Go there. Great food nicely priced. Friendly wait staff. Awesome views of freighters on the St Mary's River viewed from a great deck outside or from inside through large windows in a cathedral ceiling. Shout out to Megan our server. She knows the menu well and the local area well. This is a female owned establishment and it shows. Very clean, large, modern restrooms. The dining room is nice and light and inviting. Beautiful views. Fireplace. Many scheduled events such as the "Cozy Hoedown" next weekend, Nov. 18th with a live band. We'll be there! Be sure to enlarge pics to see a freighter going through.Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options including the pizza which is highly recommended.Parking: Park right out front!Kid-friendliness: Great food kids. Bar area somewhat painted of from dining room.Wheelchair accessibility: Large bathrooms with accessibility and easy roll door ways and onto the deck also!

I ate here this week for the first time after others urged me to check them out. It was a delicious meal and friendly service. Plenty of drink choices and fish anyway you want it nearly. I ate blackened whitefish with fries and some ice cold Upper Hand Brewery IPA’s. You can catch freighters passing by while visiting during the shipping season.* update* 6/25/22The fish(perch) tacos were the best I’ve had anywhere.* update 9/2/23The buffalo chicken wrap was absolutely delicious as well as the island hopper craft beer.

What a wonderful surprise to find this great little spot on our color tour drive of the UP. Apparently run by new owners who are doing great things with it. The building is set up with a restaurant area and a bar side plus a wonderful front deck right on the Saint Mary River. Great Lake freighters glide by and the views across the river are beautiful. Our waitress was so sweet and personable, spending time with us bragging about all the wonderful things the new owners are doing to the place. And a surprise bonus for me, they even had Michigan lottery so I could play Keno! The bar food is above average and the drinks were great. It's definitely off the beaten path but they plan on staying open year round. Try it out sometime.

Best food for four hundred miles. Best restaurant manager and ownership, working with Acres brothers and crew. Is a blessing. Thank God I didn't get hired in the Soo. Learn how to cook fish and northern cuisine.Parking: Easily accessible

Came here on a recommendation and sooo happy we did! Dinner was great and the view is beautiful! We started with the homemade fried mushrooms, which were sooo good! Then we had the NY Strip Steak with Whitefish and the Pork Ribeye....Yesss and Yesss!! Our waitress was a delight also! Cute decor and a live update of ShipWatch, which was really cool! We will definitely be back and, with a lil planning, we'll be able to see a footer pass by!!

Nice setting, great view, with some quality food. I had an appetizer of queso and fry bread, which was very tasty. My main course was fried white fish and french fries which were far better then what you would expect from the average bar in the area. This place was a pleasant surprise worth the trip off the beaten path.

The menu is awesome, and the food matches! They have some very interesting specials, but they always turn out great (smoked mac n cheese with steak and chipotle sauce - pictured here). Follow their Facebook page for up to date info, they actually post almost daily.Breakfast (Sundays only) is really good, too.Tammie, Cassandra, Amanda, Austin, and the rest of the staff, really, are great. Those 4 really stand out though.

The food was good. I quite enjoyed the whitefish basket, dad enjoyed his steak, my brother and sister liked their burgers. Our server was attentive, food came out quickly, and everyone enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere left something to be desired; once the dinner rush started, it got very loud inside, and being seated at a table in-between the doors to the patio was unpleasant with the constant opening/closing and people moving back and forth all around us. However, seeing as there aren’t many other dining options nearby and it was a Saturday night, I’m not judging too harshly. Check it out if you’re in the area!

The new freighter murals and the entire rebranding of this local restaurant is fantastic- Great food , service and phenomenal location on the lower River system - you can practically see the crews on the big ships as the slow down to travel through the rock cut - This is a 4 season restaurant with so much to offer a LOCAL gem for sure

The location is on the mainland across from Neebish Island. They offer free dockage while you dine. The food selection is extensive. We ordered the whitefish basket. It was as bland as could be, but the fries, beer and service made it worthwhile. The atmosphere is upbeat and noisy- and the decor is all about Great Lakes shipping. Fun place!

This secret local hangout with a comfortable hunting lodge decor is a destination for those who want amazing food away from the tourist scene. Locals tie up their boats on the dock and come in for microbrews or ice cream. Cozys is famous for their MOOSE BURGER which is a pound of bacon, a pound of county fair beef topped with a half pound of shaved ham. It is a tower of exquisite flavor enhanced by heirloom tomato, fresh lettuce, cheddar cheese and mayo. Eat it with a pound of fries and earn bragging rights and a t shirt. A half order (Mini Moose) is a sharable meal for you and your partner. Their fresh whitefish is good and can be creatively served as a Rueban or with Alfredo sauce on pasta. Eat outside on their home-style deck with your dog and watch the freighters and the gulls floating by. Soo good eating!

You can't go wrong with the Cozy. Great location right on the water with dock access for the boaters in summer and accessible by ORV and Snowmobile trail for the rest of Northern Michigan's seasons. With the best views in Barbeau the Cozy has outdoor/deck seating available to take in the beauty of the area and the majesty of the greatlakes freighters that pass by. Be sure to have a Ship Shot when you hear them ring the bell as a boat passes by.With a diverse menu the Cozy has something for everyone. From the freshest of fish to a juicy burger or Cajun Shrimp tacos their menu is sure to please. The staff has always been on the ball and does a great job serving you.

This is becoming me and my wife's favorite place to spend our dinner dates! Due to my work schedule our date nights are far and between so we usually just stayed in the Sault for a quick bite to eat. But after a couple visits here, the experience is absolutely worth the drive out.The staff is accommodating, patient and will make you feel welcome and like you belong.

Waitress finally took our order (when there was not that many people in there) bought us the food and then never came back!! Then finally bought us a bill! We had been waiting for refills, extra napkins, tartar sauce for the fish. She gave me ranch dressing and extra salsa for nachos. The chicken square pieces were like rubber ☹️ The prices are really high, that’s why they have a ATM machine when come in. We will NOT be back
