This grocery store has the title, THE ONLY GROCERY STORE IN ALBION ! Their prices on name brand items reflect that. They do offer a generic brand of most everything canned, packaged, bagged, just not fresh cut meats, that are low priced. Not where I would recommend buying fresh vegetables or fruit as prices are higher than average grocery stores. The bakery is great for fresh donuts, cakes, etc. And priced lower than the one other bakery shop we have in town, compared to them. It is a clean groc.store, and all the cashiers, clerks, and baggers are friendly and willing to help you find what you're looking for. They are all professional and the best asset this store has. They do have a pharmacy inside this store. They provide vaccinations for Covid, flu, etc. They are also busy since Albion has only two in town. They are helpful, friendly, and very professional.

Very good customer service. Needed a fresh Turkey for Thanksgiving the night before, last minute, and Cathy at the Customer Service desk was fabulous! She hooked me right up!!! Thank you. Was only my second time there shopping. Will be shopping there again.

Kim is awesome, very efficient, helpful and fast!! She knows how to take care of customers.Went in at 8:45 am and 3 employees were just standing around talking 1 cashier working NO bottle return open was told I had to wait at least 20 minutes before the one person could come and open it. Went ahead did my shopping and checked out cashier was nice went to purchase a money order and asked any one of the 3 that was standing right by the service desk for a money order and they rudely pointed at a sign that said closed until 9:00 they definitely showed me why I hate mornings!!!! Will make sure I go in at night when Kim works or I won't go in.

They need more cashiers most of the time. Clean store and can usually find what I need. Overpriced in my opinion

Eggs are 5.50 at Family Fare and 3.99 at Dollar General. Gougers! Prices are horrendous. Worth the trip to Battle Creek to shop. You save enough to buy your gas and a lunch! Shame on Family Fare for their prices.

Frequently low stock, higher prices than most grocery stores, and whoever is in charge of taking out-of-date items off the shelf needs to pay more attention. I don't shop here unless I have to and almost every time I get something that has expired or has been opened.

Good to have something so close to home, and in the city. Very friendly staff.

Small town grocery feel. But friendlier employees than the bigger chain groceries. Large selection of foods and other products. Seems like they keep their shelves stocked better than Walmart and Meijer. Plenty of parking.

I just moved to Albion and didn't know what to expect from Family Fare when I saw it on Google Maps. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has great prices, a huge selection, and very friendly staff.I would give it a five star review if it weren't for the rewards card that you must have in order to get the sales price. I've already got two of them now because I forgot to bring it the last time I went. I'd rather not have rewards and just be able to get the sales price without the dumb card.

Dirty store cashier will bag your food and put your dish soap with the ground beef in the same bag. Bottle room always something wrong. And service desk never open so you'll have to stand in long lines

Super high prices, like you'd expect from Family Fare / Spartan stores. Lower quality, not much selection. But Albion is a food desert, so no real push to improve the prices or quality. We go out of town for groceries as much as we can.

I love Family Fare. They are my go-to when I am missing something when I am cooking. I will add that their Hispanic section has nothing other than refried beans and tortillas. So if you are looking for something in particular, head on to Walmart.

This is a wonderful store to shop at especially for such a small community, the employees are hard working individual, risking their lives to feed the community, in this pandemic era. I'm a product of a foster child, my memories of this community are wonderful even when I was a young boy here back in the '80s. This community always has produced good hard working honest people who cares about their City. I salute you guys keep smiling keep believing keep dreaming we will beat this covid-1919 pandemic.

Over priced at times, watch for sales!! Also watch expiration dates on food (It's on sale for a reason). Be prepared to hold back on the anger you feel going through check out. It's rare to have a cashier with any sense of customer service. If you speak "hi, how are you?" You get nothing. $400. In hard earned cash... not even "have a great day" moving forward I'm shopping elsewhere, not for convenience. Marshall isn't that far.

Please make sure to check the date on every single item you purchase!! I’ve learned this the hard way after bringing home multiple goods that were expired from breadcrumbs, salad dressing, cereal, and more. Prices are very high, $10 for a 5 pack of apples that probably weren’t even fresh. Very upsetting that this is our only option for groceries in this community. Half the time the store isn’t even stocked. Will be going out of town from now on for my groceries.

Often items are not priced.. items are placed in discount section and have high prices ....watch the register display. Store maintenance could be better ....wonderful staff. You need their "Yes card" to get sale prices ...not bad for a small town store....

Once again the 3rd time Brenda at 808 am refused to use my store card and again used the stores card to get my points. I had my card out and tried to give it to her but instead she again used the store card as she did the 2 people in front of me. So there is no point in having a store card cause they steal the points and dont let you use your own card. I will go back to doing my main shopping else where. Stuff is often not the marked price and even if it is they refuse to let you get your rewards for shopping there by using the store card. Pointless.

Just moved to the area and extremely disappointed that this is the only grocery in town. Overly priced and I've now had multiple times where the stuff I've bought has gone bad within days in the fridge. Unless it's a canned good or a box of cereal, I'll expend the extra time and gas just to go to Jackson instead. And you can't blame the company because the one in Marshall has a far better selection and quality. Also, it seems like every other day they're releasing photos on social media attempting to identify shoplifters. Just not an enjoyable place to shop in any measure.

Just stopped by to pick up 4 items. All checkouts had long lines, people had full carts. They added one checkout, which was soon filled. Noted the entry had a cinnamon odor to it, so that was improved, but no one going to parking lots to retrieve carts left out there. I don't understand why people can't grab one when entering the store. Kind of help them out, a bit.
