Terrific experience... felt like I was in an Ace commercial. Got a friendly response when I walked up to the Ace employee. She quickly figured out what I was asking for (replacement dial knob for an old washing machine), she knew right where to go, went there with me and found the right part among the hundreds in stock. Brought it home and it worked perfectly! Saved me $40 compared to the 'official' replacement part I bought that didn't even work. My wife, who was with me, received similarly friendly service in her purchase of glue gun sticks and metal wire for a craft project. And, we got it all done in under 10 minutes! Couldn't imagine doing anything close to the same at the 'big box stores'. We highly recommend Ace!

Wow! What friendly help we received from Ace Hardware employee Carl today. My nephew, Vincent who is disabled and is confined to a battery operated wheelchair visited this store this evening with me. My nephew's wheelchair had lost a bolt that holds the arm that allows him to operate the wheelchair. Carl treated us royally, after we took the arm apart, Carl said he was sure he had a replacement bolt that would secure the arm. Once he provided the bolt he offered to install two new bolts on the arm and he had it fixed in 10 minutes.If that loose arm does not attach to the chair securely then Vincent cannot operate his chair. Vincent is a law student at the Michigan Law School and he needs that chair to get to class.The wheelchair company told Vincent that it would take 2 to 3 weeks for them to fix his chair so Carl was a real lifesaver for us.What a very friendly man and helpful employee Carl is. We couldn't thank him enough.I hope his manager sees this comment and thanks him for going the extra mile for their customers.

Only two employees working. The teenager at the front counter wasn’t clear on where to get the $90 dollar car key copy made. It’s literally the center of the store! Average prices. Shelves stocked to brim. The smell of oil, metal and all things “handyman” handy person? The worker at the Not Helpful kiosk was engaged with the customer before me. I put the timer on and sighed. Quickly finished and yup, addressed the man who came after me, while asking me what I wanted. Guilt crept in after my sarcasm and looking at him saying, “wow fast customer service” He looks at me as she fills out his return, of course he’s finished before me. I’m told that only a few people can do this key type. Actually, there was another teenager there, he tried to be helpful. Couldn’t do the key then and I have to make an appointment. The clerk said, my key will have to wait til she’s off of lunch, between 12 and 4, okay I’ll return at 1, after her lunch. What can one do? Ninety for a car key is better than a 300 dollar expense. Of course someone else would have been treated better and heck, even had the key made right then and there. Same ‘o, same ‘o.

Was in buying Christmas items, not totally sure why they don't take some items back...but the brand new lights I bought, one of the sets didn't work...so I wasted money on that LED set. Was also shocked at how some of the employees act to customers, used to shop there more when I lived closer, so I guess I will find another Ace or use one of the big box stores.

Five stars is not enough. Once again today they saved me money not selling me something I thought I needed. They were right. Best little hardware store in the area. Extremely helpful staff.This should be a new review but they only let me post one. Went here again today (5/12/23) with something specific I wanted to buy. They had it in stock; however, when I described what I needed it for, the always very helpful staff directed me to a better solution at 1/3rd of the cost. Ten Stars!

Refused us service. Said the machine wouldn't accept our 20, told us it was counterfeit. Strange because it came out of an ATM. They didn't have a marker to check it, however when I checked it at with a marker somewhere else, it was real. Incredibly rude, terrible customer service. Will not be coming back.

This is legitimately the best hardware store I’ve ever been to by far. My mom has dubbed it her “favorite store” so we just refer to it by that name now.Beyond having a unique, hand-picked selection of awesome items, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable.Today’s experience deserved 10 stars. I walked in expecting to buy some screws for my car’s license plate. An extremely friendly gentleman helped me by coming out to my car, unscrewing what was there, matching it inside, AND installing the new ones for me. Granted, my car was parked out front and it took only a few seconds with his drill, but the service and his standout attitude made my day.Thanks again “Mom’s Favorite Store” for never letting me down.

Under performing & underserving ; website shows merchandise in stock at specific locations then to find incorrect, told by store staff website is horrible, then ACE "Rewards" not only requires 99% of credit dollars given underder condition of minimum amount to be spent again but will NOT send credits that are redeemable at more than ONE location ! Hmm, is it thr franchise owners or corporate office that makes ACE a far less cunsumer, service directed retailer?

After going to Lowes and Home Depot, I decided to go to Aces. It's always had a more small hometown feel which I like and I feel like the people tend to be a bit more skilled in this store than the other 2 competitors.Anyways. After purchasing my mom a countertop dishwasher I was trying to find a faucet splitter or maybe a faucet adapter, or both? Really, I wasn't sure. Went to the 2 aforementioned places and they tried but weren't completely sure. Went to Aces and met a really cool man named Carl who told me about faucets and his experience with his own countertop dishwasher. We began to youtube and try and figure it out. Turns out the part I needed came with the dishwasher. Yet, he was gracious and laughed it off with me. I felt kind of bad but he was SO kind and thought the whole ordeal was comical; which was relieving after feeling like I had just wasted 15 minutes of his time. This will definitely become my FIRST stop instead of last when I'm heading to the hardware store.

I always have a great experience here. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a great selection of stuff to meet my needs. Today Karl really went above and beyond for me. I needed to change my license plate, but the screws holding my old plate on were all rusted up and immovable. Karl identified the right product to break up the rust, unscrewed the rusted screws and installed my new license plate for me, all without me asking. Truly above and beyond service - can’t recommend this store enough!

I had two very positive experiences both with the same young man but I didn't catch his name. The first was using an online purchase curbside pickup for WD-40 silicone to repair my treadmill in early December 2020. The young man was helpful, friendly and very courteous when finding my product and handling the transaction. I encountered him again recently (later in Dec 2020) when I came in to purchase a carbon monoxide detector as part of a home inspection. Although I arrived at the wrong Ace therefore the store didn't have my order, he went out of his way to help me find another product in the store. This young gentleman should be given praise for his courtesy. I have been coming to Ace for 40 years as I am from town. I appreciate their hard work and their safe and helpful staff being available during the pandemic.

I ordered a key online because Lowe's didn't have it in stock. I took it to Lowe's to have cut and the refused because I didn't buy it there, after I was stuck standing there waiting at the Key counter for 10 minutes. I took it to this Ace and they cut it for free and were fast and friendly. They even had the right in stock and still took care of it for me! Great store with friendly staff. Highly Recommend!

Such great service here! I am embarrassed to admit that I usually have no idea what I'm doing in a hardware store, but determined to fix things myself. Yesterday it was a 15-cent screw for my garage door opener (which I have been reassembling a couple times/day for weeks, usually while in my car trying to get in). It doesn't matter how small the job is, they always help me, they're always kind, and they're always right about the part I need.

I love this place. The employees are so helpful; especially the paint woman. They have a million, or so it seems, different items in that small space. It is always tidy, clean and well organized. The variety of products is incredible. The one on Staduim has even more variety but this one has the better small-town experience so I prefer here. I discovered a lavender air freshener here that I have been purchasing at Target, it is $2 LESS here than Target! Plus they have the Ace Rewards program so I get $5 and $10 coupons every other month or so.Highly recommend.

Love the employees. Everytime I go in there super helpful and find what I need. This place has alot of variety of seeds. I'm a home gardener and I love being able to grow so many different vegetables at a cheap price.Most seed pack are less than 2.50. I highly recommend.

A really nice ACE. Parking in front is tight and small so not sure if there are more spaces in the back. The store was well stocked and the cashier was very friendly. Plus they had plenty of salt for these wintry days.

We had two $5 coupons for different reasons. Went to purchase two cans of butane gas. Jenna said the computer wouldn't accept both as it thinks they are the same. So I asked her if we could ring each can up separately, then the computer would take them. Jenna went ahead and rang them up separately, but what an attitude! She was so rude after that. I said thank you after each transaction and all I got from her were passed off eye looks and my receipts tossed at me. I'm so use to ACE employees being overly friendly, but not at this ACE store, not the first time they have been less than friendly. Sorry Jenna I imposed on your day.

We stopped by to pick up a saw. The service here is fantastic. Every question we had was answered. They really go above and beyond at this store. The associate that helped us was Phoebe.We will be back.
