Love this down home pet shop!!! They have parakeets, bunnies, Guinea pigs, a pacman frog, chameleon, hamsters, feeder mice, mealworms, and others. They also have a larger selection of anything pet related with VERY educated and knowledge staff handy. My youngest got a baby turtle last minute and they had everything I needed to get him set up right away at a respectful price. Thanks guys!

My birds ive had for 4 years are now sick and going to die because of this place. I brought home the best bird and he died in 3 days. He was fine the first two and got sick and died the third day. In ONE DAY. supposedly he had a vet visit, but wht kind of vet doesnt know a bird is sick. Birds dont get sick overnight they are sick for weeks or months before they suddenly die. But they had a vet checkup and went though the quarentine so its fine right. U should all be ashamed of yourselves. Now my babies who have been healthy and happy are going to die cuz of you evil people. How do you sleep at night knowng u kill animals for a living

My husband and I have shopped here for years. Great family owned business, very knowledgeable, very helpful. Great variety of foods, (if they have something they can usually get it in for you), supplies and a nice little assortment of small animals. We stopped in here for the first time this past weekend. Good selection of pet supply. We were met at the door by Leo the adorable floppy-eared rabbit and Gizmo the clinically insane kitten with huge amounts of energy LOL. I would like to see them carry more bird feeders however.

Well I was told if your not happy with dog food you could bring it back. The owner knew I was trying food for my dog new to area . I took back 5 around I guess the owner female decided it was no longer applicable immediately I felt shamed and spoken down to. So I was going to give small business a chance over Amazon were all food is exchangeable or refunded because they send back to manufacture that's what she the owner lead me to believe. Now she did but at end she talked down to me and the associates were frightened. I could tell because when took one back they questioned me then I bought a small bag sampler basically as I felt shamed and the associates didn't even want to release my receipt from her clutching hands knuckles white lol. My gosh I thought I'm not going to feel like a low life for doing what owner female said was ok til It Wasn't right? So I decided right then Amazon was easy, nice and didn't have poor attitude and there associates are friendly and didn't even want anything but your happiness for there customer and dog. Redbird owner and her associates were so scared of her wrath they feared giving a receipt I was like man I don't need this. They should of kept me around as I would of bought allot more as finally found at end right one at there store "the last bag" but attitude and control was her problem to make you feel bad for nothing other than what her words told me. So it's to bad as I have $$ and could of been great customer. But she made it uncomfortable and talked down to me. Little do they realize how much more it cost. A valuable customer that would buy more than food. But in end it's how your treated that makes or breaks a small business. My advice poor business since as I finally found right one there but to hurt to go back. Guess there a lesson to be learned here . Don't blame big companies that treat customers well for your failing small business look in mirror and take accountability when people that work for you are scared of your wrath too. It's not big business it's your action. To female owner. You lost customer who could of brought even more business as I live among many. Truth needs to be heard so a lesson can be taken away.

Quite possibly one of the greatest little “family” businesses I’ve ever encountered. The staff is always pleasant and helpful, on an occassion or 2 when flying from work and catching them right at 7pm closing time they have unlocked the door to let me in and help with my pet food needs. Prices are very reasonable, clean well kept store and quality of products is solid. The owners work on a regular basis and I love visiting with them when I come in, their dogs usually behind the register and of course Baby the African Grey (who doesn’t like some people but let’s me pet her every time lol) 5 stars, 2 thumbs WAY UP and I will always recommend them to anyone. Kudos to the staff and owners for keeping with great customer service and quality products. Thank you!!

Best place to go in a small town. They try hard to give you a good pet and the care you need for one. They also carry a wide variety of high-end food for your furry family members. Only place around. I can get food for my parrot and snakes without going to MountPleasant!!!!

We Love it! Everyone is so helpful ,feel like I've known them for ages...actually we have 😏😊 I remember when his father ran the store,such a nice,laid back kind of gentleman. Love the small family owned businesses....my father owned "Arts Farm Market"east of Breckenridge for over 30 years.Its nice going in & being greeted by their 3 dogs.....sometimes cats lying around....Shirley the Tortoise out for a stroll & the Bird that meows....LOL

The staff is ALWAYS super friendly. They have quality products and their pets actually live when you adopt them unlike other pet stores. Which is important. They take good care of their animals, clean store, fair prices, they almost always have what im looking for in stoke. My go to place for small animals, crickets for my beardie, and treats for my dogs.

Awesome local pet store! Great service! They treat me like family. I always look forward to buying crickets for my lizard because I get to see super friendly people with smiles. They always give more crickets than we pay for. They don't count each and every cricket out like they do at PetSmart in Mount Pleasant. Welcome to local business rather than corporation.

I love this place. I love the fact that they have a little selection of small animals. I visit them every time I come in to get Timothy Hay for my guinea pigs. I also love how they divide some Timothy Hay up and separate bags so you can buy them in smaller quantities if you want.

Pleasant, laid back atmosphere. Employees are friendly and helpful. Enjoy looking in their pet room at the giant friendly turtle and hamsters and other critters. There is a bird by the counter that isn't too fond of people. You may speak to it but don't let it get close enough to bite you, as it will happily do so..

I have been going there for about 6 years, They have good products but there Friendly Service is outstanding. Also Fetch a Do Grooming is in the same building and I use to drive from Hersey,Mi. to get my Border Collie groomed by them for the same reasons 1 stop for all your needs and great service. By the way Hersey is a 150 mile round trip and worth ever the time and money .

Everyone here is absolutely wonderful! I've never experienced anything of what Allison is talking about, and I've been a customer for a decade at least...., it sounds to me like she has a dangerous breed that she doesn't supervise properly, and she's pissed someone pointed it out. That kind of stuff happens a lot in these little towns, unfortunately.Redbird staff is kind, knowledgeable, and the prices are some of the best I've found. It is definitely worth the drive to Redbird in Alma.
