The staff at Dogtopia is FANTASTIC! They are extremely professional and very kind. They welcomed our new pup to their facility literally with open arms, which immediately won over our nervous puppy and it eased our nerves, too. They’re also accommodating and thorough in their process. They made sure our puppy was fully vaccinated (there was an error on our paperwork from the Vet that they caught) ensuring she would be safe for herself and for others at Dogtopia. And to boot, the facility is so clean and welcoming! Our Vet recommended a different doggy daycare in the area and to be blunt, it was quite gross upon entering the facility - not at all a welcoming environment. For all these reasons and more, we would highly recommend Dogtopia of Birmingham!

I am so thankful that we found Dogtopia of Birmingham. After doing days of research on different facilities, I decided to do the 'Meet and Greet' with Dogtopia. I am so glad that I did. We adopted a very nervous pittie mix, and the staff has been so kind to her since day one. They are helping her come out of her shell, and really realize that humans are good. The facility is nice, and clean. The staff knows her name when she is dropped off & picked up. It really is the little things! Thank you Dogtopia.Love,Zuma and Madison

I have been taking my black german shepherd pup to Dogotpia in Birmingham for a few months now and I couldn't be happier! I was concerned at first they would deny him attendance to daycare due to stereotypes behind the type of breed he is. But they welcomed him with open arms after he passed his trial day! Everyone is so warm and welcoming and my boy is TIRED and happy once I pick him up at the end of the day. Would definitely recommend Dogtopia for any dog/breed/temperament!.

Amazing dog loving staff, clean rooms that are based on dog size. Going to dogtopia has been absolutely beneficial for my dog. He loves going there! Love the cute photos they do every month!

Ashley and Michael are exceptional at their jobs. They were kind and patient with Saylor and gave me a full report after her first day at Dogtopia. I trust them with Saylor 100% I love how the entire dog rooms are open and the kennels for their down time are in the same room and open so the dogs can see each other. It reminds me of kindergarten when the little kids go down for nap time... super cute. of course, Saylor was the last one to be put in her kennel as she is a full time party girl and doesn't think she needs a nap. The facility is clean, does not have a weird smell like some other doggie daycares, and the parking lot makes for an easy drop off and pick up. I overall love Dogtopia and the staff that I have met so far! AND most importantly, Saylor loves it too!

Updating my review:A few months ago, we had an incident where one of the workers was unnecessarily physical with our dog and we saw it on camera. We had been taking our dog here consistently over the last year. He loved all of the staff, other dogs, playtime, etc.We were able to speak with the manager to get more information on what happened. After talking it though, we decided to bring our dog back, and he has been loving it since.All of the staff is extremely friendly, and always seem happy when I bring my dog in.

We love Dogtopia because it feels like a real ‘daycare’… not a warehouse or kennel, and this was important to us. We’ve been bringing our puppy since he was old enough to socialize. Staff is always friendly- remembers our dog’s name, how he ate/played that day, and we’ve caught snuggles on the camera. Center is clean and homey. Hours are accommodating. Scheduling app is easy to use. Price is slightly higher compared to other centers, but worth it.

The cleanliness, the webcam and the friendly staff. Bear is new to Dogtopia, he has had 2 - 8 hour play days thus far. So far is been great, Bear seems happy.

Love that my dog spends most of the day out of the crate playing with other dogs and I can check in on the webcams. Staff is great, drop off/pickup is fastest I’ve seen. Dog comes home tired and acting like an angel.

I love that the staff is very friendly, welcoming, and easy to talk to. Since the process to join Dogtopia is thorough, I can tell that A: they know dogs, and B: my dog will be well cared for. We've done the daytime care a few times and also boarding once. Each time it was a success and I could tell my dog had a good time. I also love they have Web Cams so you can check in on your pooch pretty much anytime!While it is a little on the pricey side... for us, it was worth it for our dog to attend! Whether once and a while or if we're going on a trip, we'll definitely be back!

My 1 year old Beagle LOVES Dogtopia of Birmingham. I don't take her daily, but probably 5 times per month on days I know I'm going to have to work late or have other things going on and dont have the time to exercise and have playtime with her myself. And sometimes just for no reason at all because she has such a great time there. I also use them for boarding when I go out of town. The staff does a really great job and you can tell they care greatly about the dogs in their care. Their themed photos are great, and the sets the staff creates are awesome.

My 8 month puppy has been going to Dogtopia for about 4 months and absolutely loves it! She is running into the door and is greeted by a staff member whose equally as exited to see her and knows her by name! The theme days and the photos are adorable! I also love that I can check in to see her during the day and watch her play! Best of all I get a happy & sleepy puppy because she played all day vs her being in her crate everyday all day.

My 5 month old puppy has been frequenting Dogtopia Birmingham for the last month. He always comes back tired and ready for sleep after getting a ton of playtime with his buds. The staff has always been welcoming and considerate. I felt comfortable calling a few times during the first couple of daycare days to see how my puppy was doing and I could always get a hold of someone easily.I would feel a bit more comfortable if the requirements included a negative Giardia test and the Lepto vaccine but as far as the experience is concerned, it has been great!

We've been very happy with Dogtopia. Socializing a dog is not easy these days - they're not allowed off leash except in very controlled situations - the rare dog park here and there. I love that our young lab is able to play with a lot of dogs here and learn from those interactions. We take him to Dogtopia a couple times a week, and I think we all benefit from those visits - he gets to romp and play, and we get to do things without him without guilt. The staff is great, they seem to truly love dogs and seem happy to be there.

My dog is very nervous and shy when placed in a new situation. The staff at Dogtopia are patient and loving with him. We are going to make this at least a weekly, if not more often, part of the routine to help my dog learn how to socialize and play with other pups. I just love that you all know my puppy by name when you see him, he is always sooo excited to come to day care and you all keep him check when he needs it. And all the little holiday parties and photos are so sweet. The place is always clean and no bad smells considering there's a ton of dogs there. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating.

I send my dogs here at least once a week. They love it and come home exhausted! They’re very reliable and I know my dogs are in good hands here. :) We love watching them on the web cams and getting pictures from parties. It has been an amazing experience overall and we’ve been going here for almost three years! ❤️

The services are great and the building is kept clean and tidy, but for me, it's all about the terrific people at Dogtopia. Michael and Ashley are so welcoming and make everyone feel like today is the best day and your dog is going to have a great time. They are responsible, kind and make the drop off and pick up super easy.

We love Dogtopia, and our 1 year old St. Bernard loves it even more! We bring our pup here to play with friends periodically and have left him for boarding when we went on vacation recently. So happy to have found a reliable and safe place to leave our dog. Always a great experience and highly recommend. :)

I was not satisfied with my dog second visit to Birmingham Dogtopia. I drop Mu off Friday a week ago at 11am and picked him up about 5:45 pm. He was wheezing, coughing, and vomited there in the lobby. I had to take him to vet ( upper respiratory infection). He exhibited none of these symptoms before. I called the office and was told it was kennel cold and may have resulted from this time of year and number if dogs kept in the room at Dogtopia.

I can't speak to Dogtopia as a nationwide chain, but the team at this location does an excellent job. The staff here clearly make it a point to remember names - by the third or fourth time you come to pick up your dog, there's a good chance they'll have recognized your car from the parking lot and already have someone getting your dog ready to leave. I've used other daycares in Oakland County, and they all feel far more transactional and impersonal.Overall Dogtopia Birmingham does a great job of managing the customer experience and hiring the right folks - you know your dog is being looked after by a quality group of people and they make the pick-up/drop-off experience seamless.

I came in with my puppy for an evaluation. My dog is a bulldog and is a year and a half old and very playful. They bring the dog into a room full of stampeding dogs… while this is occurring my dog is trying to interact with everyone. I watched on screen as I saw how playful and happy he was. This was a 10 min process after which the guy told me my dog was aggressive and had some questionable behaviors. I strongly disagree and I was actually offended. I’m right down the street so it would have been perfect for my puppy… but i’ll never go back again just seeing how unprofessional & Disorganized it was.

We have been sending our dog to Dogtopia for a couple years now. When we have boarded him, almost every time we have picked him up, he was sick days later, or had eye infections. Last I picked him up, his eyes were both swollen and were infected. We were not notified of this during his stay. This happened the time previous as well. This has cost us a lot of money in vet bills. As watching on the camera when Brody was in, I noticed pee all over the floor, and the workers just casually take a mop and move it around, or wait too long to clean it, as I watched my dog and others step in pee more than a few times. Because of the uncleanliness I have witnessed on camera as well as my dog's eye infections, unfortunately we are taking business elsewhere. Staff has always been nice and welcoming though!

Walked in for our 'appointment' and we were seven minutes late due to a ton of construction in the area. I haven't been to Birmingham in a long time, wasn't aware of the construction. Seven minutes late for them to just meet my dog, and the woman behind the desk gave me a major attitude. The people working couldn't have been less enthusiastic about meeting my dog. I knew there had to be a better place, so we walked out. I can't say enough about All American Pet Resort in Royal Oak. The people there are so nice, and seem to love dogs, what a concept! My dog LOVES it there! ❤️

Scarlett thoroughly enjoys her time here playing with all the other great pups that visit. The staff is attentive and when issues are brought to their attention, they are quick to respond. Amanda is always cheerful and greets us with a smile when I'm dropping off Ms Scarlett. Would highly recommend Dogtopia of Birmingham to others looking for a safe and attentive environment for their pup.
