The South Lyon location is my go-to place for everything I need to keep my place looking and operating efficiently. My Delta faucet works superbly with the repair kit I got with their efficent assistance. Customer service is their number one quality. 😊

Mike and Tom are fantastic. Exceptional customer service… TOP NOTCH.They assembled and delivered a grill for me. I had issues with a sticker from the grill taking off paint as I peeled it off, they took the stickers off of the replacement grill for me.I highly recommend doing business with this store due to the friendly and professional manner that these gentlemen exhibit.

Stopped in for little part I needed for my lawn sprinkles. When I arrived I couldn't find the part. I spoke with the person at the register who tried to find my part without success. She called a plumbing person to help me find the part. After much searching and trials, we finally found the part I needed. I gave the. 4/5 because their though their system advised the part was in inventory, we had to look high and low to find it. They need to clean up the shelves more frequently.

I really wish they had more selection in regards to gardening. The tools are there but they are a bit pricey. Willing to pay a bit more for a more local place-- if they had what I needed. There used to be an outdoor area and an entire garden plant/shrub/tree/flower area. There were even sculptures and bird baths. Its really sad to see it this way. Id love to shop here more often and avoid big box stores at every turn. I've recently been to other locations and the problems are NOT company wide. Awesome job in Highland near Duck Lake. On and beyond what I expected to see walking in there.

Mike was wonderful to work with on our recent EGO 0 turn mower purchase!! First of all, these mowers have been anxiously awaited for arrival to ACE (they are a licensed distributer to EGO) I have been waiting for them to arrive for 2 months, they are a hot item! The other day I saw that several of the local Great Lakes Ace stores had them in stock, so I called over to the Brighton store and spoke with Mike about getting a look at one. Mike told me that since most ACE stores are small, the chance of finding a store that had a model display was kinda slim, but he also understood that its an expensive purchase to make without even seeing an actual mower, so he went above and beyond...he located a store that had one on display! My husband and I drove over to their Grand Rapids location to check it out, I know that its crazy to drive 2 hours away, but I needed to see this machine before I could commit to buying it. Needless to say, I ended up coming back to Mike to make the purchase, I wanted his store to get credit for the item, and in person he was such a delight to work with! You can tell he really loves his job and his staff was great too, a family vibe!Over in Grand Rapids at the ACE store, we worked with a gentleman named Dale in their EGO dept. and our experience with him was amazing as well! He went over all the gadgets and goodies and answered our questions backed with over 30 years lawn sales experience, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better overall experience between both locations!!UPDATE...7/26/21I love the mower!! I have so much fun using it, my neighbors think its so quiet and they are quite amazed at the quality job it does on my lawn! So far, I am extremely happy with the purchase and I encourage others to look into battery powered lawn tools by EGO.

The people at Great Lakes Ace Hardware have always been very helpful. I was in the store on May 27th and was looking for a 12 pack of HTH pool shock that ACE had in their ad and they were out. Mike and his teammate sold me what they had for the price of the 12 pack. Great customer service!

Nice crew that helps you find anything you need, I've had a car key cut by them, picked up household cleaners, and even heavy duty lawn spray when I try to get rid of summer bugs. This place is pretty well organized too. The floors feel a little grimy/dusty at times tho. But, if you think you need to go to Home Depot down the road for something, I suggest stopping in here to see if they can help you first.

Excellent, well-stocked store with something for everyone. I was shopping for a 100' outdoor power cord with 12 gauge wire to run a 15 amp electric snow blower. They had several in stock and at the lowest price of the many other stores I checked.The customer service here was excellent. I wish I could have spent more time here, but needed to be elsewhere. I will definitely be returning to "browse" for other bargains. I also want to mention this store was well organized and spotless.....great shopping experience!!

Was in the store for a few things today. The girl who helped me took me right to them, made two keys for me, and I was out of there quickly. My kind of store. This store is on point. I originally purchased a Liberty Centurion 12 gun safe online and discovered one of the dimensions were off. The store immediately accepted the safe back, and I decided to size up to the Liberty Centurion 24 gun safe. The manager price matched the cost of the safe which was absolutely appreciated.The store manager is about business, taking care of his employees, and customers all at the same time. You don't often get the privilege of seeing this level of great managment but when you do it's refreshing. Keep up the great work Ace Hardware!

Stopped in this store a week ago as it is very close to my home and I needed to replace a garbage can that the wind blew away after garbage pickup, looked as I might could not find that silly old plastic garbage can in any any of my neighbor's yards. So I drive to the store, I needed the assistance of a worker as I tried several lids and non fit the can. He called over the female manager and asked her where they might be. She tried all the ones that I just went thru and no they did not fit, I told her I just tried 10 and they don't fit. She left a min or so and came back from the back storage room with a lid that worked. I asked her in a sorta joking way because all the cans had stagnant water in them, surely they were from last year being left outside, could they give me a courteous 10 % off as more stores would have done. She said outright no! Yes I know I am putting garbage into this can when I return home but when you purchase something new should it not be so? I didn't want to drive elsewhere so I bought it, did leave a sour taste in my mouth. No pun indented , as the foul water I dumped into another already reeking can, I walked down the isle with my purchase to the register. Was I in the wrong for thinking I should have got a buck off? I needed a can of spray paint that had both paint and primer. There were three brands. I chose the cheapest since las st time I used there most expensive. I knew Ace had much of what I usuas lly needed so I go there first before hauling over to home depot. Th eff customer reps are always friendly and know exactly where products are. I have no problems with their name brand products as well. I spend less time there . It's a win-win situation going there.
