These sweet ladies took me in today for a nail trim. I know they are super busy with Christmas coming up but they got me in! Not only were they so nice for taking me but they gave me the BEST nail trim I have ever had!!! And they gave me a homemade yummy treat too!!! Mommy says we will go here from now on ❤️

Without a doubt, The Pampered Paw is the best dog groomer I've used. My squirmy nine-month-old poodle puppy isn't always the easiest to groom, but they've done an amazing job every time I've brought her in. They're very accommodating and their prices are reasonable. If your dog needs a trim, this is where you want to go!

I called in the morning hoping to get something in the next few days and to my surprise they got my dogs in for nail trims the same day. They were friendly and nice to my dogs. Definitely recommend.

We love Janet and the Pampered Paw! We’ve been bringing our senior rescue pup here for the past two years, and Janet’s level of care and thoughtfulness is unmatched. She is an absolute saint with even the most nervous and timid of dogs and you can tell how much she loves pets. She even has special kinds of treats and gives every pet a little bandana! And her grooming is so thorough and meticulous. We couldn’t recommend the Pampered Paw more highly and neither could our dog! Thank you, Janet!

Love this place! My dog loved the ladies who own and work here, and they seemed to love him. That's most important, caring for my fur baby. My very large furbaby! They do a wonderful job. They also offer nail trims at a very decent price in between grooming. At home nail trims are a major event with myself trying to lay on top of our boy to hold him down while my husband tries to do the trimming. There is much crying and it takes a long vwhile. These ladies trim his nails in about two minutes. He stands and lifts his paws for them with no problem. He loves his super hero bandana they put on him after his last grooming. I had to finally take it off and wash it before putting it back on him.

We live out of town and had forgotten to get our 7 month old flat-coated retriever’s nails done before we left home. I called that morning and they got him done that day. The woman (sorry, I don’t remember your name) was kind and loving to my boy. Since he is so young, it was important that this was a good visit for him. I am happy to say it was! She did a great job and now his big paws aren’t so lethal. I will remember this place as we come up to Alpena infrequently. Highly recommended!

We just rescued a senior Husky-Shepherd mix who’d never been groomed before, and we took him to Pampered Paw after reading reviews that mentioned how wonderful PP was with shy dogs/dogs that were new to being groomed. I can’t even begin to describe how far Janis at PP (and her sister, whom we met only briefly) exceeded our hopes and expectations. Our sweet old shelter dog looked like a brand new animal after his time with her: no more dandruff, his coat was soft and sleek and the shedding was reduced by about 90%, and even his paws were meticulously trimmed and shaped. What really impressed me, though, was that he also ACTED like a brand new dog—I’ve never seen him as calm and relaxed as he’s been this evening after his grooming session. Fellow dog owners, I’m sure you’ll agree that getting your dog groomed typically engenders the opposite response! What a miracle. Clearly PP is a very special place with very special people, and if you’re looking for a groomer, look no further. I certainly won’t. :)

Wonderful! I just moved back to the area from downstate, and my labradoodle's haircut turns out better then our previous groomer. It is such a relief to find a professional groomer, and my dog is happy when we arrive. I'm about to schedule our third appointment, and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Highly recommend.

Let me tell you... These ladies are miracle workers! My sweet boy HATES having his nails trimmed (my fault, I cut them too short once and nicked him). They got me in, got him done, and got me out in literally less than 5 minutes! He didn't whimper or yelp or struggle... They're super gentle and made an awful situation for me SO MUCH BETTER! This is the only place my dog will get his nails done! Thank you guys so much!

Took my dog in for the furmainator bath as she was shedding horribly. She's a jack Russell/ chihuahua and a half hr after dropping her off I picked her up and she looked and smelt great. And 1 wk later she still isn't shedding hardly at all. Amazingly friendly staff! Won't go any where again

She is great the only person that my roxxi will let cut her nails. The -1 star is because me n my husband work third shifts and they are closed everytime I need to take roxxi in. But other than that I have never had a problem taking my roxxi there.

She scalped my dog. I specifically asked for puppy cut all one length. When I picked him up he was shaved with long ears and tail, exactly what I asked they don't do.
