. Girls behind the quote on quote service counter make sarcastic comments about having to do their jobs and hehy would you want to cash this in its only 2 dollars get a life you self centered little.bart broencity is the biggest joke of all the surrounding areas! Will never waste my time money or effort in this place again. Hope the rest are not this big of a joke bit fare warning don't go here unless you want to put your safety at risk

It has everything, pharmacy, bank, grocery store and even a hardware store. It has all your bases covered. It is not the most reasonably priced store in town but it does offer a great selection of most items you may need. Not a lot of staff working but... when you do find someone they are pretty knowledgeable. Do not forget to sign up for your Ben rewards.

Way overpriced and make sure you check the dates on the food and drinks... It's expired a lot! The owner is greedy and doesn't care about quality! They want almost $9.00 for mayonnaise! Their prices are insane and illegal!

I can see many complaints about lack of rotation in your perishable foods. This is one of my complaints and concerns that owners don't seem to care about since I never received an email back regarding the issue. Someone really needs lessons on how to rotate food, and checking your pricing. I am constantly being rung up wrong for various grocery items that are in error. What I'm really unhappy about is buying milk one day close to expiration (shame on me for not checking but having confidence in my local store 🤷‍♀️) and buying a $20 bag of frozen beef rolls and every single one so far being brown. This tells me that you are packaging and freezing meat that is close to expiration OR has expired. This concerns me for saftey now! Multiple items in condiment aisle have expired in October of 2022 (this is March 23) Blatantly selling expired foods in the clearance dept. When it should be pulled. This is so unacceptable and NOT how you run a business in a small community. I have worked retail as a manager myself and this would of NEVER happend in my store. It's not a hard job to rotate, and price check on a set schedule. What gives here? I'd like to know why this is lacking. People can get VERY sick. If I don't see a change soon, I hope many others submit complaints to the state.....this is your friendly public suggestion to change these issues. I tried to give you a chance in a private setting but now, I'm sure the community would like to know that the owners dont seem to care about them or their safety as far as food consumption and selling expired meat. Do better for your community!

I've worked with the public for over 30 years, never in all my retail career have i ever been in an establishment with such rude employees who have no clue as to what customer service is truly about. While i don't expect much, but as I'm new to the area. I feel there's better places to spend my money. It's a shame that you allow your business to conduct in such a manner. Start with getting rid of the rude lady that's been working there for 100 years. That's a start. She shouldn't be working with the public. I'll shop elsewhere....

Nice small town family owned grocery store. Great selection of fresh meats, Buffalo and other unique favorites also available! Wonderful selection and a HUGE farm and feed section now in 2015-2016 season. Well done! Between this store and it sharing a parking lot with dollar General it's one stop shopping while keeping it local.

Great one stop shop for all your grocery and hardware needs. There's also Chester's Chicken and Subway restaurants at the back of the store. Stopped in to find moving/packing boxes, and they were kind enough to show me what they had and let me take what I needed.Hope you find what you need!

The prices are too high for me. A 2 liter coke bottle is $1.88 on Walmart and $3.60 on Bens? Come on guys, almost the double?

You should train employees to be a little more welcoming and polite. A smile at a customer wouldn't hurt especially the ones at check-out. I had Stacy check me out and she had horrible customer service.

Customer service was nonexistent!! Stood infront of 3 employees for 10 minutes just to have them all walk away in different directions. When I finally did get some help he was so quick he was gone before I had a chance to ask a second question. Next day returned 1 item and was told my money could be put back to my debit card or given store credit. No cash refund would be given. Item wasn't damaged just didn't need it and had my receipt. Paid with a debit card. Should get cash back but now have to wait 2 to 3 days till I get my money! Will NEVER go back!!!

Great hot deli chicken. The store has a little bit of everything. Convenient to have a store locally. May not have everything you're looking for, but they try! Appreciate not having to drive to a big chain store all the time.

Brown City - If you refuse to wear a mask, this is the place for you! Barely no one wearing masks, nothing being enforced - They also have "Covid prevention" pills that are advertised by the pharmacy on a home made sign from the printer in the back. Other than that the place was disgusting, there is dust on some of the shelves and the produce was rotten. There was also expired products in the ice cream section where it looks like it melted and refroze a couple times. People were so rude, not just the staff but other shoppers, but hey I was the ONLY person in there wearing a mask and it probably offended them.

For shoppers , pay close attention to outdated product. Equipment is old and out dated . Produce rooms , meat rooms and deli’s not the cleanest. Friendly staff in Marlette. Their are better places to shop in the area.For people looking for a dead end low paying job this is the place to go. Upper management in Brown city has been there so long they have no clue how to run a business in today’s world . They suck up to the owner who has no respect for his employee’s . Marketing team knows nothing about grocery business and just bows to owners suggestions.Management is afraid to get rid of employee’s they should to make the store run better. So what happens is the good managers and employees leave for better jobs where they are paid managers wages and get more respect.If the owner would treat employees how bens great outdoors does he would have a much better store . Bens great outdoors treats employees with the highest respect.

Very few customer's wearing a mask and no one offering to give them 1. Prime location for a covid spread. Makes me think no one cares about their own health, their children or friends and family. Then again maybe they haven't seen covid in person YE3T (like I have...).

Well your prices are too high for most of the items. Thankfully there is still a Dollar Store next door. Never seems like enough workers there. Glad there is a pharmacy and such, but you don't even sell condoms in the aisle anywhere. You should never put your religious beliefs into your items.

THE GOOD: It's nice to finally have a supermarket serving Marlette. From what I can see, they have a nice variety of foods, produce, hardware and more. With that said, I did notice that there were some products that they didn't have, but give them time, and I'm sure they will accommodate whatever people's needs are.THE BAD: Too soon to tell.FINAL WORD: Don't forget to continue to patronize Country View Bulk Store in Snover. They are one of the Thumb's finest gem's of a family-owned business providing exceptional customer service, and offering items that you can't find anywhere else. I hope Bens is here to stay and I trust that Ben (whoever he is) is going to be a positive force in this community, supporting other businesses to grow and prosper. Ben's in Brown City, shame on you for not following the state-mandated mask rule during COVID-19 80% of customers I seen were a total DISREGARD for THE FACEMASK RULE, and children as well Totally appalling, EMPLOYEE stated to another she had a nightmare she caught COVID and died, I'll bet it's because most customers don't wear masks. Again appalling!

The staff is always so rude, everything is over-priced. If you ask for help getting paint or cutting cable it’s like you’re asking the employee to cut their arm off. I hate going in there, I try to avoid it as much as possible.
