Great for new skiers/snowboarders with other family-friendly activities. Awesome trails for snowshoeing, fat tire biking, etc. Don’t expect many frills. This is a well-executed, but fairly minimalist, spot.My tween has learned to snowboard with the instructors here. I am a skier and actually was in a ski club here at his age. Very good for these sorts of things. If you prefer to hike or snowshoe while others ski, there are extensive trails that I highly recommend. Enjoy!

Had a great time at this location. This was my first time formally at a ski resort. Even though it was warm, they made sure the snow was plentiful and soft for skiing and tubing. The staff were pleasant in both reservations and cafes. The food was okay. The lift was not working for the tubing hill.

Top of the slope in staff’s knowledge, willingness to help, and welcoming attitudes. Great experience from main desk, to store, and on the slopes. Success is their motto! Thank you Cannonsburg team, even a smile through an unexpected season. Thank you for being you! Looking forward to our next visit!

It's nice to have a ski/snowboard option close to home; especially in school nights. I wish they'd invest the effort to have their triple chair open though. It's already not a big place and when they go nearly the entire year without opening a third of their chair lifts, it really is a big disappointment.

Kids loved it. We did private lessons with Jenna, Spencer and Max. All great. Jenna got my three year old up and down hill multiple times. 10/10 for fun 1/10 for value 😂 so expensive - but that’s just how skiing is!

I'm an employee who works the lifts here at Cannonsburg, and assumes a few other responsibilities when delegated to me.Employees at Cannonsburg care very much and work hard to make it enjoyable for customers!I believe our best qualities and what makes us different from other ski resorts is our customer service, cheaper day and night tickets, and our variety of park features.I noticed there were some complaints about employees who conduct themselves unprofessionally here at Cannonsburg.I can assure you that ANY Employee who isn't meeting the standards of conduct, is disciplined and up to termination, if deemed necessary. I have watched the supervisors and managers do it personally and they are not afraid to discipline and terminate those who do not uphold their standards when it affects the business and those who come here to enjoy their time. Especially since some of us really do value where we work and want to make it a better place. If you do have issues, consider that it takes many departments to effectively manage the resort, and also please consider then reporting the department or worker who is not appropriately handling their responsibility that they have, to their employers and to our community to make Cannonsburg an enjoyable experience for everyone :)While we can't control snow, we certainly work hard to take advantage of good snow days and make it count for the community that helped build this resort! If you ever catch me in a dinosaur costume wearing a cowboy hat, smiling and laughing, playing good tunes, and safetly getting you onto a lift, or maybe singing into a shovel while I groom the snow, or playing guitar while I check your passes at tubing, I'm James, nice to meet you! :)I want to make sure every experience is enjoyable for you snowboarders, skiers, and tubers! And provide some entertainment and good customer service! And I am more than happy to be here and provide that. I love Cannonsburg!!🤠❤️😍 🏂⛷️🏔️See you soon 😉😊

1st time learning to ski here. We came later in afternoon and snow was more ice like. Hills maintained well. Nice magic carpet, it was helpful. Staff pleasant. Equipment rental is nice and in good condition. Bathrooms smell.

This is the second time we have been out to Cannonsburg for snow tubing, the first was in 2019/2020 just before the pandemic. Needless to say, it was much busier this time. I went with two other adults and two kids, ages 7 and 9 over MLK weekend.Reservations are still required in advance for 2 hour blocks at $25/each for the weekend time slots. Tickets are not sold at the door and must be purchased online, which also adds an additional $1.50 per person fee. Waivers are required and can also be completed online in advance or at check-in. Tubes in included.Once checking in, you are directed to a general area without any additional information. From here you need to navigate past the ski and snowboarding slopes to reach the snow tubing area which is not clearly marked. This wouldnt be an issue except there is no real end to the ski slopes and nothing divides them from the established walkway at the end. While the majority pay attention, a very large minority do not and almost feel like it's a game to target people walking by, who are obviously trying not to be in the way.The Snow Tubing hills are divided into 5 lanes with a "people mover" that brings you to the top. Honestly, this is my favorite part. No one wants to trek to the top of any hill after the age of 10 haha. However, my 7 year nearly fell off once and my son got his tube cord tangled on a pole on the way up, almost ripping him of the belt. Both times the person responsible for monitoring the safety of the belt was busy playing on her phone or talking to friends. When I asked later about the emergency stop button she rolled her eyes and pointed out that no one got hurt so there was no issue. The guys at the top are there for fun and not safety, but try to make sure they keep the lanes clear at least. People go down many at a time, in any position or direction and sometimes more than one person on a tube at once.Once our two hours were up, we headed over the the lodge for snacks and hot chocolate. Sadly this area appeared to also be run by individuals who cared very little. The entire building was filthy, tables unclean and sticky. It took over 15 (after ordering) to get 4 hot chocolates, 6 waters and 2 pretzels which were ready cooked behind them. They also charged us 50 cents 6oz of water without refills. There are no water fountains. Then, some teenagers started throwing food and drink in the area and at no point did any member of staff step in. It was our cue to leave when we were struck with a small jar of peanut butter in the back of the head.We did have fun, and it was a short drive from Grand Rapids and there were just one problem after another including multiple safety concerns. The kids had a blast but I honestly would think twice before visiting again. I would NOT feel comfortable recommending to families, anyone with small children, or anyone where safety is a high concern. I would never leave my kids here in attended and I will definitely look for other places for snow adventures before going to Cannonsburg, which is such a disappointing thing to say.Item worth mentioning: during our time there, one of the smaller hills were shut down so that those with physical disabilities were able to ski with the help of modified equipment and 3 instructors per individual. One in front and two behind. About a half of dozen kids appeared to be participating that day. Myself and those with me found this to be fabulous and those with the kids seemed very attentive and very well trained.

My family rented the Cedar Lounge at Cannonsburg for a Family Feud watch party and the staff was so helpful and accommodating! They extended their cable subscription, helped us create a menu for our unique event and even created a personalized drinks menu in a Family Feud theme. Would highly recommend them to friends as a place to host a medium sized event!

The best place for family time. Mountain biking and dirt Dawgs in the summer, climbing the mountain, ice cream, burgers and more. Trivia nights, kombucha yoga and movie nights! And that is just summer. Come winter it is everything you want and more. The staff is great and the leader of them all, Danielle Musto (and her Pup) is the most helpful, kind, energetic, and knowledgeable. If you have been, GO tonight.

Very disappointed in this place, no working bathrooms, no locking doors in the bathrooms, even no doors in the stalls at all. Went through 4 bathrooms to find a stall that locks, has a door, and is not broken. Food is absolutely horrendous, all trailers were closed today except two hills. With a race going on and they close off the hills. Wow I am in shock just horrible.

I have alot to say.1. Half the people here are lazy and the other half enjoy there job. Had 2 very rude working teen girls that keep coming up and whispering then pointing at us. We moved 3 time to different areas and they keep finding us. We did tell an older lady she informed us she was not going to look into it and we can move again. If you have never been the lounge area isn't big and to keep moving with 2 teens on the slopes its not ideal... we have no clue what there problem was. But I've seen teens working at Walmart have better manners then half the teens here.2. If you have to use the restroom be cautious. Had someone ask my son in the bathroom if his parents "took care of it at birth" the men's restrooms and the women's don't lock and if they close the don't latch, half the toilets were clogged looking, no toilet paper, smelled of pee, trash was over filled. I did notify someone when I got drinks but the lady told me that is how it was is from previous years.3. Have money or pack food I get a rise in cost and open only so many days a year but the food is so overly price 3$ for a hot chocolate and they filled the cups with 1/3 of ice. When ask why they stated they needed enough due to the first week open for everybody but we will be able to drink it right away... it was cold and super watered down, glad we had food pack and other drinks.4. We watch so many people "teaching" super little kids ski or snowboard have no patience for these little kids there were 2 adults and 5 kids in green vest. They keep saying faster, push with your feet like I just told you why are you not pushing, kids cry because they can't do it and the teachers telling them your eyes will freeze if you keep crying. All the parents sat inside while there kids were out there crying and trying to get there little skies around the ice pack snow.We will never go back with the price and how rude the staff was. I rather keep going north to boyne mountain the staff is so professional there, its pricey but so worth it for what you get and the experience. Thank you cannonsburg for making my sons birthday one to remember but not for the right reasons. Glad you got the 300$ from us you won't get anymore and I will be telling people how terrible it was

This was a great spot for snow tubing. The hills are high and fast! We took a weekend trip there for my son's birthday, it was such a great adventure. The magic carpet was a real plus, no walking up the hill saved us time and energy too.

Really fun spot for tubing! The staff are really great and they limit reservations so you don't have to wait in long lines. Because of that you need to reserve a time in advance, but well worth it!

I am loving the new Sweet Spot ice cream spot out on the back patio! They have great selections, some really inventive items, and fun adult drinks as well. There is plenty of seating outdoors for social distancing, and the prices aren't outrageous either.

*Tubing trip only* Definitely something I had to do at least once also something I'll never have to do again. We managed 2 out of the 3 hours and it started to get overcrowded. The waiting area at the top is unorganized with people standing everywhere. At 1 time we had 6 rows of people waiting with only 4 sliding lanes. Two employees at the top trying to manage 4 lanes apologizing that the other employees are late. The two employees that started us off were excellent having fun and making it fun.Ended up we would be able to make 2 trips down every 50 minutes.I thought the hill was going to be much larger although it was still long enough to make it fun but not long enough to make was want to stay in line or go back. And the unorganized overcrowded waiting area at the top was a buzz kill.

I hosted my twins 17th birthday party Cannonsburg we had a tubing snowboarding and skiing event with all sorts of amenities this place is absolutely beautiful and so amazing all of my guests all 25 of them absolutely loved the party experience of this place since we haven't had much snow this year parents and guests who haven't experienced Cannonsburg were a little skeptical of the party venue but I've been there many times and kept it a surprise to those who haven't I knew that there was no need to worry because Cannonsburg makes its own SNOW😍 so anytime you wish you can go there and have a blast😀 no matter what's your weather there will always be snow!!! Thank you Cannonsburg Ski Resort for making this one awesome Birthday Venue💖 and if you don't have tubing snowboards or skis or helmets no need to worry Cannonsburg has all the gear you may need at a very reasonable price😀so if you haven't checked it out please do you will absolutely love this place and take yourself or family again and again enjoy I know we did💖

If you have kids, this is a must for their tubing hill at least once during winter. Kids love it, and lines move fast. The only downfall is that it's much more expensive than it should be. Will return next winter for sure.

Attended their annual spooky forest trail for the first time. It was very well done. But getting to it was SUCH a pain. You purchase tickets ahead of time. Pick your timeslot, sign a waiver.... And then you have to stand in ONE line regardless of if you pre-purchased tickets or were purchasing in person. Spent more time in line than at the attraction. Which is a bummer cause we had a great time. Highly recommend a prepaid line for admission.

Great times at the Cannonsburg MTB trail. Lots of punchy climbs, followed by flowy runs. Just when your lungs start burning, plenty of fun.

We did the winter wonderland trail. It was ok. Fun music playing, fun spot but overpriced for a short walk really. Also kids running everywhere and tripping on the trail, so be careful it's a little tight in spots.

Great place to go to watch concerts in the summer! They have a wide variety of concerts and firework displays. You never feel cramped because of all the place on the ski hill.

Perfect ski spot for me, a beginner still. Not a big mountain. Nice, long, easy and intermediate slopes. Lift ticket + plus equip rental is $65 full weekday! Manmade snow on the slopes at noon when they open. Not at all crowded before 5. Crazy crowded after 5 and weekends.

We had a great day at Cannonsburg. Why would we go north when we have such an awesome hill here? Great snow, nice lodge, friendly staff, not crowded. Also, this place loves first responders and military folks, very encouraging.

Over all I had a great experience. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars aside from one pretty big oversite it would deserve 5. My issue is with the rental equipment. Upon return of the equipment they do not issue you any type of recipt or proof on your end that you in fact returnd the equipment. So if something hypothetically went missing and I was charged for some of the equipment because they claimed it was missing or not returned. Despite my requesting, that explained they would not give any proof to show I infact returned the equipment and it was in good shape. They had a whole spiel about mathing up a white slip to a yellow one in their paper work and that's all fine and well. But if I had u go to court to prove I returned the equipment in working order, If for some reason they decided to charge me for something. I would be unable to because they didn't issue a reciept stating they received it back. As expensive as this equipment is that's a pretty big oversite and offers me no assurance that I won't be charged for equipment that was lost or misplaced by their young staff. Who were all polite and friendly and professional by the way.but people are people and I would've liked some type of reciept or proof that they acknowledge that recvieved their gear back and tht it was in good working order when it was returned. Other than that. S great experience and I highly reccomend the place. Just maybe have a plan to prove you returned any equipment you borrow. Because proof will not be provided otherwise. Leaving the door wide open to charge you and leaving you in a completely defenseless position legally.

Our work held the annual outing here for the zip line. It was great! The staff that guided us through the lines were fun, and they made sure everyone had a great time. The zip lines were more fun than I thought they would be, and the guides added in a little extra game towards the end. They made certain everyone followed safety precautions as well. It was a lot of fun but I would encourage folks to dress appropriately - the harness that you wear can..... Chafe.
