Nice little chain in the Leland/Sleeping Bear area. Not sure if it's kosher or not, but definitely tries to capture the essence of a Jewish deli. Bagels and cookies were great, sandwiches pretty good. I thought the meat was just 'deli case' instead of their own product, but it was still good taste and value. We had bagels from a couple of the locations, and will be back again!

Service was good. They offered outdoor menus and payment for those coming from the beach that didn’t have a mask to wear in store. I loved that it was a VERY easy walk from the beach. We just ordered our food and walked back and were able to enjoy our food at the beach. The gluten free wrap that you can have any sandwich with was good and didn’t fall apart like most do. Very yummy!

Great spot for bagels and sandwiches. I highly recommend the Jerusalem sandwich- a phenomenal vegetarian sandwich that I’ve tried to replicate at home myself on several occasions. The Beulah location is open thru the winter, whereas the Frankfort spot closes for the season. Highly recommend for lunch!

Not Jewish owned, not kosher FYI. BUT the food here is great! They are an awesome choice for breakfast or lunch! They have lox and bagels, they have vegetarian and vegan choices; they have something for everyone! They have the best Hummus I've ever eaten! Not a lot of places to sit and eat, expect a long line. I recommend ordering ahead and picking up your food.

Great selection of choices, but ours seemed a bit dry. Plenty of options and the ingredients seem to be top notch. Wish they had a grilled option on some of the sandwiches. Some good salads and cream cheeses.

Had a Turkey Sandwich which was pretty good, but they were out of lettuce and cheese. Their drink choice was few; no sodas. So, for turkey sandwich with tomatoes only I spent $16.

SUCH A TASTY LUNCH! We had a heavenly experience at the deli! The Oi Vey sandwich is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten! The bread was substantial, yet soft and the corned beef was so tender you could have cut it with a spoon. My wife had a vegetarian wrap (Syrian) that she was equally impressed with. If we lived close by, I’d eat here a lot. Looking forward to a return trip this summer. It will be on our list of MUST EATS!

We catered bagels and sandwiches for a small group. So professional and the food was outstanding. Best bagels I have ever had! They prepared a variety of finger type sandwiches which were very fresh and delicious. Great location too!!

Good bagels, nice selection of gourmet cheeses in the deli section for such a small town. The sandwiches and wraps are very delicious as well. Could use more staff on a Saturday, as during my last visit, the employees looked stretched very thin trying to manage orders, as well as trying to work with such a small prep space up front, but who couldn't use more staffing nowadays? Worth stopping by for breakfast or lunch, as it's a nice location to do some window shopping or sight-seeing afterwards.

Good sandwiches but sad to have the place with a great name but serving cheese and other dairy on meat sandwiches, which would make it non kosher. You may as well serve cheeseburgers!!Why would you name your store L’Chayim giving people a false understanding of what a kosher deli might be?

My family and I have gotten breakfast sandwiches (bagels) anytime we’re in the area; by far the best breakfast sandwiches we’ve ever had, and the staff are always really sweet! It’s become a tradition to go grab breakfast here and come back home to enjoy them every chance we get and combined with the wonderful different beverage options, we’re never disappointed. Even if there’s a little bit of a wait, (there isn’t often!), the staff are always welcoming and friendly every time. Definitely stop by and grab a bite if you’re curious! You won’t regret it.

Horrible rude and over priced. My wife and I always call the day before to let them know we want three dozen parmesan bagels. Never had problem before. This time we drove 2 hrs to pick them up and we did. Once we were home we discovered they were burned and hard as hockey pucks. My wife called and the guy I presume was the owner said he would refund the $60.00 which we were maybe expecting just a little refund. We sent him pictures and all was good I thought. Forward a week and my wife called to check on the refund and the rude owner said no and hung up on her. He not only went back on his word but rudely hung up on my wife. We were loyal customers but no more. STAY AWAY FROM THEIR STORE IN BEULAH, FRANKFORT AND THE NEW ONE THEIR OPENING IN GLEN ARBOR.

We had a Reuben and a Roast Beef sandwich. Both were excellent. The roast beef had slaw on it which gave it a nice crunch. Popular place for good reason, fast service and great food at a reasonable price. We have also tried the one in Frankfort, and it was also fabulous.

HORRIBLE! Im A regular customer who ordered 3 dozen Parmesan bagels and they were all nasty, dried out and burned.I called when I got home, I was so upset at losing &60 to non edible food and asked for some type of compensation. He said twice that “I will refund the whole amount.” Owner with bald head said he would refund me fully but when I called a week later, having received no check as HE told me he’d send, he hung up on me! I paid $60, yep, $20 a dozen for dried out Parmesan bagels I wouldn’t feed an animal. Did I forget to mention I drive over 2 hours to get there one way? I buy quantity to freeze but NEVER, EVER again! This guy is nasty, rude and I’ve never been hung up on by any business. When I asked why I hadn’t received the check, and he said he wasn’t going to give me any refund, I said “So you’re going back on your word?” I didn’t even get that whole sentence out and he hung up. This place is overpriced and unfriendly. We have always gone because we don’t have a bagel place near us but this guy whenever he waited on us couldn’t even crack a smile much less a you’re welcome as I always say thank you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. RIDICULOUS PRICES AND RUDENESS. I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. Oh, I forgot to mention, I just bought 2 dozen the month before, in June and they were $16 a dozen. When the girl gave me the total for this garbage it now is $20 a dozen. I asked why such a huge increase? She said “Oh, they have to pay for the new store they opened in another city.” Real good business to tell customers that! HORRID EXPERIENCE AND WILL BE LETTING ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS BE AWARE AS THEY HAVE GONE HERE ON MY ADVICE BUT SURE WONT EVER AGAIN, Thanks for stealing my money and lying Mr. Bald head.

Great lunch sandwiches with excellent bagels, extensive choices, made to order so you can get vegetarian or vegan if you want. Very good cookies and sweets, too. We love to stop by when traveling through the area.
