Dollar General is like a plague. Tearing down beautiful pines to build a store with cheap stuff. The Bear Lake, MI, location on US-31 also torn down trees to put a second location outside of the village of Bear Lake, which already has one in the village. The same can be said for Baraga since there was already a location in L'Anse. More cheap stuff and more cheap decisions destroy beautiful places. The reason why other countries look down upon Americans. I will not support DG after seeing what they did to the pines near the Ojibwa Campground. It is well documented that dollar stores hurt lower income rural and urban communities. They basically prey on the poor. Tasteless and not classy at all.

Me and some friends decided to stop by the new store to buy some snacks for are car trip and the plus size lady with the neck tats who looked to be a manager or something followed us right away and after a min of standing behind us she said we can’t just hang around and if we weren’t buying anything we have to leave that’s extremely unprofessional when we were in there for a min looking around a new store we bought are stuff and left but it felt extremely wrong for her to follow us around and yell at us within a min of being in there
