Absolutely loved the experience! The breathtaking views set the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable evening. The live music added a fantastic vibe, and the service was top-notch. The option to choose between indoor and outdoor seating was a plus. Also, the availability of delicious snacks for purchase was a delightful touch. A must-visit for those seeking a perfect blend of ambiance, music, and excellent service!

Stopped last Friday late afternoon to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine as Dablon is my favorite SW Michigan winery. Our server, Karen, was less than pleasant. When asked if we’d been there before and I said “yes,” she rudely said “then you know what you want.”’ I asked to taste a wine I had not had, and she poured maybe a teaspoon in my glass with a big sigh. I quickly ordered a bottle I knew I liked, and she gave us a bottle and didn’t replace our tasting glasses with full sized glasses. We went outside and realized the wine was probably 75- 80 degrees (our glasses literally were warm to the touch), so I went inside and asked for a wine cooler bc I said the wine was very warm. Karen got one out of the cooler, scowled and handed it to me and walked away. Her rude demeanor definitely made our normal pleasant experience less than pleasant. Hence, the 3 star rating.

I never do reviews, however if you are going to be booking and paying for a table you should know this. I recently booked a table for $60. Which is completely fine. I have no issues with paying for a table. When we arrived I was told we had to do tastings at the bar. So that defeats the purpose of having a table if you have to stand at the bar to do the tastings. So save your money unless you know the wines there and are going for a glass.

Great experience here! Really pretty on the inside as well. We were relieved that we could actually get the wine-tasting experience that we had hoped for/expected but not received at the previous wineries (TH and RB) we visited earlier in the day. We were greeted at the bar by a friendly server and invited to choose the wines we wanted (5) for our tasting. The server explained each wine prior to our sampling and gave us crackers as a palette cleanser as well. The wine was good - my wife said this was her favorite wine that we had tasted on this particular day (she's the wine connoisseur in our house) and we left with a bottle to share with family later. Make this place a priority on your wine-tasting trip.

As a last minute decision to drive in from Chicago (90 minutes from Lincoln Park), I was absolutely blown away. The estate is gorgeous. They have a strong attention to detail as the vines were meticulously manicured, and the tasting room is wrapped in stone with granite countertops. They have a swanky outdoor seating area with views of the vineyard. The wine is mostly French themed from what I picked up, which was a refreshing difference from the other local options. They have an amazing Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. They also have a petit verdot that was incredible. I have not seen that grape as a stand-alone and it is grown on the estate. Everything we tried was fantastic and the staff was very knowledgable.I have a feeling we will be regulars here!

Had a great visit at the winery today, Bobby was very knowledgeable about all the wines we tryed. I did notice the sign 21 and older only, unfortunately sounds like to many unattended kids caused some issues. Joined there wine club, looking forward to making this a regular stop.

Overall a good experience. It is hard to find a place at the bar and to get served, but once you wait a bit then you are helped. Best to buy a bottle and go outside on the patio to enjoy it. Not really any food which is a bummer, but overall a fun atmosphere.

Had another wonderful visit terrific wine and service and a nice musician who didn’t overwhelm the tasting room with too much volume

I only give a 3 star rating due to the wine we purchased being bad. The entire experience at the winery was lovely! The tasting was amazing and my BF and I purchased a bottle and sat at a table. It was wonderful. We purchased 5 bottles of wine to take home and so far I've had to throw out 3 of them. All 3 were red wine and tasted like vinegar. One of the bottles even had some crystal like residue on the bottom of the cork when I opened it. This is very disappointing because we just went a few weeks ago, so it's not that we bought these bottles many years ago. And we never had them exposed to direct sunlight or in extremely hot temperatures.Very disappointing!

Great vineyard!Ryan, our tasting room server, was excellent and knowledgeable about all of the different wines that our group tried (15 different ones!)The tasting room itself is also very beautiful. Will definitely stop here when I’m in the area again!

They have a sign as you climb the stairs to the tasting that you must be 21 to enter NO CHILDREN. We went up anyway since we did not have our children this time. We stood at the entrance for about 5 min before anyone said anything to us. We went for a tasting and found out it was $25 for 5 tastings. My wife and I were going to split a tasting and was told they do not allow that. At this point we decided it was not worth $50 to taste wine and walked out. This is the first winery I have every walked out of.

I joined 3 other friends for wine tasting early afternoon on a Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. The wine is wonderful, the view is wonderful, the music is wonderful. The only thing keeping me from giving this place 5 stars was the lack of food. They have a small self serve refrigerator with cheese and olive plates (around $25 each), crackers sold separately. It seems they have plenty of room for local food trucks to offer food and I think that would be an outstanding addition.

My daughter and I had a great visit to Dablon yesterday. Beautiful tasting room and grounds! Our wine consultant was excellent at sharing information about the wines we were sampling. We purchased a chardonnay that my daughter really enjoyed. We look forward to going back!

Beautiful property, beautiful vineyards, beautiful wine selection. Hubby and I throughly enjoyed our time visting. Wine consultants were friendly and knowledgeable. We walked away with the "Producers cut" and the "Music Box Matinee". I would recommend this winery ten times over.

I have never had a bad experience in this winery like I did today. We arrived with a party of 13, celebrating a birthday. I hate that I did not get the women’s name. She spoke to us like we were children. Shushed us like we were children. We have been here before and knew how it worked. She had no customer service what so ever. Used to be my favorite winery. Please make sure you train your staff to be more polite. She definitely did not represent Dablon.

The winery is completely full of itself. The owner—a retired financier from Chicago—believes Michigan wines AS A WHOLE (as in, every AVA in the state) were awful until he started Dablon in 2009. He massively overprices and focuses on popular European varietals as a marketing strategy so you think the wines are better than they are. There are better, better value, far friendlier wineries all over Berrien County. (Domaine Berrien Cellars is my favorite.) This one just wishes it was in Napa, and has no respect for local wine history, terroir, or vinifera. We regretted visiting.

I have been to Dablon multiple times and enjoyed their venue, wine and service. This time I brought 6 of my high school girlfriends and arrived an hour before closing. We were told they couldn’t do any tastings as that would take 45 minutes. We had an hour before closing. Then we were told we only had time for one glass of wine. The server didn’t even attempt to clean the counter as we were waiting. We walked out! We’ll never go back.

Beautiful tasting room and outside patio. My husband and I tasted some delicious wines and bought a couple bottles for home. The vineyards were beautiful to overlook as we enjoyed our wine. Lovely place and well designed building. Highly recommend!

Very nice place. Unfortunately, the service was horrendous and the wine selections are not all that great. My wife and I love wine tasting, and so far this has been the worst and most expensive experience we’ve had yet. $25 dollars per person for literally a sip of tasting. The girl who was serving us had a very bad attitude and seemed to be trying very hard to be nice and made everything worse. Even after we noticed the attitude, we decided to still give it a chance, but no luck. We wont be back to this place after this experience.

While I appreciated the flexibility with our reservation since we we were about a half hour late, our experience with the outdoor server was cold and odd. She came off very strong about not letting us taste before we bought it because "we can't make it like a tasting outside", which this policy was not explained and makes no sense since we were the only ones there. I would maybe understand if they were extremely busy. A quick educational run through should be able to happen outside or inside. She tried to overcome this by saying "shes working there a very long time" and is good at making recommendations coming off as cocky. That does not replace you personally having a taste before purchasing multiple entire bottles. Made for a very unpleasant experience. On top of that, service could have been better. Instead of having customers going up to the her at the outside bar, she could have walked around and asked if anything is needed or offer us our next bottle. Manager Kymberly was extremely helpful and did ask us how we were doing. Also, carafes of ice water should be brought to tables, for pure safety (hot weather and to avoid overserving alcohol especially since they make you reach a minimum). We had to go in and ask for water and they only had bottle water for purchase that they didn't allow to go towards our minimum. Overall the wine was subpar and overpriced, to the point where we instructed them to charge us the minimum but we did not want to buy any more bottles to take home. Even with the wine being subpar, people come for the experience, and there was minimal service. We also would have liked music outdoors. I get starting the day quiet to hear nature, but once things started to pick up, I don't want to hear everyone's conversations around me and music would help offset that. The only reason I'd come back is because of Kymberly.

One of my all time favorite local wineries. Dablon is so beautiful, especially in the winter when it’s cozy inside and the fireplace going. Perfect time to visit when there are hardly any tourists and we can enjoy!! The no children rule might be a pain for families, but this is a tasting room. They don’t serve food other than typical tasting snacks, there aren’t kid activities. This is a classy and comfortable place for people who appreciate wine, it’s not a playground and I appreciate Dablon for curating a space for tasters to enjoy! You can’t take minors into liquor stores and tobacco shops, so the rule makes sense here too.

Dablon is wonderful. The nicest winery in the area with the best wines. Their reds are full and bold. The atmosphere is cozy and we like that they discourage large, loud groups and have a no children policy. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and make you feel like you're old friends. Finally they often have live music on the patio with a great view of the vineyards.

Awesome time and great wines! The inside was just as beautiful as the outside, and we will definitely be going back. Ignore the 1 star ratings. They are from people who are mad that they can't take children there anymore, (who takes children to a winery/tasting room???) and from a person who went when they still allowed Bridal parties, which they no longer do.My fiance and I are even thinking of joining their Wine Club, we liked them so much.

First stop on our wine tour. The grounds were really beautiful and all the wood working inside with the big fireplace made for a great ambiance. Their dry reds were bold, flavorful, but smooth. In particular I loved how many wines carried peppery notes, like the Malbec which was awesome. Their price point was higher than a lot of the other wineries in the area but the wines were good.

A very nice Michigan winery. Excellent facility. The wine, while not California quality was still very drinkable. They are certainly worth a visit.

An absolutely beautiful vineyard and tasting room! Was pleasantly surprised to not only have good dry wine from Michigan, but such a selection. For example, they make a Tannat and a Malbec in addition to the typical dry reds and whites. Loved the atmosphere! Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and sat on a big stuffed couch in front of the fireplace with a view little view of the vineyard. Very nice live music - a guitarist/singer who fit in perfectly. They even have a schedule for occasional movie showings. The service was simply excellent! Knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient. I felt like I was in my living room enjoying a glass of wine with friends. Twenty years ago, you wouldn't dream of finding dry wines this good in Michigan. Impressed with the relative quality and selection. I'll be back for sure!
