2/13/2024 @approximately 3pm & check out lane #20 (I didn’t get her name) but she was great! Honestly! The reason I’m pointing this out is bc lately we’ve had some pretty unpleasant cashiers. Not just this location but also in Gaylord. & it’s nice to see a greeter at the doors too:) Store was pretty clean & things in place. Bathroom was clean also.

The gentleman greeting customers on the customer service side does an amazing job. He is so friendly and nice. I’m glad Walmart has someone like him.Also I want to say I feel bad for the pharmacy workers. Our local Walgreens shut down and now they have to deal with the over flow from there. My prescription was called in the day before and was received by the pharmacy. Went in the next day to be told they have not processed it yet and it will be at least 30 minutes. I get that you are now more busy than usual with the up tick in customers but a full 24 hours later and you haven’t even started to process my prescription. You can see the stress that this is causing on the workers because of having to deal with grumpy customers. There attitudes and demeanor has gone down hill. There has to be a balance and understanding not just between the customer but also the workers. I hope it gets better for them.

If it wasn't convenient I'd visit else were. I understand employees have a job to do but my shopping is impeded everytime I try to visit an isle by employees with the online shopping carts being left in the middle of the isle or cutting me off from retrieving my items. And pallets of items are left at end caps which make navigation more difficult than it needs to be.

Management is cheap there's a policy the cashiers and the service desk are not allowed to sell quarters," we don't make any money on quarters".Refused to give couple of dollars in my change, company policy.Wanted to buy a power cord for my PC and told them I wanted to test it as I had the computer right there they said I wasn't allowed to do that I had to buy the power cord first take it up to the service desk and they would plug it in up there and could test it up there and if it didn't work or didn't fit then I could get a refund.Store has problems with the concept of customer service.Gerald

Of the two Wal-Marts I personally shop at this is my least favorite. It just feels more clustered and inconvenient compared to St. Johns. Still has all the basic stuff you would need for a quick in and out though.

I was pleased to see security was on par, and the team members kept the sales floor clean and easy to get around; even when they were working hard at the re-mod. Gracey helped me find some popcorn, and was polite when she told me she was helping another customer before me, but would be right with me. Big ups to her for treating every guest with a friendly attitude; even if I could tell she had a lot to get done.

Standing in line with 6 people at customer service and watch the team lead walk by twice and then proceed to go out and grab her lunch while her co worker is by herself slammed. Not a very good example of a "coach" I've sacrificed my meal time plenty of jobs I've worked to help my co workers and I wasn't a leader. Would've taken her 5 minutes to help clear the line up before she went and ate.

Worst Walmart I’ve ever seen. The management is horrible and I literally can’t believe some of the things I’ve seen from them, taking advantage of associates and not following proper processes to name a few. Every time I go in there I see or hear something that makes my opinion of the store that much lesser. Sad that some people are allowed to have free rein and run a store into the ground like this one. Jen is one of the most incompetent managers I’ve ever seen and makes me embarrassed to shop here, not sure why or how she’s in the position she’s in but hopefully they’ll do their performance reviews and realize who they have running that store, she is rude, targets employees, has no work ethic, and strongly contributes to a negative experience for both customers and employees alike.

Why do your employees always hawk over everyone when they go through the self checkout? Aren't the security cameras all over the place enough? Do you always assume everyone is a criminal the same way your corporate greed is criminal? Still.

The employees keep this place insanely clean, for a Walmart. Not a fan of how I get treated but it's retail and /a Walmart/ so if you go in expecting a stellar attitude prepare to get heartbroken cuz Walmart as a corporation treats their employees like slaughterstock. That said, this Walmart is really pretty inside (I'm used to the ratty one in Mt Pleasant) but I'm told the one here is what most of them look like nowadays. Who'd of thought? 😂 anyway, if you're looking for a Walmart that actually has most of its products in the right place and you're in the area, go to this one and not the one in MtP

Appalling Customer Service. Bought an AT&T prepay phone via click and collect Registered it correctly. but within an hour had no service. Travelled to Alma 4 times to get this resolved. Was told my top-up had been rejected because I wasn't American (I'm a polite English senior visiting my daughter and her new baby) and I'd used a non American card. Tried again with a different card. Same problem. Told my card had been rejected as it wasn't American. Told to use cash. Bought a top up with cash. Same problem.Subsequently checked with my banks. Both transactions had gone through so $90 down.Visited AT&T store who changed SIM in case it was faulty. Phone worked 60 mins then failed again. AT&T identified Walmart had not scanned the phone out and registered it as sold. So it had been blacklisted as a stolen phone and was essentially bricked. No option but to return it to Walmart. Every trip (5) was a 46 mile return journey.Went back to Alma Walmart and things got worse. Walked in with phone and original packaging. Alarms went off, security stopped me. Anti theft tags not removed. Had to prove it wasn't stolen. Huge queue at customer service. 1 position of 5 open.Eventually was told I'd need to speak to a technology colleague. From the moment I spoke to Team Leader charlene all I got was bad attitude. I mean bad. No hello. No how can I help. Just a yeh. First response was it was my fault because I should've not bought a phone on click and collect. Then tried to claim I'd voided the warranty by letting AT&T look at it. She couldn't refund or replace as the sim was not original. She couldn't replace it because I'd not brought the original Usb. No she couldn't replace it and take the cable from the replacement because that was against policy. Each time I challenged her she said "I'll need to speak to management" and would then disappear for 15 minutes at a time. Several other similar blocks were put in the way. Really really petty ones. And also left me standing while she seemingly did various other unrelated tasks. This allowed me to regard the work environment. The words bullying comes to mind. Over an hour later I left. Never a word of apology. I had general shopping to do but did it in Meijer. Never ever again.

I was there just for an eye exam, so can't say much about the rest of the store, but, WM is WM.The vision center was under renovation, but no worries.Optometrist was very knowledgeable and professional.

Walmart is fast becoming the worst department store ever. They expect you to self checkout then has the nerve to ask for a receipt. If you want to know what I paid for, have regular checkouts open. I am not going to bag my own groceries & then prove I paid for them.

I went to Walmart in Alma to cash in my bottles, and get some groceries. I was waiting for five minutes and no came to empty the bins. So I decided to go get help, one of the workers there said they will call someone. I waited another five minutes until someone finally came.other then that, my grocery shopping went smoothly. The cashier was very friendly.

I've never had a bad experience here. Great store with about anything you could need. There is also online pickup so you don't even have to go into the store if you don't have to.
