I will start with the positives the customer service rep male with curly hair was absolutely kind and helpful. The cashier around 7 I believe she was amazing even when she asked how my experience was and I told her it wasn’t great she apologized that I was dissatisfied. A worker in the soap aisle greeted me and was kind. There were 3 employees that gave me a HORRIBLE experience. The appliance worker acted as if I was bothering her for asking for her help. The gate lady was the absolute worst I wanted to go in behind a party I was with to try and get an appliance I purchased and when I tried to go after the party she said only one car can cross at a time and I kept trying to get her attention to go in but she walked away and went inside the booth and completely ignored me. I’ve always had good experiences going to Menards in all different states but I will not be returning back to this Menards with the horrible customer service. I had my child with me in a stroller waiting to get inside the entrance gate and there was a guy helping the customer service rep and he looked at me and did not let me in and left. Are you serious? If you can go to the Menards in Muskegon!!!

Kylie in kitchen cabinetry was absolutely fantastic to work with. She really knew her stuff, answered a ton of my questions, and walked us through everything. If I could give her more stars, I would. She was wonderful.

We had a very bad experience with countertops at Menards. We ordered them and two weeks later they said the order was in. We went to pick up only to find two of three boxes. The manager of the Kitchen/Appliances Dept. made a phone call. One of the boxes was damaged either in shipping or before it shipped. So another one had to be made. Of the boxes we did get that day, the one with the sink hole did not have a sink hole cut out. Also one end cap was missing. I called yesterday about the countertop that had to be remade. They said it was in three days ago. I asked why we were not notified. They did not know.

1/3/24. Owner...... Perhaps you communicate with your employees via Email. Provide Correct customer service and have someone answer the phone behind the service desk at the front of the store. OR take out the counter and continue to NOT provide Customer Service PER phone con. T.Q.M. is not practiced evidently.I went into Menards a few times this month. NO 11 Percent Rebate anymore. Plus, the service desk doesn't answer the phone. WHY? You cannot contact them per phone con, cause the automated calling system doesn't allow you. What a waist of customer service.Ace, Big Rapids hardware, and Even Lowes you can talk to an actual person on the phone.

Well when you go to most stores like that you have what they call customer service and when there's just a counter and no people how do you get customer service and that includes the ones in the store that doesn't even ask if you're finding everything okay or if you need directions anywhere

I eventually found what I was looking for but it likely would have been much quicker had I found an employee that was able to point to or even take me to the product.(I should just get used to it, people say. “It’s the new normal”).Hmm… I’m not buying it! I like the “old normal” better, as in:“Good morning. Can I help you find something? Do you need any other assistance?” 😮 Wow! Yes, thank you.People will spend more where they are appreciated more. Simple.

We have Never had a worse experience. Customer service has DECLINED to nothing. Needed to order from service empty! Spent 10 minutes looking for help. .then where there use to be ppl working to help customer they were just riding around with little interest. We always came to Big Rapids because of service in and out of store. Even though it was farther. I think a reevaluation is needed. So dissatisfied.

Best and most professional service I've had, managing multiple custom countertop orders. McKaehla and Kylie saved me time, money, and corrected problems I was having with a competitor's poor service and delayed delivery times. Absolutely outstanding and thorough follow-up to ensure everything was correct. Menards in Big Rapids needs to be the place you go BEFORE you waste your time elsewhere.

Had a order pick up. The guy inside th back of the store never answered the phone we were told to call. I couldsee him looking at us.I had to go inside only to be talked to kind of snotty. He brings our refrigerator out to our trailer and sat on his skid loader telling my husband how to get the fridge onto the trailer. While my husband struggles,a man in a car next to us, gets out and helps him while the employee, being paid, just sits there.thank you to the unpaid man who helped my husband!

They messed up order, forgot to add all the stuff we asked them they lose are order receipt and ended up with more out of pocket because they didn't listen. Very poor customer service one kid says if you be nice to the hilo driver he may help you or maybe not. He was the only helpful person there the hilo driver should run the store.

Worst customer experience ever. Customer service is inexistent. I bought a lawn mower and it broke 10mn after starting. They would not even take it to check. I personally had to take to a service contractor. They were not helpful in any way. Selling bad products and not offering any service

Rented an insulation blower and purchased the insulation there also. Hooked it up dumped a n s bag of insulation to find out it doesn’t work. The auger and blower would not run at the same time, the switch was bad. Took it back, they refunded the $25 rental fee after calling me a liar and would not refund the wasted bag of insulation. I Do not recommend!

Typical home and garden improvement store, with some groceries such as can stuffs, hygiene products, frozen food and some drink products. They always has 11% rebates which is really good program that help save you some money. Staffs there are ok but compare to the same type of the store which the competition near by, their staff are more energetic and friendly.

*Update: May 2022:Still enjoy coming here. 😊 I've been visiting Lowe's for many years and been in many different stores; and never had a negative encounter with an employee. This visit I felt like I was bothering the employee. However, I realize (after working years in customer service myself) that we all have an "off" or bad day every once in a while. Not to mention..... Most places are short staffed, etc.... It did not reflect on the store in my personal opinions.. That's all.,..Have a beautiful and blessed day.Love this place!

I ordered special order siding and j- channel and was charged a packaging fee for 2 separate boxes. It was a full box of siding and a partial box of trim, so I agreed to the charges but then when the order came in they had stuffed the trim in the siding box which was already full, it was just a regular siding box. I had already paid them for 2 package charges so I was pretty disappointed to see that bulging torn box and asked for a packaging refund for 1 package to which I didn't get a very good response. What is wrong with this store? They're not what they used to be.We watched this store start out good but have went backwards since then.

I went with my husband to pick up building material with our children, I pulled my mask down because I was extremely hot. I passed numerous employees. Managers even spoke to me with my mask pulled down, not one mention of my mask. Jodi came up to me and instead of asking if I needed help finding anything or help in general, she went extreme disgruntle mode and had the entire store in an uproar because my mask was down. She had a crowd of customers watch her actions and I even had to tell her to calm down at one point, she was red faced. She told me she was going to have the police called and me taken out in handcuffs-right in front of my kids 7 and under. This all happened in a minutes time, it progressed very rapidly with her. My husband wasn’t near, and I’m positive she would not have acted like this had he been standing there. Her General manager Steve is aware of her behavior and I have had multiple apologies from employees, other managers and the customers watching her actions. Nothing manager-like came from her (she is a manager herself, sadly) I understand they have a mask policy but they are forgetting what customer service is and have started dividing people even more. There is a right and wrong way of doing things and Jodi enjoys power instead of being a kind person. As for the rest of the employees helping us, thank you, job well done!

Horrible customer service. Employees give wrong time-line information. We order a complete kitchen that cost $12K+. The cabinets were assembled horrible. When it came to the countertop we were told 2 weeks. Ended up being 7 weeks. After it was picked up and home it was discovered that it was cut wrong. Called the store immediately. Both manager and employees show horrible customer service to correct the problem. I've always used Menards for all my construction but no more after this experience!

Trying to explore the website and it kicked me out and told me I had to do additional verification where it makes you prove you're not a robot. I have done 100 different sets to prove I am not and it never lets me back in to the website..

Staff was very gracious and helpful in loading a very bulky purchase in our vehicle. Indoor staff also very helpful, it is refreshing to have people offering to help. Store is always clean and well stocked

If I could give zero stars I would. No one here has good customer service skills. Not a single person in their department can actually help me with the products within their department and their inventory is off (consistently) by about 20-53 Units per items! So after running around to 3 different stores after I was told they had what I needed I ended up with 0 of what I needed for myProject. Thanks menards!

I was in the Big rapids store this morning around 10 a.m., I was appalled to see one of your employees yell at an elderly woman about where the furnace filters were. The lady was looking for a specific kind of filter and with my husband's and my help we were able to find it. Your employee told this lady that the furnace filters were down the isle right in front of her face I didn't get the employees name, and wish I would have. I would have complained to the manager if I had gotten her name. Please have a chat with all of them and mention this particular post so that at least the employee that was so rude to one of your customers doesn't do it again. She'll know what I'm talking about, I actually said WOW as I walked by to help the elderly woman find her filter. It might have taken the employee 3 minutes to help her.

I would love to give negative stars. This was BY FAR the WORST experience I have EVER had in ANY store. And that is an understatement. I had to deal with several different associates and managers for a return that no one could seem to do correctly. The ONLY good customer service I experienced in this store were two gentlemen in the lumber yard. I had a cashier roll her eyes at me and make snide comments. Each associate I dealt with in this ordeal was very condescending and rude. No one (not even a manager) could figure out how to complete my return, so I finally asked "Why don't you just scan the original receipt?" after 10-15 minutes of watching them stumble over themselves ... lo-and-behold, that worked. Except, very suspiciously, somehow my return was never processed after I left the store, because my Menards credit card STILL does not show that the return was ever credited to me. AVOID THIS STORE BY ALL MEANS, and if you can't avoid it, you better hope you don't have to deal with a sales associate or a manager, or God forbid return anything. Also, as a disclaimer, I am NEVER one to be critical, judgmental, or write bad reviews, mostly because I have worked in retail and I know to have grace, but this experience was something for the books.

I usually love menards, never any problems...today I placed an order for pick up for wood pellets, I've been extremely sick and didn't want to go in the store, nor did I feel I had the energy to load these but...I have to keep my house warm...so I figured I would place the order online and come pick them up...the employees pointed them out and said when your done you can pull around and head out to the gate...I am no impressed that I had to load my order by myself...people order online for pick up for a reason! Need to fix your online order pick up process

Poor customer service dealing with the Menards card that would not read properly. Was told contact Capitol one, essentially not their problem.Cashier was friendly, customer rep however acted as if she had much more important things to do and very dismissive when asked if we could look into the issue for resolve.I have spent thousands at Menards for my projects with great results at other locations. Big Rapids store should reevaluate their standard if this passes for acceptable.
