I like the store, but the employees don't treat the customers right.There was a few times I went to the deli and had problems with getting anything from them.The hours at the deli is inconsistent.. sometimes it will close at 7, sometimes 6:45 pm, and today was 6 pm. Even when it is open, it might take awhile to get anything from the deli. I had one time where the employee decides to leave and do another job in the store and the service counter lady took 15 minutes to decide to come help the people waiting.It is a nice store, they just need more training with their employees and staff to help.

Absolutely horrible experience. Peggy or Pam (the manager) was condescending, rude, and unhelpful. She approached us with an attitude and essentially refused to help us.Only positive experience was with Jeanette at the register. She greeted us with a smile. She needs to teach her “boss” a thing or two about customer service.

Food looks fresh in few times I have been there. Can get cut meats or cheese from deli.Over Thanksgiving holiday that was only place I could find Sweet Potatoe Pie.Thank you Gordon Foods!

New location on Columbia Ave. Very clean store. They have a very nice deli counter. Prices are good on most items.

12.29.23 Update:Maybe have employees not touching their food that they are eating at the cash register while they are checking you out. Maybe have them actually act like they care they have a job. I like those place less and less. I did get a " have a nice day". Where do they find these people don't act like they want to wait on you?I really enjoy GFS. However, tonight was the third time that the deli person didn't acknowledge me, There is also no bell to ring that I saw. As I walked away, i thanked him for his "help". Nothing was said. I go to the customer service counter and when I told him this was the 3rd time that the people say the deli just don't acknowledge you. He just chuckled. This is a simple fix...put a bell.

It is bigger. But honestly not as nice as they were. Apparently they have a deli to serve food. But they good they had looked dried out and been there for a very long time. I wouldn't want to anything they had to offer .

Brand new building. Nice smiling service staff. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They got me my order and even let me buy more product so that I wouldn't run out. Very nice selection. The store was very clean. They also have a popcorn stand of sorts with all different flavors of popcorn, so be sure to check it out. If you want to order online first, then go pick it up, and then you will get your order faster. Be sure to check out their deli where they can slice you up all kinds of meats. If you have a restaurant, they even have a cases cave where they sell cases of products (mostly produce) that you can buy if you are ever in a pickle.

I love shopping at Gordons. The new store is great; wide roomy aisles with space to grow, and very friendly folks. They're always helpful with any questions I may have, too.

Very nice updated and expansion at their new location. This is a great convenience to those of us preferring to shop away from the busy Beckley Road corridor.The order pickup system leaves a bit to be desired. There are two spaces designated for pickup orders. Twice I've found both spaces occupied by in-store shoppers, and had to wait for at least one to leave so I could use the space.They text when the order is ready. I realize that they may still have to add some of the temp-sensitive items, but I've had to wait upwards of 20 minutes almost every time, with one occasion over 30 minutes with repeated calls to request it.Since the staff has always been super nice and professional, I hope these are just wrinkles for them to iron out at this new store.

Produce is very good quality at a good price as are all the items here. My family loves the frozen casseroles and dishes especially the pulled pork, vegetable lasagnes, filled shells, Mac & cheese, breakfast casseroles. I can buy bulk eggs here and very good smoked ham. I highly recommend GFS if you’re serving a crowd! The new location is nicely laid out and staff are helpful & friendly.

Seems like the lady working at the cash register can’t stand customers or her job. I’ve never seen an employee so disgraceful and inattentive. Went to check out and she wouldn’t make eye contact with me or my partner and wouldn’t even say hi or make any acknowledgment of us. Didn’t even bother to read the total. And then stood there the entire time on her phone while we were paying. We even tried saying “thank you” for getting our receipt and she wouldn’t say anything or look up from her phone. Someone should be fired or given a good training on customer service and her job.

$5 rotisserie chickens can't be beat. Decent deli as well. Always spend more than I planned here.Edit: Rotisserie chickens went up to full price after a few months, so I quit going here.

Good cashiers good food and decent prices (some too high some pretty cheap) but dude, that 5$ rotisserie chicken was amazing. Perfectly moist, good size and tasty meat. Also who's ever seen a 3 FOOT BAG OF POPCORN!!

Store hours posted as closing at 8:00 p.m.. Deli however is closed at 7:00 p.m. I'm sure this is convenient for the deli employees not so much for the customer who was planning on buying Deli items.

This store has the best staff! I’m todays World it’s hard to find good employees and I must say this store has them! I was greeted by every employee with a smile and asked by all of them if I needed help finding anything! A smile goes a long way and these people hit it out of the park!
