It's a nice store with friendly employees. Prices are a tad more expensive than your typical big store. They do occasionally have some really big specials which are very worth the price.

Today they were having a clearance sale on Skippy peanut butter. When I got home I thought it tasted a little off. I checked the jar, it's two weeks expired. Michigan law requires signage to clearly indicate the product is past its sell-by date, which it didn't. Oh well, hardly the first time I've bought something from here that had gone bad. Fool me once and all that 😂Edit 4/1/24: Just found some condiments for sale here a listed expiry date of May 2023 😱 😱 ALWAYS check dates at this place if you must shop here.

I don't buy meat from here. I spent over a 100 dollars on meat and put in fridge just to have it go bad over night. This isn't a good place for meat. It's always dis colored. The chicken a lot of times is green, as well as beef, After getting sick off their meat I don't buy meat. But I love their potatoe salads. Yummy.

The workers there were all friendly, I have been everywhere looking for bologna spread that tastes good and OMG I finally found the place. So delicious. Plus I bought burger that wasn't 20$per pound..I think I just found my store to shop at.

Stopped in her quickly for a few items we forgot on a family road trip. This store was great. They had every basic thing you could want from a quick stop grocery shop.

The staff is very friendly. But the main issue is you have to check dates on everything and check the produce. We've also had issues where the meat smells questionable. I understand there is a clearance section and whatnot but this is throughout the whole store. I go here often as it is the only grocery store in town.

Prices are still quite high on some items, but there are always deals to be found if you look. Most of the time, the convenience is worth the trip!

Thank God there's a super markets in Au Gres. They have good meats, cold beer, and a fair wine selection and a pharmacy. Good enuf for Me

Very nice store. The people in the deli are wonderful!!!! Food is good and they are very helpful. I went in on a Saturday the lady had 2 big orders of chicken to prepare but she took time to make my 10 piece that is customer service at best.

Ran in for seltzer water.... $8.99 for 12 pack.Individual ramen 🍜 packs 2 for $3... Was charged 1.59 $ eachPLUS THEY ARE $1.75 FOR 3 PACK ATDOLLAR GENERAL. Why in this economy such shocking mark up in prices? Over double $.... Not inflation that is gouging. So sad

I needed an over the counter medication for covid symptoms and relief I called IGA Judy and Kathy were quick to help me. They looked for what I needed when I was on the phone and then brought the medication to my car so I wouldn't have to get out. Thank you very much for helping out when I needed you most

I agree with rj p. This is by far, the worst grocery store on the planet.Buyer beware. Check the dates of the food. Some stuff is expired by more than a year.The cashiers are nice and friendly. The managers are more than incompetent to say the least.If I could give this zero stars I would.

Clean and well stocked grocery store and pharmacy. Have a meat counter with side dishes to choose from. Prices are little higher than Big Box stores, but what isn't right now.

This is a very nice small town grocery store. It reminds me of my Dad's store when he had it back in the 1970s. They have all the basics and some luxury grocery items.Most importantly the employees are very friendly and helpful.

Great place and nice people good food and deli - but zero sanitation. Cashier handling everyone stuff money and no gloves and empty bottle of sanitizer and none in stock. 1 Man with flat bed cart taking a whole pallet of TP.

I think I liked the layout of the old IGA better, but I'm getting used to it, I know they had to make room for the pharmacy. They still carry most of the products I use so I don't have to drive to Tawas or Standish very often. The prices are fair. Sometimes have to check exp dates. But I'm happy!
