I love this Meat Market! Meat is always so fresh and the staff are wonderfully friendly 🙂 which makes our long drive there worthwhile. I strongly recommend their freshly made smoked ribs. So darn good! We always bring paper plates,napkins and a drink to eat them right in the parking lot or a nearby park. Their smell is so overwhelming and tempting that we can't wait to bite into the delicious ribs. They only except Cash or checks only. Come visit this wonderful locally owned business. I have been traveling 40 miles for the passed 15 years to support this wonderful Meat Market. Thank you for the smiles and your service.

Update: they do take cards, but there’s an extra fee. Cash/check preferredHigh quality steaks, sausage, chicken, pork, etc. and at reasonable prices. They’re very welcoming and if you don’t see something in the case they can probably cut exactly what you need from the back. I buy pretty much all my meat from them.

Used to be my go to. Went yesterday. In my past experiences it had never smelled as badly as it did. The meat looked dried out and discolored. Wish we had just turned around and left. Bought some soup bones went to roast them today and they made my house smell of off( turned) meat. Will be sticking to sobies from now on

Nothing here but high quality meat and old fashioned service. One of their ribeyes I grilled up. So juicy and fresh. Do yourself a favor, get the better steak and support local while doing it.

This is still the best fresh meat I've found in the area. Chicken, pork and beef. They also make their own jerky, and on Saturdays they slow roast ribs and they are ready to eat and delicious. Friendly and they now take credit cards.

The meat is fresh.I picked up 5 pounds of hamburger.Plus a pack of pork chops it had 9 in it.Their cost beat the grocery stores on meat. Specially hamburger.Very nice and helpful employees.Remember it's cash or check only no food stamps or credit or debit cards.

I absolutely LOVE going in here. You can’t get better service ANYWHERE!!! They are so incredibly helpful and they are TOP MEAT PROFESSIONALS 🤗. If they don’t have something out — just ask about it. They go ABOVE and BEYOND, out of their way, to provide what you need.I was looking for a particular kind of animal FAT and didn’t see any behind the glass meat-case. The lady there went to the back and brought out a big O box and asked me how much I needed. SO KIND, So accommodating and so precious! They have a GREAT SELECTION of BEEF, PORK, and CHICKEN. Large sections, or they will CUT the meat exactly to your preference. They also have a variety of JERKEY and sausages 😋🤫 ShhhhhYou won’t beat their prices anywhere! I am SO BLESSED to live so close by. But people do travel from different areas to get what they need.NOTE: they do have a sign posted that the meat market will be closing for a while beginning JANUARY 1st, 2023. I pray that it is just for some WELL DESERVED R&R.Don’t miss your opportunity to get great meat at a great price from great Butchers ♥️

Update: 2020 Still my favorite! This is now my go to place for meat. They make their own jerky and Saturday they have amazing ready to eat smoked ribs! I've been here twice now. Their meat is fresh, tastes great when you get it home and cook it. Love this place, reminds me of the meat lockers from when I was a kid. Great meat, reasonably priced, worth the trip. Pork, beef, chicken, even dog bones, side shelves sport other local items....honey, pickles.Atmosphere is great, friendly people. They're popular and busy. They don't take credit or debit cards, so don't forget to bring cash.

Cash only. Pretty sour staff. They handled three different meats and cash, bare handed, no hand washing. There's a smell to this place, and it penetrates everything. Just cooked some pork chops, and the smell is still in it. And it's not a "mmm fresh" smell.It seems like a filthy place with classic West Michigan "small town" manners, which means "We don't know you, so we don't like or want you here"

I love going and getting my meat from here. Prices went up but everything has no matter where you shop. German weiner, Brats, Keilbasa etc... are all made fresh. Big selection of meats.

Nice people, bad meat. Not sure what that smell is in there, but everything in the case tastes like it too. Just smoked a butt for 14 hours and the skin still tastes like it soaked in embalming fluid with a hint of smoke. Multiple experiences like this. Last time for me!

This place has the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life.Sat at the register for 20 min while every worker in the store Ignored us. Not one word was spoken to us at all and when we tried saying something to them they just walked away. Not only that but also they were all maskless. Which in normal times it's no big deal but now it is a big deal.Absolutely horrible place to shop. We will never return and we will be telling others about this experience.

Cheap cuts of meats...Wasn't impressed with anything, but the price is quite good. Sales people should smile a bit, looked like they don't like being there or something. But, heck, all I wanted was meat, and got 'em. Who cares about smile, right?

Holy wow rude! I’ve been trying to get to this butcher for 6 months. I can never make it out to allendale in time to try their meats(I work 9-5). Finally, today on a Saturday, I was able to make it out here and they had just closed. I called and somebody picked up, I asked if he could make an excepted for 4 tbones and I would pay extra, he says, “WE ARE DONE THANK YOU” and hangs up the phone. Holy moly man sorry you’re having a bad day it’s called customer service you should learn some manners. Whether or not you are willing to make an exception for me you don’t have to be plain rude. Would never recommend or come back. Skip this Place and go to “Bobs butcher block”Great people and product, always super friendly and willing to give you a smile.

Much bigger inside than it looks. The TARDIS of meat market. There must have been a dozen workers, with at least 4-5 at the counter. We purchased half a cow, about 145# cut and shrink wrapped steaks, ribs, hamburger, etc, for less per pound than Meijer charges for hamburger.
