Went here for brunch on St Patrick's Day. Quite busy.Really nice place. I like the decor.A friend of my wife and I was playing with a group of Irish music.I got the Cuban sandwich which was very good.My wife got the corned beef hash and she really liked it.She also got a drink. It was mead and had some flowery stuff as a taste. I think roses. She loved it.Minor complaints- it took about 10 minutes before anyone really acknowledged the group of us waiting to be seated and a long time to get our food once we ordered. And the fries I got seemed to be the bottom of what was left of the current batch. About 73.5% of them were about an inch long, but they were good fries.Just really short.

Wonderful atmosphere at Archival, very spacious indoor and outdoor seating. After learning more about their story and brewing process, I really wanted to check out this brewery to see what it was all about. They brew historic style microbrews. I tried a Viking style mead and my other half tried a few Irish reds. Very fun experience and even better story behind this brewery, check it out!

Our group's initial visit to this establishment proved disappointing, leading us to advise against it. We encountered several issues: the mimosas were overly simplistic, resembling plain orange juice, and our request to omit anchovies from the Caesar salad was met with the revelation that it was pre-mixed in the dressing, offering limited alternatives. Additionally, the chicken and waffles was excessively charred, comparable to the taste of burnt popcorn. Considering the lengthy wait for our meals, despite the restaurant not being crowded, we decided not to request a remake, which would have further extended our wait. The lack of attention to detail was also evident in the staff's casual demeanor, exemplified by the bartender's choice of wearing sunglasses inside the restaurant, which contributed to a subpar service experience. Our check for two people was over $60 which is outrageous for the quality we received. Has great potential but definitely room for improvement.

We had a wonderful visit at Archival Brewing . It is located just North of Traverse City in Belmont. We were fortunate enough to stay as a Harvest Host Guest. The facility was beautiful and offered indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed a flight, trying some of their wonderful craft beers. They had a fun selection of choose from. We particularly enjoyed the Fritz’s Folly IPA and the Chris Farleywine. They also had a full service restaurant and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the Mushroom Swiss smash burger. They offered indoor and outdoor seating and the facility was very well maintained and the staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Thanks Archival Brewing for a great stay we really enjoyed it.

It was a nice experience. We went there couple of days before Independence day long weekend and still managed to get sitting in 5 minutes. We really liked our outdoor sitting and a visual treat of nature around. If you are sitting at the backyard which is down by the fire pit then after placing order, you have to take your food from the bar area. When we visited they said they don’t serve it there and it’s a self service. Food was good but one star less just because of not having wide variety of menu.service was great too. I would recommend this place for a cozy couple or fun filled family time.

This place is a gem! Great selection of beer and ciders, something for everyone. The food is great, definitely a step up from most breweries where the beer and cider takes center stage, the food and drink menu are both very well thought out.Lily was our server both times we’ve gone, and she even recognized us the second time. She is fantastic! So friendly and efficient, giving recommendations, etc. the other staff members we’ve encountered have all been great as well. Wait times may be a little bit longer for food but it’s clear that the reason is because the food is fresh so obviously it’ll take a little longer. They also have trivia and live music on various days, can’t wait to come back when it’s a little warmer and enjoy the patio!

My husband and I were looking for a place for lunch and to take a break from driving from Illinois on vacation. I searched and Archival popped up. Very nice looking brewery and friendly staff. I ordered the lamb tacos which they were out of so I chose the fish tacos. A lot of food for me and I ate one and husband ate the fish out of the other. He had the smash burger which he liked. Beers were good. I overheard a staff member tell another guest that they were out of three other items. That’s not a good thing.

We had the Michigan pasty, hand cut fries ,veggie tacos and caesar salad. All were excellent with ambiance and a view. The beer was tasty, the service was pleasant and the pricing was reasonable. Definately going back. Well, we came back in July. Incredible. I had the Lamb barbacoa tacos which were unforgettable. My wife and daughter had the black bean burger and they were very happy. We also had the hand cut fries which were delicious. The server was friendly and knowledgeable and let us know they were distributing all the way up to the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island to their 7 restaurants because their beer uses historic recipees. Great beers by the way (Fritz's Folly IPA and a Krolsh). This place has craft beer, craft food with an awesome view and nice folks. Our new favorite destination. Hope they stay that way. Keep up the good work!!Had lunch a couple more times since and still an amazing experience. The Mahi Tacos were amazing and loved the Brussel sprout salad. Spoke to Levi (owner) to compliment him on the great experience that they offer there. He says they have a great team in every department and it shows. Love this place!

Enjoyed our visit to Archival Brewing today. The building is beautiful and very large. The outdoor wraparound porch is a nice touch for covered outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. Food has potential but there's room for improvement. The roast beef was just OK and the fried chicken was good but over greasy. The beer was fantastic though. Definitely worth a try.Update 2023: Made a Sunday visit for brunch, and it was very good! The Southwest Hash is excellent, especially with the egg addon. The Breakfast Burrito is also quite good, the bacon option is awesome. The portions are also large for the price. The only disappointment was the mimosas, they were VERY weak and basically just orange juice. For $8, we recommend skipping the mimosas.Parking: Plenty of in site parking. If you want to sit out at the patio around back, park around in the side lot, which has direct access to the patio.

Best restaurant in West Michigan! This place should be on a food tv show. Worth traveling to. If you live within 30 miles of Archival Brewery and haven’t tried it… what are you doing with your life!? You can tell that the owner truly cares about quality and is passionate about what he does. Amazing food, great beer, awesome atmosphere and service. What more could you ask for… an outdoor bar with huge fire places? They have that too.

This place is AWESOME! They were super busy, but the staff, especially our server Meg, did an incredible job and took our orders with a smile and great demeanor. The food and beer were excellent, two flights and not a bad drink amongst them. The building and grounds are beautiful!I can’t wait to come back here again!Kid-friendliness: Two couple, 5 kids and Meg was excellent with them! So patient and kind, as well as friendly!

What a great experience at Archival. Friday night, party of 6. We were able to get a reservation for 5:45pm. The live music was really good. The place was hopping. Everyone was having fun! Our server Meg was was amazing. So friendly available and helpful making decisions because all the food sounded so good. The fried mushrooms and calamari apps were perfectly deep fried. Our favorite meals were the nachos and the quesadilla. But everything was 💯. Can’t wait to visit when the weather is warmer and we can visit the outside area…it’s huge. The dogs will love it too!!

The vibe here is almost unmatched and was a great spot to enjoy a nice crisp fall evening on the deck under the heaters. The appetizer was quite good and had the perfect ratio of chips to spin dip. The value of the spin dip was impeccable, we got so much dip for a reasonable price! The beer, Oktoberfest and The Duke, were quite tasty and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of each. The entree's were really good, but the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was not really spicy. However, the flavor and taste was still all super great. The downfall of this place is the pricing of the entree's, the Nashville Hot was like a chik fil a sized sandwich and the Chicken Risotto was like a kids portion. Overall, the flavor of the food and beer is great but the value for what you get is not there. Dinner for 2 was $85.

I really wish I could say I had a positive experience here as I had heard so many good things and the food was overall good, however our service left everything to be desired.Me and my wife felt invisible to our server, they had completely forgotten her drink until she asked about it again 45 minutes later, the amount of time it took for our appetizers to arrive only to have our entrees arrive 2 minutes later. Our server only seemed to have time for large groups and not us. I’ve worked the service industry in one capacity or another for quite some time and this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. If you are a large group of people I’m sure you’ll have a great time if you are a couple on a date do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

What a cool place! Super cute! Really great atmosphere all around, and loved the patio section!! Incredible food! But even more than that, we had great service! Shout out to Sabrina for her knowledge of the menu and answering all of our questions! Thankful for her suggestions! Will certainly be back when I’m back on that side of the state!

Calamari is my favorite dish to get at a restaurant, but my girlfriend, who is gluten free, has never been able to share with me. Tonight was our first time sharing and it meant so much (probably too much, considering it's just food)! The sandwiches here are wonderful, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the drinks are absolutely to die for. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough

What a unique idea, alcohol brewed as it was throughout history. Here you’ll be drinking beer, seltzer, and cider that has been brewed with prehistoric yeast, a medieval recipe, or an exclusively royal heritage. They do a great job giving you short stories behind each brew’s origins and what made them think it might be special.Along with great drinks, they’ve got some even more awesome food! I haven’t had anything here I wasn’t completely satisfied with. Their flavors are perfect.Out back they’ve also got a great outdoor area set up with fire pits and outdoor games. We had a blast!

Really excellent food and beer. Great vibe for the interior and exterior, especially the beirgarten. Service was fantastic and the owners seem like cool people. Lots of parking. They have a rotating menu, which is how you know the food is seasonal, fresh, and tasty. I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and it was the perfect crispiness and heat level. The garlic aoli is a force to be reckoned with. Get extra for your fries.

Tried Archival Brewing for the first time. The beers were very good but a bit disappointed with managements handling of our Hop Passport. Since it was our first time, we decided to do flights to sample as many beers as we could. We got 2 flights. When we went to pay, we gave them our Hop Passport. The waiter stamped the appropriate brewery and then said there is no discounts on flights, just pints. He could see I was not happy so he went to "talk to the manager". He came back and said they could only give us a $1.00 discount. Had I known that they would not honor our flights as purchases I would not have given my Hop Passport and used it another time. I know it's normally used for pints but several other breweries have honored flights. Giving it a low review just so that Management will see this

We enjoyed every minute! Amazing space to hang out with friends or have a more intimate date night. Staff was friendly and attentive and we enjoyed a few beers and an order of Beignets to end our brief stay. We will definitely be returning.Outside area is fun and engaging and it was great to see people enjoying the space for corn hole and using the fire pit. There is a second bar outside which makes hanging out outside so much easier. Nothing worse than having to go back in and upstairs to get a refill.Overall, you can tell they put thought into designing this space. Attention to detail from the shades on the lights to the barrel wall by the bathrooms make this place unique and add to the overall comfortable vibe. Highly recommend giving this gem a try

I'm a fan of craft beer. My girlfriend and I ordered sampler flights and sampled 10 different beers. Between us, we only liked 2, and that was being generous. They were okay. Not terrible, by any means, but they didn't sit well. Also, live music in a brewery is obnoxious. If I didn't want to hear the company I'm with, I'd go to a concert or club. I go to pubs and breweries for a chill atmosphere, not terrible acoustic covers of early 00's alt rock. Wait staff was incredibly friendly and we got seated pretty quickly. If not for the loud, mediocre music, the atmosphere would have been perfect. It's a beautiful brewery for sure.

These folks do a nice job, ESPECIALLY with the beer. Rock solid selection in all types of beer and I'd call it a can't miss location for beer lovers. The food is good but not great yet. i believe they have a chef and the menu changes every time we go there, but just lacks consistency right now. Very good service and excellent atmosphere overall. 4 stars and climbing....
