My roommate and I avoid fresh produce/fridge and freezer aisles due to having seen it out on the carts for hours on end before they put them away (we were having a hard time selecting candy that day), management talks in circles and doesn’t respect anyone’s time but their own, management also turns away Indeed applicants personally, my friend who used to work there had been told personally by them as if it was an achievement. They don’t respect accommodations for customers or employees. My friend was gaslit into thinking they gave her the schedule when they told her they had a special password and would get to it on start day, which she was to be contacted but they never did until they were putting her on the schedule knowing she didn’t have access and threatened to fire her because of it over phone when they finally called her after calling her mom whom is in a different state entirely. One of them personally told her they use their disability via staying near the bathroom as a way to avoid customers. During her shift that person was either avoiding customers, hiding in the office, or talking to friends that stopped by, I personally witnessed her catch an attitude with a customer because he was her “annoying neighbor”.My friend says she regrets working there. They make the cashier stock everything while managers sit in the offices instead of having another person on hand to stock so the cashier is free to help customers or stock front when not busy, it’d also be easier to get the store organized and cleaned if three people were working rather than two.My friend told me the training videos look odd because the store is clean and looks nothing like this one. Good for quick trips if you can maneuver through their stock carts that block accessibility for disabled customers and is a fire hazard, best to use self checkout due to employee shortages and attitude.

Wouldn't come here again just got yelled at by the manager for not seeing a really small sign on the self checkout that Says "5 items or less". Very rude and un-professional

The staff were clueless when they over charged me, I bought two towels for 3.50 it was buy one get one free and, they charged me 4.50 plus tax, I didn’t know until after I payed and the cashier said it was close enough because they couldn’t get the code to work. I tried to explain, what the price would be after tax, but they were clueless. I didn’t want to argue over 1.60, I will not be returning

Would not recommend I worked here and got treated poorly and than today my husband and I went in to get a few items and got yelled at by the manager because we didn’t see the sign on the self checkout won’t be coming here again

Worst Dollar General I've ever been in!!!!!Isles are too narrow you couldn't even fit your cart through not even wheelchair.There's so much stuff stacked in the aisles.So much stuff on the floorsAnd you find bleach by the bread which is hazardous material by food. I've never been in a Dollar General that is in such bad shape. The store is in such chaos I've never seen such a mess. also you can barely get in the door something needs to be done.Fire trap!!!Should be taken care of.

The first impression of this place is terrible. The building should be condemned. Also the inside of the store is a disorganized disaster. It's a dump. I went in there once and will never ever return. It should be shut down and rebuilt. Dollar generals can be really nice, but this one is by far the worst.

Nice place to run in and grab quick instead of going to the big box store. In and out quick. Plenty of parking. Store is pretty clean but the isles are narrow.Not really a complaint but the cashier may have just stopped drinking before her shift started. I mean if I can smell it thru her mask my mask and the plastic shield like it wasn't there. Lol. Good times.

I dont like leaving bad reviews but the store was kind of a disaster boxes everywhere.. sections aren't organized very well have some health and beauty stuff by food and the rest on the other side of the store .. I've only been to this location maybe 3x it's the worst I've seen it maybe have some employees get extra hours staying after store closes to fill shelves. Cashier was very nice and polite so it's not just a bad review .

The people in the store were so kind and helpful. I had my two small grandchildren shopping and they wanted balloons and a few other things in the store. So needless to say my grandchildren are 1 years of age and three years of age we were a bit unorganized and excited .

Friendly staff and great for last minute items or items I forgot to grab at the store. Most the time greeted when I walk in. Only complaint would be sometimes the aisles are a bit cramped with extra 'middle' racks.. mostly by the cards and beauty items.

Every time I come here I have to sit and wait for someone to come to the cash register. Once they come up there they act like you’re a huge inconvenience to them. The lady wanted to go smoke outside but sense I wanted to checkout she acted like “ugh seriously?” And didn’t say a word to me the whole time. No one is ever around to help and it’s always a huge mess. Nothing is organized. Aisles are always blocked with boxes of things and you can barely fit through them. Disgusting place. Won’t be spending my money here anymore. I always go to the one in saint Louis! TRASH

I like coming here for things I run out of. During Christmas time they have Washburns hard and filled candies which are my favorite. Plus they have prices comparable to other stores in the area. They are right down the street from me which makes it convenient.

Dollar general clerk , Alma Michigan stop being in such a hurry if it's to difficult to ask if I want a receipt don't ask just give me the receipt! There is no reason to be so rude I was nice to you why not have a little respect for the customers and your self! O and have a nice day 😁😁😁 ! Was that since hard try it!!

I like that it is large well stocked variety of merchandise. Too the service is well informed and polite ready to assist. A nice small town feel about the place as am from a little town a bit away.

Typical Dollar Store. Too much stuff crammed in a small building. Don't get me wrong, I do shop at a lot of dollar stores. And I understand when there is stock that there will be some boxes or totes sitting around. But this one had the long metal carts filled with items, which were end to end through out the entire store. You could barely get through some of the aisles. I even had to climb on the bottom ledge of one just to reach around it to get what I needed. OK to go to, but get their stock schedule to avoid the hassel of all the carts in your way.

While Dollar General's pushing out of local businesses and producing massive waste is one thing, the people on staff at this one in particular have little to no care for being there. I get it, we all have rough days, but it is hard to find a time when someone in here is fully doing their job. Whether you agree or not, keep your mask on out of consideration. Someone should always be at the register, and when you are, be kind. Make eye contact. Talk to the customer. I apologise to any Dollar General employees who take their job seriously.

Aisles are ALWAYS filled with bins. Can be really frustrating trying to get to something that's blocked 80% of the time. Even harder to navigate if using a walker, wheelchair, crutches, etc. That's how clutttered it is. UPDATE: this store needs to be taken out of its misery. No change with the condition of the store and when I picked up a throw blanket, it made noise. I checked it out and THERE WAS AN OPEN PACKAGE OF ASPIRIN INSIDE! SERIOUSLY! I let the worker there know and boy did she look like a ray of sunshine ( i mean that sarcastically)! Its sad when I would rather drive 20 miles out of my way to a different DG than this joke of a store!

I personally have never had a problem there. Always friendly and helpful. Sometimes the store is messy and cluttered but that is rare and understandable .

I do agree that the staff seems stuck in quicksand and there are always a lot of boxes of stock just laying around. But..I still very much enjoy going there.

Store is very unorganized and there was stuff EVERYWHERE! Not sure if it was stock day or what but they had carts and carts and carts full of stuff everywhere throughout the store and was completely blocking the 2 things I needed..

I like Dollar General in Alma but there is one lady that is not very friendly and seems to hate her job. I don't care to go in when she's working.

Clerks are very nice and helpfully, Carrie a lot of product and most of all convenient location and comparable to Meijer, walmart I have saved a tone of gas
