I hate to give this pharmacy a low review because it used to be very organized, friendly and on top of everything. I have been waiting over a week for my medication. I've constantly had to call between the doctor's office and pharmacy because the pharmacy claimed there was not a DEA number on the script. Then they changed their explanation and said there was a DEA number, but they said they needed a supervising physician's DEA number. They were informed by my doctor's office that they were mistaken and did not need the supervising physician's DEA since my script is not a narcotic. The meijer Rx app notified me that it was finally filled and ready for pickup at 4pm today. I got here an hour later and found out it was canceled! (For the same reason that they would not fill it the first time!) The link to where it said it was filled had expired and no one had bothered to call me before I drove here to pick up my medication. The Meijer Rx app didn't notify me that it would no longer be ready either. Not filling it, filling it, then putting it back was very wishy washy and I don't have time to mess with this for my refills that I will need. I will unfortunately probably be switching pharmacies. I try to be patient and understanding of mistakes because I know this job is hard....but I used to work in a pharmacy and I know how this one is being run isn't acceptable. Please get it together, Meijer.

My 1 year old son is on a medication that he needs to prevent seizures. Every time I tried to reorder this medication they told me it was too soon to reorder. The script is a 30 day supply. The medicine is good for 7 weeks once opened. It doesn't matter how long it's good for the script says 30 days. The insurance company told me to order it every 30 days. They won't let me reorder until 7 weeks is up. So what happens if it's on backorder? My son goes without medication that prevents him from having seizures. This has been going on for a year. When i finally said something i got a very insincere apology.

My family has been using this pharmacy for years, at least 10 years. If we have any issues with insurance, etc, they're usually very quick to correct the situation. We will continue going to this pharmacy as long as we live in the area. Thanks!!

I’d give them a zero if I could. I have been treated so poorly by all of them. Days and days you wait for a script and when your prescription has been called in or you NEED it on time, they make you feel like garbage. I could write a few paragraphs but they’re not worth my energy. I’ll now drive 20 minutes completely out of my way to go somewhere I’m treated like a human.

The only time I have waited for a prescription is when the manufacturer was out or in route. Yes I did check Walmarts Pharmacy..Great pharmacists they really know what they are doing. 10 stars here.. They saved me as my doctors gave me 2 counteracting meds and they caught it ..Thanks Nick !

This pharmacy is the slowest to fill prescriptions of any pharmacy I have ever felt with. The employees have the attitude that they have to take time to get it right. That does not help when you are sick and are forced to wait a day or two to fill your scripts.

I don't know why so many people are upset with this pharmacy. I've never had any problems with them. If you go to a busy pharmacy, during a busy time of the day or week, you are going to have to wait in line a long time. That's just common sense and the people who work here cannot change that. They are always nice, friendly and the pharmacists are always willing to answer your questions. I've never had an issue getting my prescriptions refilled, the text messages are very convenient. I have also never had an issue with my insurance. Most medications I've had to get from here were also free (antibiotics, prenatal vitamins, magnesium). I would highly recommend using them, especially if you mainly shop at meijer.

Very very slow. There's no reason for it to take two days for a prescription to be filled once your physician calls it in. Walmart is just as cheap if not cheaper takes less than half the time it is equal distance. Better yet pay a small amount more and support one of the local drug stores. They actually appreciate your business Meijer does not care about you you're just a dollar sign.

Pretty frustrated here. I dropped off a script nearly 2 weeks ago. During the drop off, the man then realized it was back ordered and said they'd call me, but it should be in in just a couple of days.. Cool, no big deal. A few days pass and I hear nothing, so I log into the Meijer pharmacy app and it said it should have been filled on a day that was in the past. I called in and they said it was still back ordered and that they had no idea when it's coming in, they are not even able to order it from the manufacturer. No one called to let me know. Sweet.Communication needs to be better.Otherwise I don't have to interact with anyone, really. My doctors handle new scripts and I pick them up. Refills are handled within the app.Edit* Changing to another pharmacy for good. Today (6-8-19) was the last straw. I picked up a single medication at the drive thru window, a prescription I have picked up many times before and from the same woman. After giving her my full name and date of birth as asked she proceeds to ask if I had any questions about ______ prescription. She said the drug name. I had someone in the car with me!! This is a prescription with a negative connotation. Not only that, but she has no business using the medication name while people walk behind my freaking car to enter the store. They can clearly hear the speaker. She has done this to me twice now. The first time she asked if it was a pick up for the "name here”. The only medication I fill.... I'm done with this mess of a pharmacy. I will be reporting this HIPAA violation.Perhaps this woman takes issue with this medication, I don't know, but I'm done. Meijer pharmacy hasn't been a good place to manage scripts for awhile now.Please go elsewhere if you care about your privacy. Other pharmacies are more likey to treat you with dignity and respect your privacy.Obviously, this review is not posted under my real name.

If I could give less than one star I would. This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They are slow, I mean let’s work on getting a prescription for a sick child out in the same day... Or better yet, check to see if you have it before you tell me come back in 2 hours, just to tell me that you do not have it. I could look past all of this if i was treated like a real person, but that’s too much to ask... If you’re going to be bad at your job, at least be nice. Don’t be bad at it and rude.

I'm so thankful for meijers. They remind me when it's time to refill my medicine, they are very helpful with questions I have. The staff are professional and friendly.

Tells us they didn’t have meds for my daughters daily meds. Then we say will call it in somewhere else and we will travel Then all of a sudden they have it 1 hr wait. After the dr called it in 6 hrs ago. Meijer pharmacy Birch run has went downhill. Won’t be going back

My husband gets a prescription filled every five-ish weeks and we’ve never had an issue. We’ve accidentally had it sent to the wrong store before and they fixed the issue quickly!

I go because the mperks ,they are getting very slow and the newer young workers chit chat too much so line moves slow at pharmacy,customer service is getting bad used to be be great. The newer ppl dont seem to like their job and the customers. I didnt pick a script up so it was put back. So I go and ask for it to be filled a week latter.the girl says ,no ,you have to wait you just got It last week. I said I didnt puxk it up took her 10 minutes to figure out and look it up and see that I sidnt pick it up she acted annoyed at me! Lol really! The only reason I go to meijer pharmacy is the m perks now

Went to fill a script that wasnt ready for a few hours. Told to come back. When coming back, they said they were out and their solution was to come back 2 days later. It was a post surgery prescription and needed that day. Dont risk going to this pharmacy.

I switched birth controls and meijer accidentally cancelled the new one instead of the old one. When I went to pick it up they told me that "my doctor had called and cancelled it" and there was nothing they could do except call my doctor to try and get it resolved. I tried calling meijer for three days in a row and finally had to call my doctor instead and was told they had never spoken with any pharmacist about cancelling my new prescription. With all of my troubles I was never given an apology

I have a sick child in the car and one sleeping so I go through the drive through. My window doesn't roll down so put one foot out of my car and the pharmacy woman tells me to sit down in my car. I could not reach their window unless I stood up. They are rude and unprofessional.

Horrible no personal service. If you call in a script for a refill or drop one off. Even if you drop it off when they open. They will not have it ready until the next day. This place have more policy than what the FDA in how they operate.

Horrible customer service! I had an issue with a script due to missing info from doctor. And the employee was dismissive and very blank. Gave no solution or a word help!! I try to use meijers pharmacy as little as possible!

Why is everyone so miserable here? I get that it must suck working at a pharmacy in a grocery store for minimum wage but would it kill you to fake it once in a while? Terrible customer service.
