Absolutely no serious complaints. The room was dated, and the carpet and vinyl tile was coming up in spots, but it's really just sloppy craftsmanship. For the price, location, and service, you can't beat it. It's right across the street from the public beach and 15 minutes from pictured rocks. They also own the gas station and convenience store next door, so we were able to stock up on food at the same time. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting. Thanks so much.

The motel is in a great location. Everything was clean, the shower was plenty hot, and the room includes a mini-fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The beds are a little hard but I still slept great.The rooms are very dated and the water is slightly discolored. It’s probably fine but we ended up buying a big thing of water from the grocery store next door for drinking.Our cost looked pretty reasonable but then an extra $30 hotel fee is added which makes it pretty expensive for the level of room.

Was looking for an overnight stop for weekend road trip. This facility came up with what appeared to be what we needed with acceptable reviews. I’m not sure who is writing the reviews but when we arrived it was not as presented. . I expected dated but clean. The mattress was filthy with no sheets, the ceiling was severely damaged with large water stains and falling down. The air duct/vent next to the bed was packed with what, I clearly don’t know.. I spoke with the host who said I’m sorry, we’ve had those complaints before but…nothing I can do. Needless to say I slept in my vehicle.

We usually stay here everytime we come up but others were faster this year. However, this motel may be small to some it is perfect for us. Very convenient location close to Lake Superior, Autrain River and the gas station/grocery. The previous owners were amazing people and the current owner is as well. We now know that others have found this gem so we need to book well ahead of time. Bringing my boys (age 21 and 15) last year for their first time ever being in the UP and staying here will be a forever great memory both for them and myself.Rooms: Perfect size for my fiance, 2 fur babies and myself for room 5 and also perfect for my boys I believe room 3.Walkability: Such an easy short walk to Lake Superior to watch the sunset or to just enjoy the view in generalFood & drinks: Can get what u need right at the grocery store where u get ur key for ur room without having to go into Christmas or Munising
