We stayed in tent site 23, and it was spacious, clean, and easy to stake out our tent. The bathrooms were easy to walk to and were clean and heated with hot water even in December. We bought firewood and kindling for a good price, and it was dry despite the rain. The campsite hosts were exceptionally accommodating as we ran into multiple travel issues, answered the phone every time we called, and made sure that we were safe and taken care of. Of the 15+ campgrounds I’ve been to, this has certainly been one of the nicest. I highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for a year-round camping experience.

Let me just say, the campgrounds were perfect for our large family reunion! We spent several days together and enjoyed every minute of it. We stayed in a variety of cabins, bungalows and rvs, all were great. We also rented most of the water craft, and all was great. The pizza is to die for!The reason for the low stars for service is because I realized about 2 hours after I left for home that I had forgotten a very important and valuable item in my bungalow. It's 100% my fault for leaving it, but when I contacted the owner I was told that the cleaners didn't see the object there and neither did the owner when they went to check. 2 days later after I returned home and emptied out my car I told them the object was not in my vehicle and was basically blown off. I know I left it there. Someone just isn't owning up to finding it.

This was our second trip up to Superior Times and it won't be our last. Great place to bring the family, even the dogs. The cabin rentals are great and the views of the lake are gorgeous. Only a few miles to many people's #1 favorite beach in the entire state of Michigan, Au Train Beach on Lake Superior. The owners being on-site helps to keep this place fun, safe, clean, and well cared for. There are a lot of fun things that can be affordably rented for the day including jet-skis, golf carts, and pontoon boats. Even when the cabins are full it can feel like you are the only person there. Thanks for the memories.

Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!! They have bathrooms and showers…small but clean and everything you need. There is a store, pizza, and a breakfast bagel with coffee available. We had a flat tire on our camper…the owner helped my husband change it so we could continue on our trip. Thank you so much…you’re our hero! It’s tucked away…but there’s cabins, a short trail, fishing, playground, and more!Open all year round!! Be sure to stop and stay at a cabin, electric hookups for camper, or secluded campsites!!

great spot for camping and so close to the lake! Super easy check in and access to showers/toilets was great. It was also nice being right between Munising and Marquette. Make sure to bring warm clothing for the nights. It gets super cold in the area and feels colder than it says temperature-wise. Highly recommend a kayak tour with Pictured Rocks Kayaking if you like being on the water. There are also kayak rentals down the road if you'd rather go on your own.

We had the time of our lives. My husband and I took our son and his daughter and our 3 other granddaughters her for 3 days. We rented jet skies a couple of times and went and seen several water falls and went to see Lake Superior. All of witch was firsts for the girls. It is a family owned and ran place that has everything that u need right there. We had a 3 bed room cabin and it was beautiful over looking the lake. It had everything. Thanks guys for a wonderful time.

Still new to camping this being our second camping trip we were nervous about finding a good spot to camp! Highly recommended staying here! We stayed on site 37 one of the rustic campsites loved how it was more private and we had our own area! The sky at night out here is amazing! Could stair and count stars forever! Staff was amazing and even helped make a call for us when our phones had no service! If you are looking for a place to stay I recommend going here! The various types of places to stay are awesome! Looking forward to coming back and staying in one of the cabins with my family soon!

We spent two nights here over the weekend. Overall it was a nice experience for the most part. The tent sites were all pretty close to each other. Our reserved area did not match with the website map like we were expecting. We ended up right next to a loud busy road. On the plus side of this review everything was clean and maintained, the bathrooms were nice, and the showers were hot.

This place is amazing! They have everything you could want in multiple types of camping! Also the people are so nice and helpful!!!This was my family's first vacation, and with autistic kids it is hard to accomplish but they made it happen. Also clean bug free bathrooms with hot water showers! We had to cut our trip short due to a medical emergency kicking my butt, so we never got a chance for a campfire and to make smores but will be back next year and have made sure to brag to everyone we know!

This is our new favorite campground! Located right on beautiful Au Train Lake and only 2 miles from the most incredible sandy beach on Lake Superior. This location is also close to many waterfalls and Pictures Rocks National Park. They rent pontoon boats, Jet Skis, Paddle Boards and Kayaks. We stayed in one of the bungalows which includes electricity, mini-fridge, wifi, charcoal bbq and a ceiling fan.The bungalows are like new and very close to private bathrooms. The private bathrooms are awesome! This campground is heavily wooded and absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to come back next summer!

We stayed 4 nights and had the ABSOLUTE best time. This hands down was one of the best campsites I’ve stayed at. The showers won me over and all the activities you guys offer. Worth it.The owners Heather and Tom were so nice and accommodating through out our whole trip. If it wasn’t for them we would’ve been lost in the national forest on the ORV trying to find Foggys. But overall 10/10, we will be back!!

I am blown away by this perfect hidden gem. We spent four nights in the Forest Salem camper during Labor Day weekend and nothing about this campground/resort was disappointing. The communication and accommodating customer service during the reservation process was too notch. Anytime, which was many, that we called with questions, they were more than happy to answer at full length. We originally were looking for two rustic sites next to each other and they helped us figure out the best two, then later on we easily switched one of the sites to a camper. The camper itself was great! It was nice to still be surrounded by nature but have normal, everyday accommodations with a toddler. The camper was clean and had everything that we needed. The campground itself, wow. It reminds me so much a little piece of home. It’s very communal, the playground was perfect for our toddlers and all of the other kids that were staying there. They have everything you could think of at the store from allergy medicine to camping chairs to basic groceries. The bathrooms were impressive for campground bathrooms, I just wish there were more shower stalls. The rentals - pontoon boats, kayaks, jet skis, golf carts, scooters, paddle boats are all so reasonably priced and the owners, again, couldn’t be more accommodating. The day we wanted to rent a golf cart they prorated it since we didn’t get it until later in the morning. Lake AuTrain is gorgeous and the sun deck area and “beach” is relaxing and comfortable. You can feel and see all of the love that has been poured into the place. Their story it heartwarming and deeply inspiring. What makes me love this place the most is the overall laidback vibe. You feel at home and like you are amongst family. You have to experience it yourself to understand. Thank you all so much for truly making our first family vacation that one we will never forget. The Upper Peninsula has easily become a regular vacation spot for us.Local recommendations - rent a golf cart and go explore the trails. Au Train Beach is a less than five minute drive up the road, spend a day there, it is unlike any beach I have ever visited and couldn’t be more perfect for my almost two year old. Rustic Grounds Coffee in Munising is some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. Miners Castle Point is also a must do and if you turn left out of the campground, just a short drive down the road is AuTrain falls, another hidden treat.Nearby activities: Kayaking, beaches, waterfalls, hiking trails, boat tours, tourist attractionsSafety: Campsites are close to the road but there is not a whole lot of traffic through the campground itself.Walkability: Lots of hills. Prepared to get some good exercise in when coming up and down from the dock area.Food & drinks: Small selection of groceries offered at the camp store as well as frozen pizzas and frozen breakfast sandwiches.Noteworthy details: Beyond accommodating. Great communication. Family owned and loved environment.

You know it’s a great place when you’re booking for next summer as you leave…We could not have been happier with accommodations and service at Superior Times Resort. Heather and crew were friendly and responsive to questions. They have a perfectly stocked general store onsite, clean and accessible bathrooms and showers, dishwashing after, and the AuTraun lakeshore views are gorgeous. Campsites have great shade coverage and feel very private. Our crew of teen/young adult kids loved the setting and location for day trips to Munising, Marquette, and Presque Isle. Put this one on your short list!

Very nice campground! We stayed in bungalow #2 and it was super cozy and nice. The bungalows are closer together than the map leads you to believe, so you can overhear your neighbors, but we didn't find it too troublesome. Our unit had a mini fridge with a small freezer which was convenient. We also had a kitchen table with 4 chairs, garbage can, electric fireplace, and broom. There is free wifi available at the campground, which was handy as we had no cell service (ATT).I think if you slept 6 adults in there it would be cramped as there isn't a lot of floor space, but certainly enough room for a small family or 3 adults. Mattresses were firm and comfy, but I'd definifely bring sheets, as they have a waterproof cover on them.No matter which bungalow you choose, you won't have a view of the lake, so I wouldn't get caught up in that. There are 4 individual plumbed bathrooms in the middle of the bungalows. 4 toilets, 2 have showers in them. Bathrooms were clean and had toilet paper and soap at all times.Camp store had everything you needed, even 3 types of firewood. You can even borrow a wagon to transport the wood back to your site. They even have frozen pizza and pizza ovens in the camp store. There is a nice sundeck that overlooks the lake. Also a small sand beach. Definitely a pretty and quiet lake.We will definitely stay here again in the future!

We kind of balance between a 3 and 4 star review....This is a average campground and met out needs while there for a couple days, nothing fancy about it but nice enough. Spacious sites with picnic table and firepit, good tent sites are really heavy wooded area around you and in kind of an valley setting which is pretty but if it rains youll get all the runoff from up above campground, Wifi is not very good, bathrooms/ showers are in good condition and cleaned often which we appreciated, it doesn't have a laundry room here which was a bummer, dock area was great but need stairs going down to it ( sketchy getting down there with the steep hill and loose sand), they have kayaks, canoes paddle boards for rent, yard games to play, firewood and ice to purchase, small little store with goodies, good pizzas to purchase. Best part of our stay was the Staff, they are 5 Stars all the way...they go up and above and are really friendly folks! All in all we'd come back for sure!Nearby activities: Lots of water to do water sports, fishing, paddle board, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, ect.Safety: Felt safe while there

We stayed seven nights in the eagle harbor cabin, which had plenty of room for the eight of us and along with 3 trucks and 3 snowmobile trailers. The cabin was very comfortable and nicely decorated with a relaxing outdoorsy decor!!snowmobile trail access was near by via spur across the street or via lake by boat lunch.the cabin had a mesmerizing fire place and wonderful sunrises across the lake through the front cabin windows. The holmstrom family made this my best snowmobiling trip ever !!❄❄ This resort is a diamond in the woods.

Great, family-friendly site. You can feel the love that the owner-operators put into making the space welcoming, clean, and well stocked (the office has lots of necessities, plus pizza!). They've shared their story on the Hip Camp listing, it's worth a read. The site is conveniently located to Lake Superior, Pictured Rocks, Marquette, Christmas, Seney, Hiawatha, et al.

My kids and I come here every year and it gets better and better each time. Heather and The owners really put a lot of thought into making everyone's experience amazing! We use to try and find different places each year to stay at, but now it's almost impossible to convince my kids to want to stay any where else. Would definitely recommend this places to anyone!

Absolutely wonderful! This place is picture perfect. Our family of five just camped here and were in complete awe of how big, wooded, and well kept the campsites were. The shower/bathroom facilities were incredibly well maintained. A huge perk of staying here was that it was just a short drive to some great trail heads and lookouts at pictured rocks. Stay here because of the beauty and fantastic location, but on top of that you’ll be staying with staff that treat you like family!

My family and I just left today after spending the weekend in a rental cabin. The cabin was brand new, clean and had everything it said it would have online. The owners were very nice and helpful. Bathrooms were the cleanest camp Bathrooms I have ever seen. And the mattress were actual mattress. Not the thin bed pads like were use to.Highly recommended. Owners have done a phenomenal job.

We are tent campers but wanted to try something new so we rented one of the RV's. It was big and super clean, we loved everything about it. Nice campground resort for any type of camper. There are some boats and kayaks for rent on the property. Many activities to keep the kids active. A beautiful big deck by the water to sit and watch the sunset/sunrise with your families or other campers. The BATHROOMS AND SHOWERS ARE AMAZING!!! Can't stress that enough! The owners are very laid back and some of the friendliness people I've ever met. We will be back! Heather and Tom, Thank you for your hospitality!

The Copper Harbor cabin is great for relaxing and is nicely updated with comfy couches and beds. The shower is newly updated and is awesome! The new deck is great for relaxing. Although the game room down by the dock is showing age, I think it's a great idea to have a game room by the dock. It was a very nice stay and for a very reasonable price! Will stay again next year!

This is the 3rd year returning. Cabins are always clean, super friendly staff, easy to rent kayaks, canoes and boats, beautiful views of the lake. The owners are starting new projects all the time which only improves what they already have going on. Planning our next summer trip as we speak. Considering a winter visit too. We have stayed at several of the cabins and like Pictured Rock the best for our group size of 7-9.

Nice little camp ground with laid back atmosphere . Very clean bathrooms and plenty of activities for the kids. We rented one of their campers and it was ridiculously nice inside. I’ve always camped in a tent since I was a kid but having the camper for our 1.5 year old was a huge help. They’re really generous about the boat rentals. Would definitely go back and would recommend this spot to anyone.

Very quaint and quiet campground in the UP—even with kiddos around! Lots of family yard games to keep the kids and family occupied. We stayed at one of the rustic sites, and it was just enough out of the way to make for a nice and quiet experience. Some of the sites are quite small, so I would suggest calling to get the best fit for your needs. We had an issue due to severe weather and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable for the remainder of our stay! They have fabulous bathrooms: the shower, sink, and toilet are in a private area together, which made for a great experience.
