We've enjoyed browsing through the store on two occasions so far. Lot's of good prices and unique finds. Products range from real vintage to reproduction vintage to collectibles and kitschy items. On this trip we discovered an amber glass egg plate and a live Roses of Sharon bush. There was a craft fair on the grass that we enjoyed and made some purchases from as well. We'll be back.

A great selection of records in a few booths. Plenty of interesting trinkets, and a great young man working the front counter. Found a rare Beatles album, and a pair of shoes for my toddler all under the same roof. Very good time.

When I'm in the mood to indulge myself in antiques, vintage and nostalgia, I come to M-43 Mercantile (formerly Katydid's). Located in Bangor, MI, I can travel scenic M-43 from Kalamazoo and be there in around 40 minutes. There is a casual, relaxed feel to this place and I'm almost always greeted by someone working there when I come in. Once inside, I always feel transported to another time. I usually spend a good two hours here, leisurely strolling the booths. And there are many! A relatively recent addition to this antique mall is the opening of their upper level, containing several more booths. There really is a lot to see and a lot of creativity on display. I am usually on the hunt for antique and vintage home decor items, as well as vintage pictures and books. I also love farmhouse style, and there is plenty of that, too. There is a section on the first floor that is reserved for larger furniture pieces, and I'm always delighted to see what they have. This is usually the area where I grab a bag of their free popcorn, which I'm a sucker for once I smell it! The only problem I have with this store is that there is too much temptation for someone who has a weakness for antiques, crafty, kitschy and anything old. I never can leave empty-handed.

Lovely place with wide variety of items. Most things were reasonably priced. It's a well put together store although most booths had vintage and some garage sale type stuff. I'll go again.

So much to choose from. Something for everyone and every price level. Crafts, antiques, all kinds of neat things. It's decorated for the holiday season right now and really enjoyed walking around seeing items from across generations. I could have browsed for hours!

Love this place. A must see on my trips to the lake. Their product line changes constantly. Prices are good, always a bargain to be found! Great place to unwind and shop. Miss this place when I'm gone over the winter!

No longer Katydid's. Now the Mercantile. I was impressed by the amount of antiques & furniture. Prices are better tan expected & they have some seasonal craft items. Lots of booths have a sale going too.
