I very much enjoyed my stay here in September of 2023. I was camping and my dog was getting very bothered by flys at the campsite to the point where we could barely stay outside, she was miserable. I decided we would finish the remainder of our stay at a hotel. I started looking for anywhere to stay that was dog friendly and I was not having any luck until I came across the Erin.When I arrived i was very warmly greeted and I felt very welcomed. The owners are truly wonderful people and make you feel at home. The room was nice and the views were great. My only very minor complaint was no AC. Now to be fair to them it was 89 degrees one day and that is not a common temperature on the island. There was an oscillating fan in the room and the windows opened for a nice breeze from the lake so that helped. I do not blame them for not having AC as the vast majority of the time on the island it isn’t needed so it doesn’t make much sense to spend the money on it but that particular day it would have been appreciated.The lack of AC would not deter me from coming back in the least. If I ever need a place to stay on the island they will always be my first choice.

What a delightful stay, it could not have been better!Innkeepers Kim and Bill were our hosts for what proved to be too short of a stay. The room was absolutely spotless! We appreciate pet friendly accommodations, most places discourage furry friends, not here!A short walk from several eateries and right on Paradise Bay in the middle of town. A great view from a beautiful beach, bring your swimsuits. We will be returning soon for a longer stay.p.s. Be sure and ask Kim about "Daisy TV".

We had a wonderful time at the Erin Motel. The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We needed a late check out time due to some health problems my partner has, and Kim was SO understanding. She allowed us to retain access to the room until our ferry departed that evening for an extremely reasonable price. Clearly someone who cares more about people than profit, and we were so grateful for that! Thank you Kim. Not to mention the rooms were clean and cozy. Loved the bay view. Would definitely recommend this place :)

I always hesitate to highly recommend a place that we like so much as it may make it harder for us to get reservations in the future. However, if you are looking for a clean charming simple hotel with an amazing location and an owner that just could not be more sincerely sweet and considerate this is the place for you. We enjoyed our stay at the Erin Motel, and got value for the price paid. Location is excellent, walking distance from the Ferry dock, even with a suitcase. We did not interact with the owners/staff, but our key was waiting for us when we arrived, and there were good instructions for everything we needed (ice, amenities). Our room faced Paradise Bay and the view from our window was spectacular.

This place is the perfect blend of modern and Rustic! The loft has beautiful windows all along the back so you can enjoy the view of the lake. The motel is smack dab downtown, and you can easily walk to gift shops, restaurants, and the grocery store. The loft has two bedrooms and a pull out couch, in addition to a sitting area with another couch. I can't wait to see this place in summer!

One of my absolute favorite places!! The newly renovated rooms are beautiful and cozy!! I had the pleasure of staying in the loft a week ago, went to the island for a wintery wonderland photoshoot, and couldn't wait to get back each evening to the wood burning fireplace! This place is perfection, from the views to the owners and people in the town!!!Beaver island and Erin Motel will make you feel at home

Beautiful place to stay right on the water! Kim was a great host and helped me out with everything I needed. Off season was beautiful and snowy. The rooms were warm and the water hot. I will be returning in the summer!

Great place to stay!! Clean rooms, very friendly staff and a gorgeous view of Lake Michigan with very sandy beach. It's right on the water so we could here the sound of the waves all day and night. Very peaceful and relaxing here! Definitely will be coming back here!! I highly recommend this place!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Quaint little place with the absolute best location on the island, just steps away from the gorgeous beachfront, restaurants, and shops. We stayed in the 2nd story main room which I would highly recommend. Downstairs rooms were reasonable as well, but the upstairs is much more spacious with full kitchen, dining room, balcony, and 2 separate bedrooms. Rates seemed quite reasonable and all staff we encountered were also quite friendly and accommodating. If you're booking a trip to Beaver Island, this is absolutely the place to stay.

Thank you guys for making this a very pleasurable trip unfortunately got sick before I got here hung out in the hotel room for about 4 days LOL stuck but you have made this one of the most pleasurable trips I've had in a long time to hang out with my family they mean the world to me got lucky to be here for st. Patty's day and it's been a great time hanging out with all the local people everybody is super nice here looking forward to coming back bring a boat the next time just for the weekend or 4A 4A extended month stuck in the harbor could work out to be a very horrible trip LOL

Beautiful room, with the door fifteen feet from Lake Michigan! Left the windows open at night to enjoy the lake breeze and sound of the waves. Old-fashioned room, but very clean and the staff was very friendly. The owner even left some extra beers for guests to help themsleves to! Great experience, we will be back.

TERRIBLE!!!!! We have been charged $ 257.00 because we had to cancel due to illness, (The full price of two nights). We only were able to give 2 1/2 hrs.notice. We were told you had to give 10 DAYS notice!!! How does that work for COVID or stomach flu or heart attack ????? DON’T PLAN ON STAYING HERE!!!!!!

The Erin is simple, slow pace and has the perfect view overlooking the harbour. Karen will replace towels/clean as often as you like, or simply leave you alone. We love it. Thanks Karen and Shari.
