One of my wife's favourite breakfast spots. We take lots of friends here. Staff relations is a bit of a mixed bag, and from the reviews here I see that to be a trend, as a business owner I do hope they try to work on that, but I love the spot and always like my meal. The pancakes are served as a side with most breakfasts and I recommend you get those over the toast. You will be happy you did. Great view of the lake if you are at the front table or outside. I recommend you stop by and give them a try!

I stopped by with my family and ordered corn beef hash with eggs 8ver easy, a fav of mine. When the food got to my table I was beyond disappointed. The eggs were over done and there was NO MEAT in my hash. When we talked to staff about it they were rude and expressed no concern over our complaint and refused a refund or credit for a future visit. Since it was paid in advance we were left with no other option but to leave with a promise of not returning.

Love going there for breakfast or lunch, good food and atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and it is an overall great place. Today however was a huge letdown. I ordered the BBQ beef sandwich and it was maybe the single most awful thing I have ever ordered anywhere. Hard to tell if it was beef as it was almost a pureed very thick texture. It was also so sweet that It tasted like it was candy and very little BBQ taste. Please Chef/Cook find a new recipe, or I can bring you one because that sandwich was nasty.

I took some out of town guests here. We all enjoyed our drinks and the friendly staff seemed to be working hard. Unfortunately, my friend (who ordered the corned beef hash) was quite disappointed. She threw away half her meal and said, "I think that's the worst corned beef hash I've ever had. There was hardly any meat in it and it smells like fish." 😳 It really wasn't what I was hoping for when taking my guests out. 😕I can see this is a small family-owned business, and I want to support their efforts in our community.I kindly suggest reviewing the quality control practices in the kitchen. (Also, the chicken on my salad seemed microwaved and was oddly cold and warm.)I appreciate you staying open during off season and having a coffee shop in the area. Best wishes to you as you continue to improve your business.P.S. Thank you for having gluten-free options!Dietary restrictions: Love that they have gluten free options like french toast!

One of the best coffee shops I’ve been too. This is because the menu they have is crazy long. They have ice cream, lunch foods, coffee, breakfast. I had an amazing omelet smothered in hot gravy and wow. The coffee drinks were HUGE. My cold brew was 40oz. Biggest I’ve ever seen. I am tourists with my partner and we had the best time. The LAKE MI is right there! The town is so cute and has the prettiest river!

Cold brew was fantastic. And available in 32 oz!! Plenty of non-dairy milk options and tons of flavors. Sassy pesto chicken was delicious. Comes with a pickle spear and chips which is always fun. Cute outdoor seating area with tables and umbrellas, trees and flowers, and dog friendly. Great view of the lake and awesome service!!So glad I stopped here :)Dietary restrictions: Plenty of options and they allow customizationsParking: About 8 spaces on the side street and a few right in front.

The best cold brew I’ve ever had, and some great biscuits and gravy as well! It’s not often you find that southern dish this far up north but it was a welcomed sight. The staff was very friendly and place was very clean and had a great atmosphere to it. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area for breakfast. It’s only a block from a beautiful view of the lake shore as well.

I am giving a 5 star review on the coffee! Our first stop every time we vacation up north is here for a sleeping bear latte. Highly recommend! It has vanilla, honey, and cinnamon. Their other flavors are great as well!We don’t normally get food here but they also serve some yummy icecream and baked goods.

I sat on the patio with my dog. The service was excellent even tho there was only one server. I had the Texas toast breakfast sandwich and it was super filling and delicious. The coffee was brewed to perfection. The atmosphere is really chill and friendly.

Great spot to grab a bite to eat! They have everything from coffee and baked goods to ice cream and full-on breakfast and lunches. They have a wide range of coffee options including flavors and special milks. I tried a raspberry mocha, the peach blackberry muffin, and the brownie (huge!). All were great! Don’t pass it over if you’re looking for some food

I LOVE the name and logo for the cafe! So happy to see a fellow public health professional running a cafe! I got the tears of joy tuna sandwich and it honestly was cause for tears of joy — I was so full when I finished it but I have no regrets! I can’t wait for if they sell stickers. Will be back to try more tasty goodies!!

One of the better Spots, It's no "Lighthouse Cafe" (FrankFrort-Frankfort Ave), but till The lighthouse opens on Wednesday, it will do just fine for a travelers breakfast. The toast was the memorable thing for me, Meh... Fat Matt

This was my first time. The service was great, and they have gluten-free options. The food was very good, there were a lot of unique and tasteful options. However, our service was very slow for being 2 of 6 people in the restaurant and only ordering soup and paninis

Horrible food. My spinach and feta omelette was just over cooked fried eggs with very little feta. An omelette should be fluffy and folded with ingredients, not a couple of eggs cracked on a flattop grill and ingredients tossed on it. The biscuits and gravy were absolutely horrible. There should not be garlic, let alone enough garlic to choke a horse in breakfast gravy. We had to wait 25 minutes for an 8 dollar cup of oatmeal because we could not choke down the gravy. Wonky indoor seating. Staff could not care less if we were there. Over priced even if it was good food. Very disappointed for a vacation breakfast while staying at sleeping bear dunes

I had a burger, chips, dill slice. Reasonable price, hamburger meat was fresh and a good size. Plus, I got a waffle cone with one scoop, beware it is one scoop they don't put ice cream down in the cone. Overall a nice place to get lunch, plus a nice outside area to eat when its nice outside.Wheelchair accessibility: Enough room to get a wheel chair inside. Not alot of seats, but plenty room with outside sitting area.

Ursa Major is one of the places we always stop by when we're here for vacation each summer! Delicious, well-made coffee and food! I'm a big latte fan and love the vanilla latte here. It gets crazy busy mid-morning, so the ideal time to go is in off hours. We've only had breakfast and drinks (and the delicious salted caramel chocolate chip cookie). Our favorite drinks are the iced vanilla latte, the Sleeping Bear latte, and the blackberry Italian soda. I adore the avocado toast with feta and delicious balsamic glaze (I add 2 egg whites). We ate out on the porch with our dog, so it's dog friendly!

Came here for breakfast before a hike. Looking for a quick breakfast. Had two “hit the spots” one with toast, one with pancakes. We had the lakeside skillet, order of large pancakes, cabin fever omelette. We were looking toward to the coffee since this has the look and feel of a coffee shop. Unfortunately the coffee was ok, nothing special. We had one specialty drink, cappuccino, which was average. Overall the food was ok but not great. The service was slow considering it was not a large order. The location has a quaint coffee shop feel. Pricing was a typical tourist pricing, high. We will most likely not come back to this location

This place serves a multitude of drinks. I've had Italian sodas and blended lattes, both were great. The staff is very friendly. Ursa Major has seating inside and outside.

My favorite part about traveling is discovering places like this. It's the perfect Michigan lake town coffee shop. Best coffee I've had in ages; after several years living overseas, I'm perpetually in search of a good pour. The barista knew exactly how to treat oat milk, and the ratio of milk to espresso was perfect.I also had the cabin fever omelet, which was delightful. The menu was surprisingly extensive and high quality for such a small town. Love the atmosphere, love everything about it.

Fantastic place to start off the day with. Staff was really friendly with good service. Latte I ordered tasted great. Omelette is well done and rather filling. Ordered the farmer's omelette with wheat toast. Though the toast slightly burnt but still awesome. Thumbs up! I will be back! 👍🏻👍🏻
