Always a wonderful atmosphere when we visit in the winter. The service is excellent and we enjoy walking around the grounds and enjoying a few meals in the on-site restaurants. The rooms are always clean. The soaps provided in the bathroom smell absolutely amazing. The mattresses always seem semi firm with comfortable linens. I wish they had some firmer pillows as they're down and completely flatten as you lay on them. We've visited a few restaurants and have always enjoyed the nice atmosphere and live music when we can. Everything is very accessible and close to the main lodge if you're wanting to walk from your room to a restaurant or bar. The pizza is amazing from the trophy room.Rooms: The rooms are always clean. Decent location. One million and two fees to just book a room. Front desk takes 40 minutes to check you in and finish paying for reservation. Rooms are expensive, dated and do not include water park passes. Door lock was very sensitive, my not even 2 year old could open the hotel door and walk out easily. Even with the top chain lock on, she could still easily open the door and smash her fingers. So that was a concern. We had to put a chair in front of the door. The view out the window is alright, nothing crazy. Nothing really even to see. Geese were all around the pond, the balcony was covered in bird poop.

A lot of cancelled activities made our visit kind of a bummer. Ice skating and tubing were 2 activities we really wanted to do, both were cancelled. We had horseback riding scheduled and got a phone call as we were walking to the experience that it was cancelled. Three in our party paid for a full day of skiing only to ski for an hour and a half due to slushy snow that made it hard to ski. The water park is over priced for what it is. The pool is super small and only available to certain guests who are staying in the main lodge, not the guests in other condos and villas. Other guests have access to the clock tower pool, which is outdoor only.Hiking was fun, food was good. Staff was friendly. Overall, we wouldn't come back.

The rooms are very old and could use some updating. But the service and location is great. The whole area has tons of restaurants and things to do it's convenient. The skiing here is great. I like that most of their trails stay open late. During the summer the mountain and stunning. There is a lot of outdoor activities from horse back riding, ziplining, biking etc.

Had some issues in our room and called the front desk and was told " well, things happen " in a snippy and condescending tone. While I understand "things" happen, he could have been more professional about it considering we pay ALOT to stay there. We are looking at other accommodations for our next stay.

Fantastic place for a new adult skier! This was my first time skiing since an unsuccessful initial attempt as a young adult, and I could not have asked for a better experience! There are plenty of beginner-friendly runs, the rental process was efficient and straightforward, and there are a variety of lessons available to get you going.I had a 2-hour private lesson with Greg, and I would 100% recommend him to any new adult skier! He was kind and patient, meeting me where I was, giving helpful and specific feedback, and encouraging me to build on my skills as we went. A 2-hour lesson gave us plenty of time to get through the basics, do some runs on the bunny slopes, and do multiple runs on Boyneland. I was anxious at the start but with Greg's instruction and encouragement I was skiing confidently at the end of our lesson. I cannot recommend Greg enough to any beginner skier!

Took the family down there, it was our first time. We lodged in a 7-12 person condo. We had a great time everybody was friendly. The food was good especially the 40 Acres Tavern wings! We did a little skiing for the first time the personal trainer definitely helped us to get an understanding. Last we went to the indoor water park which included three tube slides.

A favorite for sure. While we were housed at Blue Green Vacation properties, they garnished us with free lift tickets and 50% off at local wineries for my mom and Aunt. The heated pool was amazing and was warmer than the hot tub. April is the 'off-season', but tons of skiing and boarding happening. The favorite spot was the SkyBridge, a must-see and do!

It's not the same Boyne I remember, and they seem a bit behind the times. After spending $115 per ticket, we couldn't really ski on Friday with every single snow blower going. That made for a little better snow on Saturday and it was a beautiful day. However, it took forever to get through the ticket line with only 10 people in front of us, so we got a late start. I've been skiing for 50 years, but my cousin's family flew in from Atlanta for their first ski trip ever. We suggested they take a private lesson together, which they did. After spending a ton of money, they said it was a horrible experience getting stuck with a guy that yelled at them to pay attention and do what he does. They are tech savvy, so they bought their lift passes online and said it was about as slow as the ticket line we waited in. We had lunch at the base of the hill outside on a picnic table. It was pricey, but decent. I do like the apres ski environment and party vibe, but the music was so loud it was hard to hear each other talk. I wasn't offended by all the hip hop f'bombs in the music being played, but my guess is other families with small children were. It was nice to get some turns in last weekend, but to us it wasn't worth the money they charge, especially for the service we received. It doesn't cost much more to go out west for the real deal, so I recommend passing on Boyne.

Super amazing place to spend with your family. Prices aren't too bad for the rooms, but I definitely wouldn't recommend buying much food and drinks there as they are very overpriced. Make sure to pack drinks for the room and snack. Wait times aren't long for any of the ski lifts. They have great views and the service is very nice everyone is kind. The best part might have to he the pool that's outdoors it's a very great experience. The indoor waterpark is also very nice. Not very big, but still a great experience, although they did say the water would be heated. It was very cold, and the food is very very expensive. 15 dollars for 4 tenders and a drink. No fries. Overall I highly recommend this place for a trip with a family or significant other.

What an excellent experience! Everyone was really nice and helpful, my only gripe is that our room was full of mold around all the corners, around the window, I have a violent mold allergy and figured even if we changed rooms there's a high chance it would have been the same. The worst part is, is that they almost certainly will not treat it properly. Other than that, it was such a great experience and had the best time ever

We stayed in the adjoining cottages. 3 bedroom, 5 beds and 3 baths. Perfect setting for a family gathering. Our grands skied for the first time. Snow making underway continously. Close to Petoskey. Despite technical issues with tubing and the indoor pool facility, plenty to do.Rooms: Master with jet tub, 3rd bedroom on loft with hallway bathroom. No laundry facilities on site. Condo had 2 TVs with cable access. Wi-Fi spotty.Nearby activities: Outdoor pool and sauna. Slopes: skiing and snowboarding. Pony rides nearby and close to Petoskey with beaches and Lake Michigan access.Walkability: Sidewalks throughout adjoining complex.

This place is going DOWNHILL quick. Outdated except for the prices. Main chair broke down while overcharging for tickets. $55 when others are $30 end of season. Outdated bathrooms are beat up as are the shops and grounds. Old and tired vs Cabrefe and Crystal. Overcharging 🤮 Used to be great here but no more. Terrain park is good 👍

Boyne Mountain Resort is an amazing spot in Michigan, perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy nature and have a fun time. I visited last fall and it’s beautiful ! They got rooms for everyone on budget but will sell out quickly so better to book online in advance ! they got few of places to eat and if you want to check out the local area, Boyne City is super close, just a 10-minute drive away, with more places to eat and stay. This place is also great for skiing in the winter. I can’t wait to go back this fall!Nearby activities: Skybridge MichiganFood & drinks: 10 mins to Boyne city for food or hotels

Been coming here yearly for over 30 years. Don't know what happened this year but the quality of service for their guests and hospitality has gone down significantly. This trip was a true let down and since there was something at every single restaurant, bar, store, activity, adventure that went wrong I don't know if I can recommend people to vacation here anymore. The whole facility has raised prices and started charging for things they never used too. For example, the magic carpet run for learning skiiers/boarders used to be free. It cost us $91 for 1 day now. Child 0-5 were $1 and adults were $45. This I found ridiculous as my child is 3 and trying it for the 1st time which we knew would last maybe 30 minutes. I'm not skiing but walking with my kid to help them learn but yet I get charged a full rate now?Upon check in, our room was double booked. What??? That's right, had a reservation made 8 months ago and the day of our arrival they booked another guest in our room. What made it ever more frustrating is they didn't tell us the room was double booked or of any issue until after they charged me over $500 on my card for they stay which they said would take 7-10 days to refund. They did find another room but come on, what's the point of a reservation and paid deposit if you're going to overbooked it anyways. You're not an airline. The only good experience I had was the arcade on our last night but, even that was ruined by an interaction I overheard (as it was right next to me) between an ignorant manager and other guests. I've written other reviews on specific places which used to be highlights of these annual trips, for more details.I will probably return next year to give Boyne Mtn a final try, but if it's the same experience or worse than this year, I'll spend my money somewhere else.Rooms: Rooms are OK. They haven't remodeled in years. I would think by now they would have a wet dry area in every room for boots and boards or skis, etc. This would keep the room from developing mold. Also they tend to have dehumidifiers so large for some rooms it could dry meat in a day. Had to sleep with a wash cloth over my face and run steamy showers every morning to counter act the dryness. Wasn't plesent for someone who's not only allergic to mold but also suffers from athsma.Walkability: You can walk to everything, but the grand lodge is set a bit away from the hill, so it's a walk when wearing and carrying equipment.Food & drinks: Food and drinks are overpriced, but that's expected. It always has been. I highly recommend bringing as many snacks and dinners you can from home or eating away from the Mtn.

I love the fall colors here. It’s beautiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious but old and needs updating. It’s expensive but definitely charming. Do if you don’t want to stay at the resort, just stop by and hike up the mountain or ride up and go on the bridge. Highly recommend in the Fall about mid October.Food & drinks: The restaurant in the lobby was not all that great especially the flavors were bland. But as you know I’m persnickety and a food snob. We ordered sushi and fish.

Took a Skiing Lesson for beginners with Greg and OMGosh, he was the BEST ever. So patient. So kind. Really gave us a step by step breakdown and we just adored him so much. You can tell he is so passionate about his work and loves being there. We are a queer couple and this man was 70 something...(I asked LOL) and SO sweet to us. Didn't make us feel any type of way AT ALL. Loved him.Safety: Made us feel so safe and welcomeNoteworthy details: We LOVE Greg

This corporation has turned into a money Hungry nightmare!I have been going here for 25 plus years, but it is no longer of interest to myself or my family due to the constant price increases and absolute lack of quality increase with those prices.Unless something changes, we will be going to other places to ski and spend our money.

Came during early November, so it was way slower than if we came during the busy season. Came for a romantic weekend getaway and was not disappointed! Good restaurants, service, and atomosphere! Rooms are incredibly clean. We upgraded to a room with a soaker tub and it was clean and roomy enough for two. Help yourself to the robes in the closet before heading down to the pool! Where you’ll find a delightfully warm indoor/outdoor pool and two outdoor hot tubs!

Traveled to Boyne Mountain from Metro Detroit. About 3.5 hour drive 1-75 North. Easy directions to the site. Lodging facility Alphabet Bld "R".Close to Grand Lodge check-in and restaurants.Friendly counter clerks.Dinner with 12 family members at the Everette Resturant. Pricy food items. The food was bland and lacked seasoning. Our children's chicken strips cooked crisp and hard to bite into. The male waiter/server was energetic & friendly working fast to accommodate our table and others (I was amazed at how he got our multiple orders right). We were all disappointed thatBoyne Mountain charged high prices for everything beyond living quarters. The water park is a scale down version & should be offered free in booking packages. The Alphabet bldgs are old in need of repairs. Old carpet, outdated kitchen appliances, outdated cabinets, kitchen and bathrooms, water faucets sputter waters with noisy pipes when turned on in any bathroom. I realized that Boyne is 75 years old.It was crowded this past weekend, perhaps due to the heavy snow storm in Michigan, so it got pretty crowded with excited skiers capturing perhaps the last big opportunity to ski in heavy snow. The shuttle service to and from living quarters was fast...and Free!Boyne was kid friendly with lots of Pre-Easter activities such as face painting, balloon art, etc.
