This is a decent sized grocery store on Beaver Island, and I've come here for decades, every time I'm on the island. It's clean, reasonably stocked and everyone is super friendly. Considering the isolation and the cost of shipping, the hubby and I were both pleasantly surprised at the prices, as in not very high compared to shopping at home. Stop in whenever you are on the island, they will take good care of you! ❤🍀

Clean, friendly staff, but expensive. We definitely under why it's expensive, but if you can bring much of your own groceries with you to the island, you'll save a lot of money.

Friendly service and everything you need for groceries and essentials on the island. High prices are the only drawback, but of course that is unavoidable on a remote island like this! This family-owned market is one of the hallmarks of Beaver Island and I always know I will be warmly greeted and taken care of. Love it!

Amazing service and just what you need is in stock. If not, you can bet they will do their best to get what you're looking for. If you're on the island before mid June, you're going to want to check store hours. They're limited until peek season starts.

This is the only true grocery store on Beaver Island. They have a good selection and prices were quite reasonable in my opinion, given the remoteness of the location. Also the store was clean and nicely organized.

This is hands-down our favorite grocery store of all time! It's run by one of the nicest, most hard-working families you'll come across. Their pride is evident across the entire store; from the vast apparel selection, the unbelieveable meat counter with their homemade sausage/brats (try the teriyaki-pineapple-swiss brats and the ribeye for a wow moment :), the homemade spice mixes, the Dalwhinnie salads, etc. It's also the perfect size and is hands-down the cleanest grocery store I've ever had the pleasure to shop in. Once in awhile, something might not be in stock... just take a breath, smile and remember you're on a remote island in the middle of Lake Michigan. Keep up the great work McDonoughs.. we appreciate all you do for the island and those that are lucky enough to visit!

Your on an Island only store, prices are higher due to getting products from inland, but overall it was great. You live there you best get to store by 6:00 P.M. otherwise closed.
