Needed to get my dog groomed before we left for vacation. Dropped him off at 8 am and at 9:30 received a call that he couldn't be groomed because their groomer had an emergency. They were not apologetic and did not try getting him groomed with another groomer when I told them the urgency. I will not be coming back here and I recommend going somewhere else.

We switched to Thornwood Vet Clinic during the last few months of our 15+ year old dog's life as we were unsatisfied with the care provided by our prior vet. Thornwood Vet offered new suggestions and treatments to help with our dog's many health issues and also eased us into acceptance when it was time to say goodbye. I can't say enough good things about the care and support we received from everyone at the clinic. And the physical setting is so peaceful and beautiful. Thornwood Vet made a difficult journey much more manageable for us and we are incredibly grateful.

Dr. G has always been a consistent and quality provider for us. Our mastiff, Lucy, lived to 12 years old. TWELVE! She helped us identify and treat her anxiety and food sensitivities. Dr. G was so honest and kind when she saw it was time for Lucy to leave us. We will always have the beautiful image our sweet girl looking out on the farm as she went to sleep. THANK YOU DR G (and staff)!!!

I've been going to Thornwood for 6+ years now with 4 different dogs. They have been absolutely wonderful. They are quick to respond, anytime I call or email. Whenever my dogs have had something unexpected going on, they will usually get them in to be seen that day, which is not the norm for other clinics. Heather and Samantha are the best techs, they are so easy to work with. Dr. G and Dr. Deny are easy to talk to and will always give their honest opinion. I don't feel they try to push unnecessary things on you, as some places do, which I really appreciate. Even though I live on the other side of town now, it is still worth it for me to take them all the way to Ada to be seen, I completely trust them with my pet's care.

Great veterinarian and assistants! My fiancé and I were in town from Florida visiting our family and our dog lacerated her leg. We called over 10 veterinarian offices and no one was able to tend to our pup, except Thornwood. We were very pleased with their communication, urgency, and all around friendliness. 10/10 recommend!

Absolutely amazing service. Took one of our dogs there because he shredded and ate a leather toy. The staff was super friendly and thorough. They seem to really care about animals and I even heard them cheering on our big-little boy while they induced vomiting to try and empty the contents of his stomach. They clearly informed us of our options, and what their recommendations were along with giving us updates during them treating him. We will only be taking our dogs to this vet from now on.

Dr. Grusling has been helping my with my pets for years. She is very thorough with her exams and provides appropriate treatment planning options for her clients. When I first adopted my cat, we were struggling with inappropriate urination- she was the first vet to provide me with a solution to this inconvenient problem. She’s the best! Cannot recommend Thornwood enough!

Incredibly friendly, open and caring people! OK, yes We're a bit biased because our family has been going here for like the past 40 years (since we all moved back to Michigan) AND it's on our middle/high school bus route. So what?! This place is amazing and their advice is very down-to-earth. Plus our doggo loves visting! Wait, maybe it's a plus that the *humans* love visiting - of course our dogs and cats do!!

I’ve been taking my 15 year old labradoodle to Thornwood for years. They’re great. Always willing to take time to answer any questions that I have. On more than a few occasions have found a last minute boarding spot for Jack when we forgot to do adequate planning. Highly recommend them for both boarding and vet needs

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!! Please for the love of God, if you care about your pets, do not take them here. I took my 11 year old dog, Toby, to get treatment for his hip dysplasia and dental concerns. It looked like he needed some teeth removed. However, when the vet took a look at his mouth after 5 mins, they told me to put him down because they said it was cancer in the mouth. They came to this diagnosis after a quick look and no testing or biopsy. I pushed for more testing but was told that was unnecessary. It was suggested I put him down that week. This felt very rushed and unsettling so I went to another veterinary clinic to get a second opinion. And thank god that I did. After looking at Toby’s mouth, the only thing we needed to do was some teeth extractions and dental cleaning. We also did multiple biopsy’s and everything came back negative. My dog was cancer free and had much more time to live!! Thornwood veterinarians almost made me out my dog down for nothing! It’s truly unbelievable how confident the vet was when she told me he had cancer and to put him down. I spent thousands of more dollars for all the biopsy’s and test because thornwood gave me a cancer scare when all was needed was dental care. If you want to randomly have to put your beloved pet down for no reason, I suggest you find a new vet.

I had been having issues with my dog's previous vet's office for years and was not sure where else to go. A friend recommended Thornwood. I was able to get my dog in the same day I called to see if they were taking new patient appointments. The doctor was incredibly thorough and helpful. She answered all of my questions and explained everything so clearly. The front desk staff were the most generously kind people! Very fair pricing and affordable pet care. You guys are amazing! Thank you for helping us even through the weird days of the shutdown!

First visit to this clinic with a sick dog. They took her in right away and the staff could not have been any better. Very friendly, down to earth and knowledgeable. After my dog was seen, the doctor came out and spoke with me in detail and at length about her assessment. She really listened to my concerns and was respectful of my perspectives on the situation. You can tell they really care here! Very reasonably priced and they did not try to upsell at all. So happy to have found them!

The people that worked with me and my dog were absolutely wonderful and very informative. Vet told me my dog was about 10 days away from delivering her pups. 10 days later they were born. We have had 3 dogs seen here and Thornwood staff has always given us many options regarding our animals and what best meets their breed specific care . Our dogs also enjoy being boarded here, not sure if it's the walks or the attention from the staff, they are always happy & healthy when they come home.

We love Thornwood Vet Clinic. They genuinely love animals, are professional, and do not price gouge. They don't push expensive pet food or supplements. Our lab had knee surgery there and they took such good care of her. No question about your pet is silly; you can call or email them any time.

Extremely rude receptionist. I called to get my dogs vaccines sent over to a day care so I could send my dog there for the day. Called in the morning to get them sent over, by mid day they still weren’t sent. Called back to see if they could send them and they yelled at me saying they were so busy and didn’t get a chance. I understand if your busy but please don’t talk down to me and yell at me for simply asking. That was just one of many things.
