Terrible. Picked up medication (I've picked up before) he tried telling me the insurance doesn't cover it which it does. Then tried telling me when I picked up before the insurance should have never picked up on it and I should have had to pay... our insurance does cover that medicine. absolutely ridiculous. Switching back to the romeo location.They also gave my husband a hard time been filling his medication

Doctor called in medicine before noon and it still was not ready by 5:02 p.m. Was told to wait in parking lot for 25 minutes if i leave it will not be ready till tomorrow morning. Medicine contained 2 pain killer prescriptions for three teeth that were removed.

I don’t quite get all of the very low reviews. I have read them and my experiences have been far different than what many others have shared.I have used this Rite Aid for nearly 8 years. I normally fill 2-3 prescriptions per month so have been here well over 200 times. When the medicines were ready I received the texts stating so and I had the option of paying electronically ahead of time. A few times my insurance company has refused to fill a particular prescription because it is not the generic they want and Rite Aid has always been able to make calls and get it worked out so I get the meds that I need.I give them 4 stars rather than 5 because to get 5 from me everything has to be pretty much perfect. My only concerns happened when I tried to fill a couple prescriptions and they were going to charge $300 each when I could get one for $15 and the other for $30 at another pharmacy affiliated with a hospital and that was without insurance. That actually is not the fault of this location but more Rite Aid pricing as a whole. I did speak with the pharmacist at the other lower priced pharmacy and he said the reason for the price discrepancy is usually bulk buying resulting in lower drug prices.I want to address customer service as that has been pointed out in some of the other reviews. Working retail is tough. Customers can be rude or worse and that makes for a rough day. For that reason I try to be friendly to the staff no matter what. I always see the staff working hard to satisfy customers.I am happy this is my go to pharmacy and drugstore!

Years ago, I felt compelled to write a review on this store. I dreaded each month that I had to go in and renew my prescription and suffer the wrath of a disgruntled employee. To her credit, the head pharmacist, Linda, took the time to apologize for said employee and things got better for awhile. Now, it seems as if it's my fault that "we're five days behind," when I went to pick up my dog's refill. According to another (perhaps disgruntled?) employee, I should have talked to a human, rather than use the automated renewal process over the phone that I've used for the past four years. (My senior dog takes daily thyroid meds which keep his fur on his body.) Alas - this is my final farewell to Almont Rite Aid. At 72, I'm too old to deal with people who obviously hate their jobs and don't think my dog's needs are worth their time. (Nor am I worth a smile or anything but a sarcastic dismissal.)

With such a huge nation wide shortage so many people are going without the proper medication. When I was given a prescription for an alternative drug by my doctor and the Rite Aid I was using didn't have it, I called the Almont Rite Aid. I was told they had it and as soon as I did all the proper calling and running around (which I think is bogus that a patient has to do) they could fill it. Almost 24 hours later I call to see when it could be filled. I was then told that they didn't have the medication, they've never had it and wouldn't be able to get it for me four more days, at the earliest. If I had known this was the case I wouldn't have switched it in the first place. I have gone a month without the proper medication, and now I have been lied to and made to wait even longer. Extremely disappointing.

When I went there, I wanted my prescriptions sent there. Over the phone I was told they close at 7, and when I went in at 6:30, they told me they closed an hour early. When I asked when the pharmacy opened, they told me 9 and they opened at 10. When I called to figure out if they got my prescriptions, they only said “yes” and hung up immediately with no other information. I had my medication sent to a different pharmacy. This pharmacy is lazy, rude, careless, and honestly a sad excuse for a pharmacy.

I used to LOVE it here. But my doctor called on trulicity for my diabetes. Great med, they said it would be there the next day. I go after 6pm and she said "it's on backorder and I have no idea when we will get it, have your doctor call in something else!" This is the med he wanted me on. I called Rite Aid in Romeo and got it the next day. They said there was no backorder and they get it from the same place Almont does. Said there was definitely no backorder. I called Trulicity to see if there were backorder problems in the area. He said absolutely not. Do your homework. They honestly gave me a bit of a attitude when I asked questions to.

The bad reviews make me sad. The people who work in the pharmacy have never been anything but nice. My only complaint would be that I had to have a Covid test for work, and while they did warn me it would be 2-7 days for results (which is too long), I assumed it really wouldn't take that long. I'm on day ELEVEN, and still no results. (I've had 2 diff negative PCR tests within that time frame). If they can't produce results in an efficient time frame, they should partner with a different company, or no longer offer testing.

This Rite Aid, specifically the PHARMACY department has the absolute WORST customer service! After moving to the area, my family and I needed a new pharmacy and in almost a year I have not only had terrible customer service, but the most rude, unprofessional, unhelpful staff I have ever encountered. Even in the phone, they are incredibly rude and make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them! I wish I could give them 0 stars. It's very unfortunate because it's the only pharmacy within 10-15 miles but after trying multiple occasions with different staff, I just refuse to return. My last encounter, I waited at the drive-they window for a prescription with my 2 young children in the car. I waited and then turned around to see a pharmacist just rolling her eyes, staring at me. When I said "hello" because she just looked at me. She responded with "yep, can I help you?" The entire experience was jusr like every other time I have been there. These are mostly the pharmacists themselves, the technicians are usually more friendly but are learning from the pharmastics too.

What I've learned about Good Rx, since I've educated myself. Registering your card with Rite Aid did nothing, staff disregarded it. Thing to do is download the Good Rx app. By doing so I learned my prescription cost $166 with insurance, paid $122 with Good Rx at Rite Aid last month (there's a coupon for $65, which was disregarded) BUT the same prescription is $48 at Kroger.So thank you for encouraging me to learn the system!Today, I got prescriptions refilled at Rite Aid in Imlay City. Over the phone, customer service came back & told me the Good Rx prices! THAT'S WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE!

Whether it's just shopping in the store or the pharmacy , it's usually a good experience. Clean store, most employees are friendly and willing to assist. Good store manager .20+ year customer. Thankyou Rite aid !

I agree with some of the other comments...Hannah, is by far, the most pleasant and only pleasant person to deal with at this pharmacy. There are several extremely rude pharmacists working here. It would be really nice to see whoever manages this pharmacy, to clean house. It the most unprofessional pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Like other users commented, it's extremely unfortunate due to their convenient location.Yesterday, I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that was ready. There were two people there (one was a newer person, a guy). They both looked at me occasionally over the course of 13 minutes and neither of them even bothered to say, "We'll be right with you". Over the span of those 13 minutes, the new guy took several drinks of his beverage and blew his nose, as if he was bored. After 13 minutes and now 6 people lined up behind me, the lady pharmacist (dark hair) finally called for help, then she walked over slowly to help me. The woman who came from the front of the store to help, made it back to the pharmacy before the pharmacist made her way over to the desk to help me.This is only one instance, out the countless negative experiences I've had over the past three years with this pharmacy. I dread going there every time. Like another user commented about people rolling their eyes,this is actually a very common occurrence, along with audible sighs when the pharmacists see a customer waiting.Again, Hannah is the only nice, courteous person working there (along with the indian-looking woman who I haven't seen in quite awhile.) Sorry I don't know her name but she was also very nice.

So disappointed with the pharmacy. Just moved to the area and switched my pharmacy. However, I will be switching back because the ladies who run the pharmacy are some of the rudest people I have ever delt with. The first time I went they had lost my prescription and I asked if they could remake it and they said it would take 45 minutes so I told them I was going to run some errands I'd be back in 45 minutes. However that is not allowed and they told me if I did that it was going to be 2 hours and they'd be closed. So today I went back to get my prescription and I was faced with nothing but rudeness, when pressing the call button and waiting two minutes then pressing it again thinking they must not have heard me. A lady (same as the last time I came) comes up to the drive through saying "I heard you the first time" in a snotty tone. I understand people have off days but twice in a row is not acceptable and will know be driving out of my way to practically any other pharmacy!

I've finally made the decision, after a number of years, to leave this Rite Aid. There are two pharmacy clerks I deal with regularly, Hannah and Ilene , when getting my monthly prescriptions. Hannah is one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with, but Ilene seems to go out of her way to demean and belittle me each month. Today was the last straw as she waved her finger in my face while saying, "just stop!" I'm glad I retired when I did, however, some folks (like this woman) seem to see us as just annoying old people. I will miss Hannah...Update: I now look forward to going to the pharmacy as the one problem employee is no longer there. I love seeing Hannah, Linda and all the other pharmacists/techs each month. They know me by name and always have something nice to say. They even make sure I get the best price on medications.

When we moved to Almont 4 years ago, going into the pharmacy was the worst!Now, 5/2021; employees are happy, friendly and helpful!Thank you for all the hard work, and putting customer care back in our Almont pharmacy, it has not went unnoticed!! 🖤🧡

Always out of medications, my mother has had to skip TWENTY doses of her eye drops because this pharmacy orders all refills and medications at the very last minute. Every medication i have ever gotten from here has been more than a 2 day wait. Also pharamacy only ordered one dose at a time even though we have 4 refills. why wouldn’t you just order them all at the same time so when we come to pick them up we aren’t screwed for four days because you haven’t ordered the refills yet? very inconvient pharmacy.

The pharmacist is rude and cares more about COVID vaccines and COVID testing where they make more money. However, they are a pharmacy first and rite aid needs to remember that and put filling it’s patients medications above all else! There are plenty of other providers providing COVID testing and vaccination.They don’t call or notify you if there’s an issue with filling your prescription and never want to fill meds at the appropriate times.

The slowest service I've ever had, and just incredibly incompetent. They don't seem to know whats going on. Nothing is ever ready on time, waiting for days on medications and getting calls that it's ready then you go pick it up just to find out it will be an additional 30 minute wait, or it's not even there at all..... What happened to 15 min? Rude pharmacy staff who rolls their eyes when you ask about your meds.

Hannah is the best employee of anywhere I have ever went but clearly at front desk was rude today. The sale signs of buy one get one free in the cosmetics should be bigger and detailed. I payed full price when I thought it was buy one get one free. I won’t be back in store to purchase only the pharmacy because of Hannah

I would put 0 if possible. The staff is so rude and uninviting. No one ever greets you. They always just stare and act like you’re up to no good. Also, the pharmacy never has anything ready on time and is always quick to cop an attitude with you for no reason at all. Needs new employees!!

Horrible pharmacist. I watched her sit around and do nothing then approach the technicians and insult them while they do their job. She's not god.Shame on rite aid for allowing this type of person run their pharmacy. I will never step foot into another rite aid store. I will do my business with meijer. Rite needs to find another pharmacist who is more competent, respectful, and adequate for the job. It's not rocket science to treat coworkers and customers with respect.

Terrible .Went to get my prescriptions At 9 o'clock a.m. guy told me if I waited there it would be ready in a 1/2 an hour ,and if I left it Wouldn't be ready until 2:00 p.m. so I left came back at 3 still is not ready have to wait for them to fill it still. what a joke. Think they could hire monkeys to do a better job. Shame on you people.

Got automated call two different times saying our prescription was was ready for pickup only to drive there two different times and be told it was not ready. Was told the call goes out before it is actually filled. How smart is that?????

UPDATE ON 3/22/23 i called in to refill my script after they refused to fill day before hung up on me twice deleted my prescription and tried to deny it to my doctorShe told me to find new place and said they are pursuing complaint against them DISHONEST RUDE HATEFUL PEOPLE who do not deserve a dime of my money great thing about reviews when enough of a very poorly run business are posted people take notice and find a better alternative Rite Continues to Employ the worst of the workforce talent and its not first time was treated poorly at a location but this location should be avoided AT ALL COSTS do yourself a favor go to a CVS Kroger Ect.... you will thank me for it i promise you that Thank you to customer service for reaching out i have contacted you twice about issues The Indian lady who manages this location is the one who fosters bad environment until she is replaced with someone who is honest and friendly i will not shop at rite aid
