Ignores customers when the store is set to open at 8am as posted. They would not open the door and it was 8:15am by then. Multiple people were outside and ended up leaving myself included.If the store is not set to open at 8am then have it posted with the changed hours. Simple as that.

My friend and I always have to go to the dollor general on w. Columbia ave. There's a Cashier there named Josh, he is so friendly, polite and cares about his Customers. We so appreciate him. He's a KEEPER. Give him a gift card or something to show that you appreciate his work ethics. Thank you.

This is the best dollar general I have personally shopped at. It is clean, always stocked with essential items, and staffed with polite persons. I am slightly disappointed in the dairy selection but not enough to deter me as a reoccurring customer.

My experience with the store and its employees wasn't any different from the ones I have had at other Dollar General stores. They asked me if I could find what I needed and were prompt to check out my purchase. Store was clean and orderly.

I was smelling face washes and couldnt decide which one I wanted and had apparently been standing there for too long and started being followed like I was suspected of shoplifting. It was the most uncomfortable experience I had ever had shopping. I will never go in that store again. And to think, I had just applied there, and live within walking distance. It would be pretty stupid of me to steal so close to my house, no less a place I was considering working for.

I love going to this place. Well the one in urbandale lol everything I go there, the ladys are so sweet and happy. I always forget what I go there for but I leave with more then what I wanted lol. Also everything is well organized and cleaned (no dust dirt or what's that any where)

Dollar General is a decent and convenient little shop for basic needs, I’m giving them one star because this whole dollar store shindig is getting out of hand. Dollar general is like a virus or a bad rash that just keeps appearing in random spots. There’s at least 6 dollar generals in my town that I know of, I’m sure it helps lower income areas but at the same time so many locations is unnecessary. It just encourages laziness and makes the cities less appealing to look at. I think there should me a limit to how many DGs a city can have at one time.
