Since I live in tx and just visiting for the summer 20miles from nina's, I was happy to find some Mexican items here although let me say some grocery options there were a bit more $ than what I expected. The flour tortillas there was what we were looking to get. My husband said it was the closest taste to what we are used to.

Great store but sometimes you can't find the same products you bought last time you came to the store. I have had this issue with their sweet bread like their pinguinos, some candy like mazapanes de chocolate and the flavor for tamarindo water. The people that work here are always polite and helpful. I always come back here because they have products that I cannot find anywhere else in Battle Creek. The products that they have are great if you are into cooking specific dishes like cochinita pibil, tacos, mole de olla, pozole and other dishes that are typical in the mexican household. If you are into mexican cuisine, you can find almost everything you need for those dishes in here. If you are open to trying new foods you should try their carnitas, they are delicious. If you try them be sure to be early on Friday, Saturday and Sunday because they sure fly. The restaurant part is pretty good too even though a little bit too small. The new additions to the store like their water based ice cream section are great as it makes me feel closer to home. The best one that I would recommend trying would be the strawberry one. I like this a lot because the closest Michoacana is in South Haven so it's easier to come here and enjoy an ice cream. My only issue is that sometimes their meat section isn't as fresh as it should be but for the most part they are good.

The employees were friendly and very helpful with all my questions. It had a larger variety of hot sauces, dried spices and marinades that you wouldn't find at a regular grocery store.

Hello my ppl never order from Nina's again we order 3 wet burritos that came with rice no beef lots of lettuce no tomatoes. No sour cream when I talk to the cook he told me to bring them back. for them to do nothing at all my son showed them the issue with the food so stay away from nina's of battle creek none making burrito ass I will show u what we got

Very authentic cuisine. I use to go to the taqueria. They have the same great food at the market. Only thing missing is the big beer I used to get.

Real Mexican store. Best tammali in town - week ends only. Meat is cut differently, steakes are cut very thin but are very good! Not too much English spoken :)

Food is good but grocery side is small and very limited. Basic fruits I use are not available so I have to drive to Flint to get them.

If you're looking for the usual supermarket look elsewhere. This is a very "authentic" (being kind) Mexican family store. Great, I'm sure, if you know what you want from such a store, but don't plan on buying milk, eggs, and some bagels here.

I called and asked if they sold a few things I was looking for and the man over the phone became annoyed with me I guess because he didn't understand me well and when he figured out one of the things I was trying to ask for he told me they where not a bakery and hung up on me.
